Love the selection of books, music, and other items. Theres also a Starbucks in the store, so after youre done shopping, sip some coffee and start reading the new bestseller.

Barnes and noble like most have an adventurous calming vibe with the coffee shop in it and all the many great stories in the book shop

I shop at Barnes and Nobles at least once a week. Unfortunately the location on Bell Road has been closed to I went to this location in Surprise! Worst customer service provided by Jason and Dylan. Jason held on a stack of books for me for no more than 5 minutes as I went back to grab one more. He completed my order and I left. When I returned home, I realized one of my books were missing so I called the store to see if he still had it in the front. I came back to the store ( a 25 minute drive ) and was met with hostility and mansplanning from the assistant manager Dylan. When I spoke to Jason, he couldn’t even make eye contact. When Dylan was talking, Jason started laughing right in front of me, as if I was invisible! Completely unprofessional! Dylan was able to say that it was a misunderstanding from the beginning, but stated he was “under the impression” and that it was as “implied”, instead of listening to what I was saying in the beginning! Active listening and accountability goes a long way. The last I checked, a book does not grow feet and just walk away. Thankfully, Melissa was able to complete my purchase. She was the only helpful one from the beginning. I left my number for the store manager Anita to call me when she is working, Hopefully these 2 gentlemen will get training on how to speak to customers and resolve issues instead of looking the other way, talking over and interrupting, and laughing. Shopping local from now on.

Great as usual. I like the big selection of reading material available. Reasonable too.

Staff was very friendly. They guided my girls to the books they were seeking. One actually went out if her way to find me a book on dinosaurs off the discount table. Saving me a lot of money. They asked if I was an educator and signed me up for great deals. Awesome place

Experience was great, got a drink from the cafe in there and it was amazing 10/10 would recommend, also have really good and high quality books there.

Books. Ah....books. Friendly and helpful service. They didn’t have the book I was looking for but double checked, offered to order it and have it shipped to the house, and let me know two other locations that had copies. Excellent!!!

So long I havent visited a well maintained Barnes & Noble Bookstore. This was so far the best one.

Clean store and well stocked. Has a Starbucks too. Theres nothing like the smell of new books and coffee.

Great place to browse. Real books are so much better than ebooks in my opinion. I always find something interesting.

Tried to just ask a question. 3 people later, finally got an answer. At least the third one was nice.

One thing that bugs me about b&n; on the walls they have posters of all these great books, but their shelves are full of trash.

I searched and located a book to order on line. After trying I discovered my membership had expired. I made several attempts to renew it but I kept being returned to start over. After much frustration I tried the email address provided in the help section. I filled out the form but guess what…..it would go through when I clicked submit! You talk about frustrated ha, to the point I wrote this r3view and quit any future purchases with BN. This goes out to my friends and family who I got started with BN. I don’t need this poor customer Service.

All of the workers were very helpful, and kind. The kids area entertained my 2 year old with ease. They also surprised me by having vegan chocolates on a stand in the bakery area!

I was able to find what I wanted online, and the store held it for me. I arrived to pick my item up, and went directly to the customer service desk. There was no line. The clerk had my item ready, bagged it, and I was gone. It took 5 minutes, tops. Wonderful service. I love this store.

Michelle did a great job recovering my Nook books. Her knowledge of what is needed with an older tablet was what was needed. I can happily read my books again.

B&N used to be my favorite book store for many years. But lately they changed their policy and all writers of suspense novels are gone. No more $7.00 books. Now I had to pay over twenty dollars for a book that I could have bought for much less. Not doing business with them anymore.

Extensive selections and great bargains. Manager helped with kids club membership. We signed up 4 days after my sons birthday but they still allowed the free birthday treat. Disappointed that the chocolate cupcake contains peanut ingredients but we were thankful he could still eat the vanilla.

Loved seeing all the books. Having a small starbucks cafe insidr helps too. Take a look at their clearance, always some good finds. We ended up buying 5 books and wanting more. I pray this is a business to stay even after this sad pandemic.Good luck to all Businesses

Its that cozy feeling that you cant find anywhere else. Great selection of books and nick nacks. They have a team that sanitizes high tough items and staff thats more than happy to help you find what youre looking for. Also recommend picking the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. Wont be disappointed.

