The family that runs the place is very friendly. The prices are very steep though. You can go a couple miles down the road to the bigger store and buy the same products for several dollars per bottle less. Even the grocery store prices for beer are less. Save your money.

This place is right next door so I usually come get my alcohol from here. The people who work there are very friendly and real. They once didnt have what I wanted, but they told me exactly when it would be back in stock. A few days later when I came back to get it, it was there and the same employee and I had a conversation with her because she remembered me.Decent selection and as long as youre not getting some obscure brand - come here.

The woman who owns it told me I couldn’t use vivino to decide what I wanted to purchase and that I had to take her advice if I wasn’t sure what to buy or leave the store. This is the WORST liquor store ever. My chip in my card did not work and so the angry lady who owns this place told me I could not shop there... I simply asked for her to swipe because my chip may not work and she yelled and told me to leave... GO TO SUPERIOR LIQUOR.

They have a smaller selection of liquor but a fairly large selection of beer and wine! I have had mixed experiences with the staff but for the most part they are just there to sell you booze.

I have always had a good experience at this store. I dont get the negative reviews. It is not upscale. It is in a supermarket shopping center. The people are very friendly. If you are looking for a Cherry Creek or Boulder experience you will need to go to Cherry Creek or Boulder.

This store does not respect customers. My girlfriend walked out crying today because the woman who runs the place nearly refused service because she “wasn’t skinny enough” to be the same person as in the ID photo. We are both well above the legal age and we’ve been coming here about once a week for at least 4 years now. Today will be the last time.I strongly urge others in the Rock Creek area to take their business to Superior Liquor. They have a much better selection, better prices, and as a bonus no one calls you fat.

This is a terrible liquor store that never has what you want and only one person that works there, I believe hes the owners son that is courteous. The rest make you feel like they rather you werent there. The last visit an older lady and a younger one were have a loud argument the whole time I was there. The girl who waited on me never even said thank you.

Completely rude! I needed some cherry liquor for my Black Forest cake. I asked the lady at the front if they had any. She couldn’t understand me even I repeated many time and showed her a picture of a cherry. She said no cherry. So we walked around too see if we could get anything else. The lady came over asked what we need and she said they didn’t have what we needed. Then I asked her if they had any rum. She immediately replied no rum in an very aggressive, rude attitude. I was surprised that a liquor had no rum. So I searched rum on google and showed her. She ran out of her patience and yelled ‘rum, there!’. So I’m still confused what have done triggered her anger. A store owner doesn’t want her customers to walk around in her store and shop wow. I understand that her English is not the best. I’m an Asian too. So I explained and showed her what cherry was. Clearly as an Asian she has some opinions towards Asians.

Extremely helpful staff. Just the right amount of selection I went in for our business party and have continued to go incense. Good hours and very easy parking. They are very friendly inside and will help you with anything you need Ill give you suggestions if you dont know. Thank you for being kind and I will see you folks soon good on you!

My wife and I use this store constantly and have never had a negative encounter. I cant speak to others bad experiences, but everyone who works here has been incredibly friendly and welcoming to us. Theyve ordered specific things for us in the past in order to keep our business. The prices are a little bloated, but theyre a small family owned business competing with a large liquor warehouse just over the hill. Sometimes you pay for convenience.

I brought my dad with me one time to see if it was me or the lady. After reading other reviews it turns out to be the older Asian lady. I recommend shopping at the store at least once to experience this person, she is a character. She will treat you as if you’re going to steal something. But be sides the older Asian lady, the rest of the staff is great. The sweet matured man is a delight to deal with. He loves sports and always has game on. Terrible location. On Coalton Rd, you hit every single red light and drivers start to lose their mind and do crazy things like just running lights because of it (I cant even blame them anymore!). I am completely over all businesses on this road. Also, their selection is minimal.

Doesn’t surprise me to find numerous bad reviews. The lady there was shaking her head and frowning at me as I was leaving because my fishing boots had dirt on them. Dude behind the counter went right to talking so I asked for a refund and left. At least the process refunds with how bad their customer service is 🤣

I really don’t understand all the bad reviews here. It’s a liquor store, not a five star restaurant. Some of the bad reviews are so over dramatic. My husband and I have coming here for years and we never experienced anything bad. The new place looks great. The prices are reasonable and they have a good wine selections. Their prices might be a little higher, but you can’t compare them to a warehouse. It’s like me comparing Safeway to Costco. They also special order any wines for you here too! So I love that. The family here is really nice. I like supporting small businesses and my community, so I will keep coming back.

I was at this store and prepared to spend hundreds of dollars. They didnt have the wine I was looking for but I made a purchase anyways. Then found out that I had locked my keys and phone in the car.I used the phone to leave my husband a message and they took the phone back. Would not let me make another call, would not google the number for my insurance unlock. They kicked me out of the store. My husband called the store back and they never picked up.This lady is surprised at the lack of empathy and extremely disappointed to have been treated that way by two women.I will not ever be going back not even for the other 200$ vintages of Pouilly Fuisse.

