When my daughter and son in law decided to come from VT to NY to marry during the height of Covid lockdown, we did everything we could think of to add playful touches and make it the wedding of their dreams. When we decided to do a drive by reception on very short notice, our family and friends could not have been more gracious, so we wanted to give them a little bit of Vermont as a way of celebrating this very sweet moment in our lives. That is when Jonathan Fortin, of Carman Brook Farm stepped in. He listened to our idea for a wedding favor, and said we were in luck since they were bottling up batches of small maple leaf syrup bottles as we spoke. They even measured the bottles while I was on the phone so I could create labels. My 85 year old mom labeled every bottle, delighted to be in on the preparations for her granddaughters wedding. We had our favors within days, and they were a priceless surprise for our new bride and groom to give out to all those who drove by to share our joy. I have been ordering maple syrup and gifts from Carman Brook Farm for years. I am a native of Vermont and live in California. Locally purchased maple syrup - usually made in Canada - is just not good enough. My now grown children and my wife, all Californians, can tell the difference. Vermont syrup from small producers is not co-mingled with syrup from many producers and not stored in big tanks in some warehouse. Vermonters take their syrup very seriously! Check out the University of Vermont Proctor Maple Research Center for more information on this Vermont product. The folks at Carman Brook Farm run a family operation and their committment to quality is evident. I recommend their products without reservation!

I have been proudly carrying real Vermont Maple Syrup from CB Maple on my motorcycle as I travel the country. For over 14 years I have enjoyed your syrup in National Parks and some of Americas best breakfast spots.Recently I asked Karen to ship syrup to a friends house in California so I could make him and a dozen others a fantastic breakfast. Thanks to Karen my mediocre breakfast received rave reviews.One thing has been proven time and time again, you can fix a bad breakfast with real Vermont Maple Syrup or you can wreck a good one with the fake carp.Easy choice.

Cant say enough good things about these people. 2 years ago I ordered their sample pack to figure out what maple syrup our family of 4 liked the most. We came to the consensus that it was the Golden Delicate Taste/Fancy variety. Well last year we got a quart...yeah that didnt last long and we were stingy not using it in recipes because we didnt have that much...well we finally ran out and this year got 4 quarts for baking etc. The quality is just as good as before and they are always so friendly! I had the opportunity to grow up near the Fortins who own and operate Carman Brook Farm, LLC. What a great family who have always been hard workers and those blood lines have continued down for generations. If you want a real sugaring experience I would suggest that you go and visit and see for yourself how the sugaring process has evolved to what it is today. Carman Brook not only makes awesome syrup, but you can get Maple Cream, several different grades of Maple Sugar Candies, as well as the different grades of syrup. During this time of year you can usually find hot dogs in sap cooking in the sugar house, samples of the syrup being made, as well as many items to purchase and take home for sweet treats later on. Our family favorite has always been the Maple Cream and the Cotton Candy! Dont forget to ask about Sugar on Snow if you are there visiting! Its the cats meow so to speak! Carman Brook Farm is a family run Maple Syrup Business. In my mind one of the very best products anywhere in Vermont and Beyond. I have been a customer for over 16yrs and I have to travel almost an hour to get to the farm to buy my syrup and maple products, it is so worth it. All my family looks forward to the boiling season each year and we feel so welcome every time we go to visit. Karen, Dan, Levon and Jamison always welcome us with open arms. Our kids & grandkids are always in awe at the operation, which the Fortins show, teach and share with so much love and patience. The kids never forget the visits and as they have grown older and some have moved away, they always ask if we are going to the farm and get some syrup to share on our visits. We we’re introduced to Carmen Brook Farms a few years ago and will only get our syrup from them. We go through a few gallons a year because we use it for everything, salad dressing, baking, cocktails you name it!

This place is a working dairy and maple sugar farm about as far north as you can get in Vermont and not be in Canada. The owners are friendly and happy to share their knowledge. We sampled several kinds of maple syrup before deciding on the perfect jug to purchase.We were invited to explore the farm and see the new calf, born just the day before our visit. Chickens live in a mobile tiny coop that can move their fertilizer to where it will do the most good. Dont be dissuaded by the dirt road, it is used by school busses and we had no problems driving on it in our van.

I purchased my 1st order of Maple Syrup from Carman Brook after my order from Canada disappeared in US Customs clearance. Someone obviously enjoyed my syrup. Found Carmen Brook and it proved a great find. Excellent product and super customer service. We far prefer - taste and price over store bought. Order the Dark Amber. And their bottle variety has proven to make awesome gifts.
