This is the standard for all grocery stores. Well stocked shelves and assortment. Helpful and friendly employees. I drive past other chain grocery stores to shop at Hy- Vee.

This hy-vee has a really good layout. Never had a problem. It is rather busy but I could have been going during peak hours without knowing it.

Ordered online for pick up. Systems were down which is understandable.… But they informed me they were out of all fruit/fruit pizza and didn’t substitute any of my order and did not communicate that . I went into the store and bought all the fruit that was on my pick up order. I will never do a pick up at this Hy-Vee again if I cannot trust them to be honest and get the items needed.

Nice, clean store. Great variety of ready to eat hot and cold foods, small dining area as well. Liquor selection is pretty good. Small flower section but well stocked.

Overall this store is well stocked with an ample assortment of fresh fruit and vegetables. Butcher on premises for special cuts of meat. Seafood selection is above average for the area. Bakery and deli offer nice selection. Willing to order what they dont carry. One of my favorite stores for the area.

I went to your salad counter by the deli. A very nice man was filling the salads that I needed. As I was standing there, a young, tall guy with the name tag Tyler came out from the back. He was speaking to a co-worker and dropped the f-bomb in his casual language. He saw me standing there and he just kept on with conversation. As I was checking out, I let the cashier know what had happened. She just laughed. Needless to say I will not be shopping at Hy-Vee in the future.

I used to love this store now I cant seem to find the items I was able to before. Quality of produce used to be amazing, now not so much. Bought 48.00 worth of cod the other night. Cooked it and it smelled horrible of ammonia. Bad fish! I think Ill be shopping elsewhere.

This store is interesting. Great seafood and liquor dept. The Pizza & Calzones are delicious!! Great selection of frozen perogi. That may seem strange but if your Polish in Dekalb you would understand. Haha!

This is literally the most amazing, wonderful, magical grocery store I have ever been to. There grocery pickup is amazing. Customer service is amazing. Selection? Amazing. Walmart aint got nothing on them.

The service in the Hy-Vee pharmacy is terrible and the behavior of the manager and her assistant is even worse, these two women do not have the slightest respect for customers. From the first day I started using that pharmacy, the two managers were haughty, arrogant and hysterical. They do not have the minimum of education on how to serve their customers. I went there to pick up new medicines 3 times. I was never directly who ordered the medicines because none was a refill. Every time I went to Hy-Vee pharmacy for my medications that had been ordered directly by my doctors office, it was the same bad treatment towards me and my wife for both of them, they both got hysterical because I used the Goorx gold card! which I pay with a monthly membership to be able to have a better price and this bothered them, because each visit was a bad experience, but this last time it was the worst because the assistant Krystal without any justification began to yell at us in front of the Other workers who observed that we only wanted to solve the error that they did not update in their system because every time we wanted to clarify to them that we had a goodrx gold card and not the regular goodrx card, they yelled at us and charged us more expensive than what the card said, arguing that they did not like those cards because the price changed from one second to another. They never showed the minimum of attention to what we wanted to explain to them from the first time we went to that Pharmacy because at the end of each visit they returned money because the card we have is the goodrxgold and indeed we were right and They never apologized for their mistake, it was always our fault, according to them, for not letting them know that we have the gold card and how you explain to someone who is yelling at you and they do not listen to reason. They do not know what customer service is, they have always acted arrogantly and are careless in their work, which is no longer my problem because I have already collected the 3 medications that caused this last bad experience with the pharmacy manager and her assistant Krystal and I continue to receive reminder messages that I have three items to collect. I have already asked my doctor to authorize all the medications for the heart, stroke, blood pressure and epilepsy that I need at the Mejer pharmacy. Thank God they are not the only pharmacy that accepts cards to help people like me who depend on medicine to live. That a person has a university degree does not guarantee that they have the education and attitude to work helping and serving clients!

This supermarket has a great selection of lunchtime meals. Chinese, pizza, sushi, fried chicken; you could literally eat a different lunch every day of the week just by going to this one location.

The pizza buffet and Chinese use to be good. But this time was awful. Everything was dried up. The cashier had no idea what she was doing. Never again!!

Not what they used to be.Their hot food/deli really needs to upgrade The quality And freshness of their hot food. The rest is typical and lacking on sales imagination and sale product tye ins.

Always a great place to shop. They have all your needs and have specialty items from local vendors. Love that they support our local bakers, produce vendors, and craft beer vendors. Always a helping hand if you cant find something.

This is the first time Ive ever been to the Hy-Vee grocery store in Sycamore. It is a real interesting combination of places where you can sit down and get a bite to eat and tremendous delis Bakery Goods meet and all the regular grocery items. I got an order of sesame chicken and a sub sandwich type of food. It was very good both of them as good as what you would get at a restaurant. I got some deli meats that were a big hit today for my daughter and grandkids coming by to have something to eat. Prices are very competitive with the average grocery stores which dont these Quality Meats Deli items and someplace to sit down and eat. You get a order form from the different departments then you go to the cash register and then pay. I think the prices are very good and I would encourage everybody try it because Im impressed

Great people with a great selection. My wife is Celiac and Dairy Free. This is easily the best grocery store for allergy shopping.

Do not shop here after 10 pm if you want to avoid people not wearing masks. Several employees had no mask at all, and most had their mask under their nose, including the cashier. I stopped after work to grab a few things and was very frustrated by this, because during the day this is the only store around where you could count on masks being worn, and properly. IF YOU ARE OPEN, MAKE YOUR EMPLOYEES WEAR MASKS PROPERLY SO YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE SAFE.