This woman always has a scowl, shes always yelling at someone on her phone, amd cant put it down to even answer a question. Her prices are high, the place is always dirty, and selection is poor. These are hands-down the rudest people I have ever experienced at a store. The old man YELLED at me and my 2 year old (in a stroller) when I looked at a bottle of wine and put it right back down where it belonged. “You pick it up- you buy it!!!!!!” It was seriously alarming, I was really freaked out.Superior Liquor is not just a better choice, it’s a fantastic choice. They are so friendly, great prices, clean and big.

They lied and said they couldnt use my credit card bc my chip is malfunctioning... everywhere else Ive shopped has been able to try 3 times then swipe the card with the strip. I hardly post and I just want to share a recent experience I had today with this store. I am of 32 years of age and have visited this store many times over the past couple years. I do not currently live in Colorado but I visit my brother who lives up the street. My brother has lived here for the past 15 plus years and has gone here countless times. But never again. The level of professionalism seen at this store is appalling. I was asked to show my ID and it is from Oregon. In Oregon if you change street addresses you are sent a sticker that wraps around your ID. It has the ability to be scanned. After showing my ID to this individual at this store I was asked... Why does it have this sticker ? I responded politely that in Oregon when you change addresses you are sent the sticker. I also mentioned that I flew the other day. The individual immediately grabbed the liquor and rudely and abruptly said we will not serve you. My brother who was right next to me said .. excuse me ? He is 32 years old, Ive been going here for 15 years. We were then immediately told to exit the store. I am stunned at the level of service at this store. No apology and they throw out a customer (myself) and my brother who has gone here for 15 years. Let me ask them a question.... If I was a minor ... Why would I be able to fly ? Why wouldnt my brother of just paid for me and why last year with the same ID was I allowed to purchase? I strongly urge people to never go to this store.

Went to get a drink to have with my mom from here while she was visiting from out of town. I carried everything up to the counter because my mom struggles with carrying heavy items. I didnt bring my id in with me because I had not planned on going but decided to once my mom got turned around in the parking lot of the hotel. The woman behind the counter began yelling and said they would not serve us because I carried it up to the counter. Ridiculous. The person buying was legal age with an id and I am almost 30. Will never go back I guess staring at the football game on the TV was more important than making a sale to help your business. I hope they close this nasty place down.

Gentleman behind the counter responded to my request for a 2-liter of 7up with a snarky remark. When I went to pay for the overpriced bottle of liquor, he asked for my ID. I jokingly said “you don’t remember me?” He clearly assumed that because I’m a while male with short hair, that me asking if he remembered me was “me getting mad”. I had a smile on my face the entire time and spoke to him in a quiet tone. He repeated “you don’t have to get mad” as if I did anything different during our interaction. I said “I’m not mad at all.” In a very cocky tone, he reassured me that I was mad. He followed his condescending comments up with “you don’t have to come back here again.” This is the second time I’ve been in there. This young man needs an attitude readjustment, and some anti-profiling training so he will treat all customers the same. If this is a family business, the rest of the family needs to get together and have a conversation with him about how he talks to customers. I’m very disappointed with the way I was treated at this location. To him specifically- just because I look clean cut and different from you, doesn’t give you the right to discriminate against me. I am a good customer. I buy very nice wine and just experienced the craziest thing. The owners were watching a playoff game, giving me very little attention. I get it. They were invested in some way. However, I was buying a bottle of Ferrari Carano Pinot Noir and a bottle of Cakebread merlot. The temperature of the store is roughly 72 degrees. I asked the owner of the store if she would honor that the last bottle of Cakebread I was buying might be bad? She said no! And kicked me out of the store. Lol. Never ever happened to me ever. I am a good customer buying good wine. I am not a scammer and was just racially prejudiced against. It’s so weird.

The selection here is terrible. Went in for rice wine of any kind for a recipe sake soju like anything and they dont carry any at all. The wine selection is super limited as well and is just over all disappointing. Unless you are looking for cheap wine or rum dont go here

This place was the only place where we could pick up alcohol in bottles to bring back to our hotel and party. They had great customer service and were very friendly.

Theyve been nothing but friendly and professional in every interaction Ive ever had with them. Maybe the below reviewer misread intentions, or maybe it happened exactly the way he describes and the owners were simply having a bad day. I dont know, but I feel a weird loyalty to this local business, and Im not usually the sentimental type. So take it for what its worth.As far as selection, Ive always been satisfied -- although Superior Liquor has more choice, for sure. If I need a special beer or liquor, Ill go there. But for 90%+ of my needs, Rock Creek Wine & Spirits is great.Cheers!