Post Covid they have cut down on their inventory, but they still have a large selection of books, magazines, movies, and record albums. Starbucks, also.

This is a wonderful store to get lost in. I enjoy reading childrens books to my kids or browsing the novelty items like the Funko Pop-In a Box characters. It is always a good time here. One can get lost in here 😊.

Had the magazine I wanted.could,t ask for more.

Ive always loved browsing through the books in this store. They have one for every taste or sometimes a dozen for every taste. Its always fun to browse through new releases and its a great place to go with friends. They have a large variety of things for everyone.

As much as I enjoy all the nice things that Barnes & Noble has inside of it, I will no longer shop there. They take a definite political side and sell for one political view point and against the other. A company such as Barnes and Noble, full of literature and influence, should only promote a neutral standpoint when it comes to politics, religion, or any hot social topic.

Barnes and Noble is always a great experience, it smells like Intelligence when you go inside.

This was a nice Barnes & Noble but the author was put in the corner and we could hear him or see him they should have had them in the back where the kids section was so that we could all gather around and hear and see when the author was reading his book.

I love B & N Bookstore. Only problem I have them with them, is that there isnt one near where I live. Its a 45 minute to an 2 hour drive to one . And yes, I shop on line. A great place to go and just see what they have for you or kids, or a family member.

The fact that there are >200 titles of drama filled BS magazines feed by paparazzi for each science, hobby, technical interest magazine speaks to how little interest this place has in distributing possible inspirational material nowadays. Barnes and noble stopped carrying the only two remaining machinist magazines in the last 6 months or so and this goes for electronics as well. Was hard pressed to find anything requiring brains to peruse.

Im a book junkie so I love this store. First however, their prices are standard retail which tend to run quite a bit high. The staff and selection are great though. Any time that I have ever had a question the people here have bent over backwards to try to answer it. Although most of these books can be purchased online for a fraction of the cost I have never had one single bad experience here.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I needed a book that they did not have in stock. They took me right to the counter, found the book online, placed the order and said the would call as soon as it arrived. So simple. Lots of very interesting things in the store and some very cool books.

Like all Barnes and Noble bookstores, this one in Surprise AZ doesnt disappoint. The layout of the store is like all the BN stores so finding what you are looking for is easy and familiar. The selections are plentiful and serve any literary taste. We picked up a couple of discounted classics as well as the usual calendars and specials. Never a bad experience at this bookstore.

Barnes and Nobles in Surprise is a great place to get kids interested in books. They have an awesome selection of seasonal books as well as good classics. We love to stop by the cafe after and have a snack while we read. Bonus, we find unique gifts for our friends and family here.

Amazing experience. Customer service was great and you dont get that everyday other places. A gentleman helped me, he was very polite and knowledgeable! Being in retail management myself, I applaud the management team here for doing so well training and inspiring their staff. I would recommend this location to everyone!

Spent hours enjoying this book store. Theres a nice coffee shop, cards, desk items, and, of course, books. There is something for everyone here. The staff is visible and helpful.

Get good books and magazines at a nice price here.

Its great that they are able to stay open during these times but unfortunately it doesnt feel welcoming like the bookstore normally does. They are doing the right thing by not permitting any areas to sit or congregate.

I go to Barnes & Noble bookstores all over the country. I really thought this was the best laid out store I have been in. All the new books were well displayed and identified right when I walked into the store.

Great store. Any book that you need they can find for you. Either in the store or online they will get the book that you need. Also a great place to sit and have a cup of coffee and a cookie.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Store was relatively clean. I couldnt give it a 5 star review because the selection was very limited in the topic I was searching and its not like it is an obscure topic. I do feel that generally, their selection is large and hard to match.

Whats not to love about B&N? It makes my book nerd inner goddess shine. I love stepping inside and smelling the coffee and smell of new books!

This Barnes and Noble is awesome!! Customer service is great, one of the best locations Ive been to and Ive been to 14 of the 15 in the state. Definitely top notch! Plus it is one of two locations in Arizona with the trend shop. Keep it up, Surprise! Ill be back!
