A hidden gem. Have driven by here many times, stopped for the first time today. Got the sampler for 22 bucks. Its a lot of food. The pork chop was excellent, ribs are good. Sides and salads are legit. A couple picnic tables outside for dining. Prices are reasonable and staff are courteous and kind. Highly recommend

Been shopping there for about ten years finest quality in everything and service is great there sausages are the best especially the pepper jack brats cant get enough I wont buy my meat anywhere but there.

This place has the best BBQ and customer service. We drove past once and now it’s our favorite spot. We drive about an hour and it’s well worth it! The BBQ and variety of sides never disappoint. The people working are always super sweet and answer all your questions they truly look to be enjoying what they are doing! The facility is very clean and well taken care of. We recommend this place to everyone if they are looking for good BBQ!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I ordered from them at Ribfest, and the lady taking and making my order did nothing about complain about me the ENTIRE TIME she was making my order. I made sure I could get gluten free food, and the lady asked if she needed to put on new gloves. I thought that was so nice she offered so I said yes. Then came the loud complaining and I could hear every word she said about me. Highly unprofessional and RUDE.

Great selection and quality of made to order food, and the deli cases are stocked with lots of delicious items. The younger girl working behind the counter was super friendly! Definitely recommend stopping in!

Listen, when my husband and I walked in we were greeted kindly by everyone there including the butcher that came around the counter to show us around. The entire experience was AMAZING! I seriously appreciate the level of kindness from the women that prepare the salads, desserts, and bread. They seem so happy to see us! We WILL be back, I just wish we discovered the gem sooner. I ordered the rib tips and OMG it was FANTASTIC although the second order of tips were a little too salty. My husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger and it tasted fresh from the grill! I swear it’s thee best bbq I’ve had in a very long time (with the exception of the second order of tips). I’ve had bbq from other restaurants in Dekalb (yuck)!The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious overall and customer service was outstanding. Thank you again! Oh and the orange creme pop was a hit as recommended 😃.

The food is consistently well prepared and flavorful, staff members hands out awesome customer service. I love how clean it is and ambience. Worth a try.

This is a must stop every time Im in town to stock up on homemade breakfast sausages, brats and pork patties. ( I buy them frozen.) They also have a full selection meat case with nice looking cuts. Besides being a great meat market, they also have homemade side salads and desserts. And besides ALL that, its a great take out resturant for smoked meats, pulled meats, beef tips and soups. Efficiently staffed, orders a filled promptly. You can order ahead as well.

Today was rib tips (x2), pasta & steakhouse potato salad. NEVER disappoints! EVER!!

First let me say the quality of meats is excellent. Well worth the extra cost. Love the convenience of a neighborhood butcher shop too. But what bothered me the other morning when I stopped for meat was that not everyone was wearing a mask which is required by law. I was wearing a mask and so was the other customer but those assisting us were not. we are protecting them and I expect to be protected by them as well and that starts with wearing a mask especially when checking out at the cash register!! when you’re only 3 feet away from another person without a mask I am vulnerable and putting myself at risk of picking up this virus. I am also in a high risk category. How about all workers doing the right thing in protecting everyone and start wearing a mask for your customers sake as well??!!! No one is immune from this virus. Thank you.

Great place to stop for lunch. You cant go wrong with the porkchop sandwich everything on it, plus a huge selection of sauces. They cook most the menu on charcoal. Good selection of salads. Decent selection of meats. Outside dining. Corn bread with and without jalapeno.

This place has a sign on the front door defying the governers covid orders. The sign says anyone can come in without a mask and they wont say anything. They are in Region 1, Region 1 has RISING COVID RATES. If they cant follow that simple rule, what other health violations do you think they will do? NOT SAFE TO EAT HERE

Always a hit when stopping here to pick up the best home made food in the area. Tasty meat with a variety of delicious side dishes, including great desserts. Chocolate pie is excellent! Does a great catering business including taking care of your Thanksgiving Turkey if you need a break from cooking. Butcher shop has plenty to choose for the summer grill.

