Great staff and products at a good price

My sister and I went in a while back and had an issue with the owner making rude remarks. We went today and were looking at some clothing items. We tried them on and left the unwanted ones where they asked us too. I walked out while my sister was in the store still (without their knowledge) and she heard one employee say to the other “mom, mom, look, nothing fit again”. This is by far disrespectful as the first issue was regarding the same thing. We are good customers and are always nice.

Used to be a good store but they can’t seem to keep rude and snarky comments to themselves no matter how kind of a person you are they will not recognize a good customer when they see one. They should be embarrassed to act like that while running a business.

A little bit for everyone and the owner is hardworking knowledgeable and willing to help you find what you need.

I love it because they have a HUGE selection of camo stuff in a wide variety of colors and variations. Plus its well organized and its easy to find what youre looking for.

Great store. Onlt store around that has ski pants and winter coats in stocks. The staff is great and the selection of new and used is amazing. Love this place

Ive been to Scampers maybe four times and each time it has felt like walking into a small town gossip shop. The selection of kids clothing is not exciting and resembles that of garage sale leftovers. I was especially put off by hearing the conversations amongst staff, which included the first time I heard the phrase Swantons Finest. I came back to edit my rating to include a comment after the owner left the comment below. I also edited my rating from two stars to one.

Recommended to stop by if you are going through this town or are in this town. Alot of nice an inexpensive things.

This place has the nicest two ladies there. The owner ( I believe) and her mom, the sweetest old lady. She is very honest and makes sure when something is not returnable she again lets you know before buying her items. Today was my 5th ish time going there, only 5th because I live in Barre. I would recommend this place very much. Never have I bought clothes and brought them home to realize they stunk. They carry so much stuff and I xludes All

Love this place! Always find what Im looking for! Only thing is its just off that they print off compare prices to brand new products and price like 10 bucks difference. Used is used. They dont print them for everything either. I donate to places like this so others will get good deals on something I couldnt move myself. Its sad seeing something I donate for a good cause priced so high just because I take care of things...

Aside from smelling disgusting and containing ratty clothing, Scampers also has one extremely rude employee. The other day, I went to Scampers to see if they were accepting clothing items. I asked, and this younger male employee told me “look at the Facebook page. Just look at that. I don’t have time to answer it.” Which was false, considering how there were only 2 other people in the store, that were being taken care of by the other employee working. After telling him I could not find it on the Facebook page (I dont even have Facebook, so it took me a while to get on) he said “let me see the tote.” I gave it to him, he cracked opened the cover, slammed it shut, and pushed it back at me, saying “nope sorry not taking this.” I responded with an okay, and went to take the tote back. While doing this, the other employee, whom he referred to as “granny” walked over to ask what was happening. He quickly said “don’t even bother granny her tote is half full this is a waste of time.” Then he looked at me and said “sorry. Bye now. Bye.” I was astonished. I simply just wanted my tote back, and to get out of that store. His grandmother, the owner I’m assuming (because I heard it was family owned), told me “we are only accepting children’s sizes 7-8”, which would have been helpful to know in the first place!!!! Before bringing my tote in!! I said “okay thank you.” And went to pick it up. This younger heavier male tried again to take my tote, and I quickly grabbed it and left, with him huffing and puffing behind me. If my theory is right, and she is the owner and that is her grandson, I am extremely ashamed that she allows him to work there. He is rude, and arrogant. I have never had such an unpleasant experience like this. Would not recommend this store to anyone, based on the quality of their items and especially the quality their service.
