Powers Guaranteed Services was recommended to us by our realtor and it was a great recommendation. In March, Power installed a whole house generator for us, and just now in July finished installing AC/heat mini-splits throughout my house. From sales, to scheduling, to installation, to follow-up, the people at Power Guaranteed Services are fantastic. They came to my house, assessed my needs, made proper recommendations after showing me many options, explained the pros and cons of each approach to allow us to make an informed decision. Scheduling installation was easy, and reminders and preparation requirements were frequent and thorough. And the team they sent to install were great! Worked quickly, professionally, asked for my preferences when needed, and cleaned up completely. They tested and walked us through everything. I highly recommend Power.

They came on time and were so polite. They introduced themselves and went to work efficiently. They cleaned up better than it was when they arrived. Answered all my questions and in my opinion they deserve a commendation. They also praised the owner of the company and told us of the things the owner did for the community and help provided to other countries. Very praiseworthy. Good company to work for and to work with.

Update 6-23-21: no communication again. They were supposed to call Monday or Tuesday this week to schedule the repair to the radiant heat they damaged during installation. Of course, it didn’t happen.You need to invest in training your staff. These are needless headaches that you’re creating. I never asked or demanded immediate action. In fact, I even gave your guys the space to retract that statement in case they needed longer to get parts or schedule a return. But, they insisted they would be here to repair the damage. No call/no show. You set an expectation and then didn’t follow through. Just like a agreed on a project with Sean and then you sent a crew that planned on doing a different job.In short, I don’t trust you. I don’t trust the things your employees say and I won’t be calling you back for my generator needs in the future specifically because you are not trustworthy.ORIGINAL 3 star review:This is a tough review for me. In many ways the substantial crew that were involved in the 3 day project, installing mini-splits, did an excellent job. When I was on site, they were professional, knowledgeable and courteous. However, sales is a disaster and I’d characterize Sean’s method of communication as expedient.We spent substantial time going over the approach we desired for installation. We agreed upon a price provided a 50% deposit and then when the crew finally showed up to install, there were substantial changes. Unacceptable changes that were made because “it would be more difficult for the staff.” And for nearly 30k I’m not at all interested in how inconvenient it is. Their method would have created ridiculous eyesores all over the exterior of the home.Once that was corrected, things seemed fine, so I left them to it and went to work during day 2. That was a mistake. My wife called me when they made a mistake. They accidentally drilled into the radiant heat in the floor. I’m completely understanding that a mistake can happen. However, my wife felt compelled to call me when the response to the mistake was “well you’re going to be doing renovations soon, so you may as well leave it. They probably would have hit the radiant anyway if they’re going to change the floor.” This would have left us without heat since renovations may not even take place until after winter given the long delays sourcing materials and appliances.I certainly wasn’t going to accept that. Later in the evening, I found that they had installed shut off switches in the most bizarre locations creating more eye-sores. Again, not discussed ever by sales and the crew apparently lacked the foresight to involve us, the homeowners, in the decisions making process.At this discovery, I insisted on a manager onsite to ensure that these issues would be resolved. We discussed all of what had transpired on day 3 with Matt, who understood or at least empathized with our dissatisfaction and committed to resolve all of the issues as well as bring our concerns to the owners.All of the negative aspects to this job could have been easily resolved proactively with better communication. I hope powers takes our feedback seriously. In spite of these difficulties, the end result was more than satisfactory. I’ll update again after final repairs are made, but at this point, I’m confident that we’ll have a happy ending.Based on the way other aspects of the job went, this could have easily been a 5-star review if communication had simply been more complete and transparent prior to and during the installation process.

I cant say enough about how helpful the organization is. First contact was good and it kept getting better from there. They updated the date from 6 weeks to 1 week because they had a cancellation. The technician was very patient and answered all of my questions. Over the next few weeks they put up with my modifications to the plan which at the end, the project is well on track and I look forward to its completion.

I just had a whole home generator installed by powers and was thrilled with the experience. From day one they were super informative, responsive and professional. They cleaned up after themselves extremely well even after outside conditions were muddy and very messy. Everything works as it should and they were on time and so easy to work with throughout the whole process. I would recommend powers to anyone who is looking for a whole home generator every time.

Best place to work with on getting a generator. I get the generator from them and have them do the factory authorized start up then they do all the maintenance. Not cheap but good. After sales service is more important than price.