The only positive about this store is that its the only liquor store nearby. There is more room to walk that most liquor stores, but that results in less choices. They dont have a great selection of beer. They arent the friendliest people, but I dont know that they are as bad as some reviewers make them sound. They seem to be biding their time before Safeway buys them out. I wouldnt avoid this store if you find yourself needing liquor in Rock Creek. I just wouldnt seek them out.

Extremely rude people run this store. They have a dog behind the counter and I brought my service dog inside the liquor store (please note MOST liquor stores give your dog treats) and they told me my dog couldn’t be there. He’s a small golden retriever who has been in that store with me before but I feel like they just were on their high horse and wanted to make someone feel bad. Either way their prices high and service is bad. I don’t recommend coming especially when there’s a much better liquor store with a better selection of wine right off 36 and Mcaslin with much lower prices and better service

I live in Superior and love supporting the local businesses. The people that works here are very friendly. I had my kids with me today and didnt have enough hands to carry out my wines. the guy that worked there, offered to bring it out for me. I thought that was very sweet. Its the small gestures that counts in my book and goes a long way. This will be my new liquor store.

The family that runs this liquor store is incredibly kind and helpful. I asked them about carrying Stranahans whiskey and they had it on the shelves within a couple of days. Highly recommended!

I strictly only go to superior liquors even though I live across the street from this place. The lady that works here goes out of her way to be rude. Today I was desperate and decided to give Rock Creek another chance. I tried paying with my credit card and was yelled at because they get charged when my card doesn’t go through. She then threw my credit card on the counter. Furthermore, their beer selection and prices are not worth it. Superior liquor is the only liquor store near here people should be going to. If you want to support small business go to liquor stores in Louisville that deserve it more.

Never going back. Ive gone there several times without a real problem, though the courtesy wasnt kind. Today I went to make a purchase and my credit card didnt go through though not by my fault. I gave him another credit card and it also failed. I told him that it might be his card reader because I have never had a problem. He told me that if it ever happens again he never wants me to come back into his store again. Huh?? Are you kidding. The wife tried it on a different register and it worked fine. He was still angry. He said that every time he tries to run a card and it doesnt work it charges him 30 cents and trying it 3 times costs him money. I informed him that every time he tries it and it doesnt work it charges my $1.75. I have other options to spend my money. Sorry but the mom and pop are real jerks and do not deserve my business. If you think of going there, my advice is abandon and go to another place right down the road. More than rude!!!

Quick and easy place for basic alcohol wants

It gets one star because I’m required to give us something to post a review. I just stopped in this liquor store for a quick six pack after I bought my groceries at Safeway. it’s not my regular liquor store. I asked the woman owner if she had 12th of Never Lagunitas ale. she said I don’t know my husband buys the beer. A patron behind me struck up a convo and I said it’s hard to find this brewer. I said maybe it’s the price not meaning the price in the store. I bought the beer she shoved the cc receipt towards me and never said thanks somehow she was offended. I asked for a bag and she gave me one with such attitude and negative energy that I have to believe she’s heard that her prices are too high before. No excuse for this behavior and I’m never going back!

The woman owner is the rudest woman I have ever met. If you need more than one small paper bag for wine she charges 10cents each and i was buying expensive wines. They are very difficult to understand and misunderstand everything. When i queried the 10 cents charge for a small paper bag for my wine she said she did not want to serve me! I am suprised any one goes there at all! Unbelievable. I am suprised they make any money because it seems they throw everyone out. It is such a shame safeway cant sell wine - safeway’s customer service is so good. “Superior licquor” is awesome. Massive selection, helpful staff who speak English, they accept amex, and they don’t scream and shout at you if you ask to pay with amex.

I hate this place, been 2 times and I am never going back. Both were horrible experiences, do NOT go to this place if you have social anxiety or just care about customer service at all.First experience was couple months ago. I have insomnia and went at around 5 pm to get some vodka. The asian dude said I had red eyes and wouldnt sell to me. Of course I have red eyes dummy I got no sleep last night! Told him that and he still wouldnt sell to me.2nd time was just today. Figured Id try again at this store cause I was at the safeway anyways. Just wanted to get a bottle of wine, when I tried to pay using my parents credit card (SAME LAST NAME) she wouldnt let me. Said IDK how old your dad is, how thick can you be lady? Of course hes 21 I am like mid 20s how can my father not be 21????DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. ALWAYS GO TO THE ONE ON MCASTLIN. THANK ME LATER GOOGLE MAPS.

The guy is a dick. My card had a problem running and instead of trying to run it again he was rude and said I needed to leave. He wouldnt be charged for .75 cents again since his machine made an error. I stopped by since it was the closest and should have seen he reviews before hand. A 10 minuet stop and Ill never go there again.
