Had the best experience with design cents bought my whole household from her store she worked with me on all the prices making it affordable for myself and family Michelle thank you for going above and beyond for my family and I 100% satisfied

What a joke! This dimly lit place is a crowded mess of mostly mid to low end housewares. Some pieces have price tags, many do not, so you have to ask for a price & then the young man has to call his mother to ask, etc. Fortunately everything is WAY over-priced & youll only need to ask once or twice before realizing these people are trying to take advantage of you!

It feels pointless to leave a review because people keep supporting this scam of a business. I will, however, be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on Monday. We had a similar experience as the couple who consigned a piece of furniture and then moved back north. It took them 6 months to get the money - and that was only after they showed up in person. My Mom moved into an assisted living home and consigned a double reclining loveseat. Every time she called Michele to find out the status she was told either Michele would call her back (she never did) or if Michele answered the phone she told my mother she would look into it and get back to here. She never did. After approximately 14 months of this I came to visit and talked to Michele. I was told my mother had been given a check. She doesn’t drive and has not been to the shop for over a year. Michele finally told me she would look up the check to see if it had been cashed and get back to me. She not only did not call me back, but would not answer my calls. I finally had someone call from another number and, of course, Michele answered. This time she said she couldn’t find the check so she would write my mother a new one. I picked it up within the hour.This woman - and her family are running a scam that is taking money from the elderly. She’s in a great location to do it - a retirement community! What a greedy, shallow and just basically unkind family this is. If I could give negative stars I would.

They want $499.00 for a chair that is worth no more than $50.00 out of there minds

What a jumble. The young man who ran it was as nice as could be but wow, it was all crowded into a tiny space & really nothing that stood out.Maybe next time.

Overpriced Second Hand Store, everything is overpriced!!! They said that they will give us free delivery but when they delivered our order, the driver asked for a $100 from my husband because he said he is a different entity with the owner. These people are scammers and will never go back there. $950 for 2 used cabinets with no free delivery, thats a rip off.

I found this store by accident yesterday and decided to check it out. I just moved to Surprise, so I thought I would just see if they had any pieces that would look good in my new home. Turns out, there were TONS! I loved looking through all of their items, and I got a nice leather bench that I thought was a good price. The worker was also very nice and helpful. I am excited to go back and get more items for my house!

The store was messy and employees were not helpful. Wasnt there for longer than 5 minutes.

The man helping us out was nice. Great selection. Able to find what we were looking for at a reasonable price! Definitely recommend!

Very cluttered hard to see quality of pieces because of sparse lighting.

I don’t know why people are giving this consignment store less than 4 stars. Every time I visit my experience has been stellar. The store is filled with many items to chose from. Clean, professional staff, and incredible owner makes my to go store every time I visit Surprise from 50 miles away. Everyone make tme to see Design With Cents when you visit or reside in the area!

I bought a chair December 22nd for my Father for Christmas. We all thought it would fit in my car but it didnt. I had to do more grocery shopping etc. for Christmas. Michele said she would deliver the chair. It was so nice that she offered. She gave me her cell phone and said when I was heading home give her a call. She came and delivered the chair within me getting home within a few minutes. Now thats customer service !!!

They get their furniture from Goodwill across the street....We had a lot of fun walking around looking at all the different furniture/ finishing. We inquired about 2 floor lamps which were priced at $69 each. They offered both of them to us for $100 which is a good deal but it was more than we were hoping to spend. We decided to think about it & went across the street to the Goodwill and found the exact same lamp (the matching table lamp that they must not have found to complete their matching set). Crooks.

Although They did not have what I was looking for, but they did have a very nice and varied selection of items for sale.I didnt honestly pay too much attention to the prices as I was looking for some specific items.I would definitely visit this place in the future for quality used furnishings and decor

Just moved from Iowa...checking out all the local second-hand stores. Got there at 10:15; three customers waiting but no worker? Went on another errand, then called to see if someone had shown. Went back to find 2 younger boys stretched out on couches playing loud music (including F bomb). Greeted us as we came in. That was all. Found store to be so crowded it was hard to get a good look at anything! 😫

Most positive reviews relate to purchases at this “consignment” shop. However, do not ever try to have anything sold here.We had a new coffee table (less than 2 months old for over $350) taken there in late March 2018 to be sold since we were leaving the area to return north, but being new, we figured it would sell quickly.We never heard a word from them for over a month, so we called. After numerous calls we were told in May that it sold. We asked when we could expect payment. The woman owner, (Michelle) told us it would be sent when they did their books. Well, we waited and nothing mailed to us in late June. We then called every few weeks/months with the same story. We then talked with her son, Ray. He sounded apologetic, but same story. No payment. By this time it was into August or September.We returned to AZ for Thanksgiving, so went in to get our check. Michelle was there and said, “I dont have the checkbook here, but I will make sure I have the check here tomorrow.” The next day, we called to make sure the check was ready. She indicated she “forgot” the check, but she would get the check or see if her son could get the checkbook and it would be about an hour.We went there a couple of hours, went there and FINALLY we got our check (begrudgingly). . After over 6 months!If you ever sell anything here, youve been warned. They are hoping that snowbirds sell their items there, leave the area, and they string them on until they give up since they are out of the area. That’s quite a business model!

We are new to the area and had to furnish a house. We found several pieces of furniture that were reasonably priced. Michelle is very willing to negotiate so will definitely use her business in the future.

The best place to shop...the prices are fun and the people are friendly and tje environment is awesome...prices for every budget...style that rocks...and the location is clean, and just looks like a million dollar center...if you dont go then you are by far missing out...setvice dog friendly and they treat you like family

The store was nice clean. Sale lady every Polite ready to give you a good deal. Some things were a little overpriced.

A ton of resale merchandise. Almost too much actually. Its piled high and you have to dig around to see everything.

Love this store. They have a wide variety of items in stock. You have to visit it often because the inventory changes so much. One of the best stores in the Phoenix area.

We have been going to Design With Cents for years now and have had nothing but positive experience with the owner Michelle. I have read some of these comments and was very surprised to hear the opposite.We have purchased majority of our furniture for our house and casita and the owners have always worked with us on the pricing.Worth a visit and mention our names Linda & Bruce.

Crazy overpriced. $150 rugs with stains, $90 decorative baskets....they say make an offer but it’s still so overpriced. It was also crowded and hard to look at anything. I won’t be going back

This place is a hidden gem. If you havent visited, I would highly suggest you do.