I have been a Powers customer for more than 15 years. I purchased a relatively large generator as a result of my wifes need for emergency oxygen (she suffered from emphysema) in case of a power outage. The generator recommended by Powers has definitely lived up to its reputation and, over all these years, Powers has definitely lived up to their reputation for outstanding service. They know what they are doing but you will pay for it and then some!I just had them out since our generator was not working properly. Tech was knowledgeable and fixed the problem with in an hour...$120 for his time PLUS a $220 for Travel labor PLUS a $90 Travel fee...so Im out $432.

I purchased a house in southern New Hampshire with a standby generator and am handy, but decided it would be wiser to have a qualified professional maintain and service the generator. The company and people at Powers care about the customers and made sure they did things right - very professional. The price for the regular service agreement is very reasonable for the piece of mind and value you receive. The thoroughness of their annual service is top notch. Scheduling a service was easy. This is a good company with good people.

Yearly checkup of generator. Tech showed up a few minutes early for appointment. Tech was friendly and professional. He listened to my concerns, knew exactly what was going on, and what adjustments to make. Service was performed quickly. Afterward, he explained what he had done, and the results of his tests. Doing business with Powers has been quick and easy for the past 5 years.

First of all I had asked for Ian to service my Generator after the last service in December 2018. Shawn said that would be fine because Ian lived the closest to me. Who shows up? Rob, a person that I complained about in the past. (The guy that took 1 1/2 to find a blown fuse [and admitted it] and talked to me after the service was done and charged me for the talk time). BTW: Shawn reversed the talk time charge. After about 1 hour (53 minutes to be exact) Rob said that he was done with the MAJOR Service and asked if I wanted my Transfer switch checked. WHAT??? For $450.00, YES, I wanted the Transfer switch checked. Rob is a nice guy who is not very smart and I do not want him ever again servicing my generator!!! Additionally, Ian had suggested that I use Synthetic Oil for the Major Oil change. I agreed. So I thought that would happen. It did not! Rob did not know about the Oil issue and said that he used regular Oil and that he had no synthetic Oil with him. I hope you folks can pay attention what transpired with your customers when the Techs show up here. You folks installed my generator (about $30,000.) and have serviced ever since I bought it. I hope things improve.

He wanted to charge me about $1000 more than the MSRP listed on Kohlers web site for the generator he recommended (in addition to installation and setup charges). We continued a dialogue trying to find the best match for my needs. Then I guess he lost interest, as his last email to me said hed get back to me with more info. That was months ago. I bought elsewhere.

Purchased a standby residential generator 6 years ago. Powers was good at providing routine maintenance on the system. However, the unit failed after 172 hours of service. It has now been going on 4 months and Powers has still not been able to repair the system. They claim the defective part is not available they and dont know when it will be available. Their suggestion is that I rent a generator while I wait for them to do something. I went with Powers because they insured me that they provided outstanding service, could address any repair issues or would find an alternate solution for any unforeseen problems. It requires multiple calls to their service department to get an update on the repair status (they dont return calls). If you are looking for a generator company that stands behind their products and promises look elsewhere.

I held off on buying a generator for years. Then after an extended power outage I finally had enough and took the plunge. I researched generator installation companies and chose Powers based on price and overall reputation. They came out to the house reviewed my needs and recommended a Kohler LP unit, but didnt try to over sell me something bigger than I needed.I knew after the installation I had chosen well. The technicians were prompt and polite and did a great job of doing a very clean and professional looking installation. They also left the place cleaner than they found it, frankly I was blown away! Its been almost a year now and these folks are a pleasure to do business with still maintaining that family business type of customer service I have come to appreciate in NH.

Brand new Generac generator completely broke down twice within a year with under 80 hours on it. Powers Generator person literally doesnt understand customer service and decided to give me attitude on the phone. If I could give a zero star I would. Also, Powers Generator is extremely expensive. You think when you pay more than premium to install something, they wouldnt give you attitude over the phone to a customer that spent over $16,000 with them.

Bought a house that had a generator they installed and I needed to make a cosmetic repair to it due to damage during some construction, and they gave me some asternomical price so I requested a list of the items they were replacing (figured they were replacing things that didn’t need to be touched) and they have not responded to me. Then, I receive an email a month or so later saying that I requested information about a preventative maintenance plan when I never asked for such a thing... and emailed that person back telling them I still hadn’t heard back about my itemized list... and still no response from that either.Would not recommend, going straight to manufacturer for the parts I need.

Generator works when needed. Annual and semiannual service are competently done.