This was my first time at a Hy-vee and I went in specifically because I had been told the bakery was really good (donuts, in particular). The donuts were quite good. However, social distancing in this store was not occurring and several employees were wearing masks improperly.

This store is quite nice. If you need anything, the employees are very helpful. The place is decently clean. If you buy what’s on sale, you get a decent price. Things that are not on sale tend to be a bit expensive, but it’s worth the positive shopping experience.

The store is clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The prices are generally fair to slightly above average in general, but its easy to save a lot if you watch for deals. Their fuel saver program has saved me lots of money in gas as well.

Such a great variety at any of the Hy-Vee locations. As an Iowa transplant, I always enjoy shopping at a store that reminds me of home. Its a must stop trip whenever I travel back to the suburbs from visiting home.

People are nice and helpful if you need anything.

Im from MN and needed a Hy-Vee fix. Its a great store with just about anything you need. It has a large selection of fresh deli foods, large meat department, and produce. They stock a better selection of just about everything than Jewell Osco.

Fabulous store I wish there was one nearby where I live. They have a fabulous prepared food section with several different sections like Italian, sushi, traditional, etc. There is even a small section with tables and chairs so you can eat in the store. The cheese section is outstanding, so is the meat department. There is sections for floral, healthy snacks, prepackaged prepared food we got and found to be very good. Fruits and vegetables had a great selection with very good pricing. The first time Id been in a hy-vee was a year ago on a trip and it impressed me and this one was just like the first one very impressive

I dont think their produce is that good but they have a natural/gluten free section that I really like

Hy-vee has a very broad selection of specialty goods that the surrounding stores do not have. I like to go there for specific thing that i cant get elsewhere particularly cheeses and items in their ethnic selection. They have a very large organic goods selection that includes fresh ground fair trade coffee, and loose leaf teas. They also have a kombucha bar and a large selection of craft sodas. The bakery has a diverse selection of treats, and the salad bar is robust. The store has its own restaurant inside where you can sit down to eat as well as chinese and italian take away at the deli. The meat selection is of superb quality and they have an excellent choice of seafood and feature live lobsters. The price is competitive and its a nice change of pace from the ususl.

Honestly I had never been into one to shop around in.. normally my Wife and I will go to Aldi for most of not all our groceries but I have to say Hy-Vee has a lot of different options to choose from. This location also has a caribou coffee inside which is always good.

This is a great store, especially if you are looking for health foods. The staff are friendly, but due to COVID there are not as many people working there. At one time, the store felt more lively, but it seems to be a bit sadder and emptier. Sign of the times I suppose.

Hyvee is always nice and clean and they have great produce most of the time. We bought some Halos tangerines there and they were quite mushy so we arent too happy about that. Theyre more expensive than other grocery stores (hence $4 for the Halos that are mushy, and thats on a sale with $4 off! Yikes), but when they do have sales, theyre normally good sales! Id give 3 &1/2 stars if I could.

As a recent city kid transplant, this is new to me. And I cannot believe there arent more. Great variety of products, excellent prices, tons of awesome goodies you wont find at your other big box stores. Staff is courteous and friendly. My new go-to.

Love the store always kept nice and great selections. Lines are ideally kept as short as possible and self checkout available. Daytime customer service desk always awesome, evening customer service needs help, they will literally stand there and talk at registers as your standing there waiting. Other than that great store with great selections.

Lots of bare shelves and many products missing. Im sure it is due to the shipping shortage. Lots of help in the aisles. Dont like anything ive tried from there store brand.

I go to the pick up line for doordash and its very fast and easy when they bring you your stuff but sometimes customer service can be a little bit rude sometimes

Like shopping at hy-vee they have somethings other places dont have. They usually have pretty good deals.

I used their curbside pickup service. Having never done this type of thing at any other store, I parked and went inside to ask a Hy-Vee employee where I need to pull up since I could not find the area the location of the curbside pickup. The Hy-Vee employee very courteously explained where I need to park and what number I need to call for them to bring out my groceries. I followed the employees instructions and pulled into the curbside pickup location parking spots. Each spot was numbered and there were two other cars waiting at different numbers. I parked in spot 2 and the sign in front of me had a number for me to call. I called that number and spoke with somebody to tell them whose order Im picking up and what number Im parked at. About 4 to 5 minutes after the call, my groceries were loaded for me in my trunk. I never had to leave my car. Great Customer Service!

I ordered for my mom. I live in Phoenix. And i ordered for my mom. It was so easy to do that from hear. All i can say is thank Hy-Vee for offering delivery. My mom got her order. And she is so HAPPY!! and so as her daughter thats far away can help her 10 stars all the way!!!

The people are nice and helpful. The Shop Hy-Vee staff are always eager to help out if anything goes wrong. All-in-all I definitely recommend Hy-Vee for groceries and service.

I found out that Hy-Vee has the best own brand products in the DeKalb, Illinois area. Produce is really fresh on Mondays late afternoon. Great selection of Organic produce and products. Nice variety of gluten free frozen food and breads. Associates are very helpful and walk you to the item that you are looking for with a smile.The best is when you buy gas saver items, you will not believe the savings on gas. This week I paid $6 (six dollars) for my 16 gallon of premium gas. Sign up, and enjoy this program and the regular week sale promotions.

Good produce. They have pretty much everything here and the store is always very clean. The employees are great as well. This store is a bit father than others but I choose to go here instead of other ones.

Love Hyvee,but gotta give 3 stars only my boyfriend and I had steak dinner today ate inside. NO Steak Knifes! How do you cut a steak with a butter knife seriously. Didnt even ask how we wanted our steak done. The steak had more season for my liking.