I had a butterfly pork chop sandwich, homemade bbq, lettuce, onion and tomato.. on a huge bun. It was suggested! Mmmmmm and a homemade sour cream and cuke salad! Mmm

The Butcher Shop that cooks The steak sandwich was so good, I picked up a couple of different cuts and some burgers to grill this weekend.The smell walking up to the door was OUTSTANDING!Super helpful staff! Reserving the fifth star only because I havent cooked the steaks I bought.

Stop by to get my usual pork chop sandwich ordered the new mac & cheese was told to get the bowl rather than the cup. I am now regretting they didn’t have a quart size. This is the best mac & cheese I’ve ever had and can never go wrong with any of the sandwiches or meats purchased here

I was so looking forward to eating here after reading the reviews and unfortunately I was very disappointed. We got there as soon as it opened for dinner and I wanted the meat sampler and was told they didn’t have chicken. So I ordered the combo of 1/3 ribs and a pork chop. The pork chop had good flavor but the ribs were chewy and had a funny taste and I couldn’t eat them. The side macaroni salad was bland and tasteless. The beans weren’t bad but use could more brown sugar. I did not get the roll that was suppose to come with the dinner but I did get the butter for it (rolling eyes) My husband had the ribeye sandwich and he said it was cooked right (medium rare) but could have used some flavor. And last of all was the steakhouse potato salad. This was AMAZING! If I ever go back (but not likely) I would get several containers of the potato salad.

I really enjoy the hamburgers and pork chop sandwiches, but their brisket is terrible. I tried it for the second time today and it was really bad. They seem to soak it in water after its been cooked, as it was dripping and the bun was very soggy. There was far more fat than lean meat. Definitely not worth another try.

They stated on social media that they only require masks because they have to but they would refuse if they could. They clearly DO NOT care about the safety and wellbeing of their customers. Imagine what other safety measurees they may be avoiding. Avoid at all costs.

Never stopped in. Wish I did before now. Was a huge selection of things cooked on the grill. Tried the brat burger which was awesome. Many deli choices to pick from too. Will come back soon to try more items. A little butcher shop is located here too. Very impressed. Reasonably priced also.

You get alot for your money. The burgers are huge and yummy and the riblet dinner is amazing. They give you so much.. I had leftovers. Everything is so good there 😊

Tom catered my husbands 50th birthday party at the DeKalb Elks club this past Saturday. The Country Store ROCKS! The food was excellent! Everything was as delicious as everything else. The guests all raved about the food - especially the rib tips and the meatballs. So good. Tom and his staff are very professional as well. We will be using The Country Store again.

Tom runs a great butcher shop with a retro/classic feel. They serve hot sandwiches for lunch which is amazing because the meat is high quality. The Philly cheesesteak brauts are maybe the best tasting thing I’ve ever experienced! Highly recommend 👍👍

Stopped in yesterday to pick up some burgers for grilling at home. Saw Brisket Burgers next to the ground chuck, so thought Id add a few of those and give them a taste. YUMMMMMMM!

This place is an absolute gem. If I could bottle the scent as you walk in the door and use it as cologne, I would.You walk in the door and the smell, that oh so wonderful smell, gets sweeter and more aromatic. It has all the kitsch and allure of a traditional que shack: the old Pepsi signs, specials written in chalk, and the old concession stand lit-up Pepsi sign that they modified to display their dinner choices. Its small and cosy, and to the right when you walk in, is the butcher shop. Its amazing and the prices and quality are out of this world good.You can get your craft soda fix here, too. I had the cheeseburger with bacon and it was DIVINE. I had a side of baked beans and wow, what a throwback, with grilled pieces of hot dog and onion slivers in it! Beenies and Weenies, just as I grew up with!!Staff are what you would expect from a side que shack - nice but busy.Absolutely amazing experience.
