Mindy and her team were with us every step of the way in our bathroom remodel. Mindy listened to what we wanted and didnt want and helped us choose materials and colors. Questions were always answered in a very timely manner and the job was completed in a very timely manner - especially during a pandemic! The team that did the actual remodel was knowledgeable, efficient and meticulous in the work they did for us. I would highly recommend Floor to Ceiling!

We have had two great experiences with Floor to Ceiling! In March, we purchased rugs for our hard wood floors and Luminette blinds. Additionally, we had most of our entire home painted before we moved in. We had such a good design experience with Katie Fierros that we had her help in remodeling our main bathroom and selecting new carpet for our bedroom. We absolutely love the end results of everything! Additionally each and every professional involved in the construction, electrical, tile and plumbing were more than helpful, knowledgeable and kind. I love Floor to Ceiling!! They were amazing from start to finish. This spring we had Floor to Ceiling install wood floors on the main level of our house, finish a big section of our basement, totally gutted and remodeled our kitchen including adding a new window. I walked into their store and didn’t know where to start. I sat down and talked to Jim about what we wanted to do. The first thing he did was tell me I needed to talk with Mindy. Mindy is an awesome person to work with. She is patient and just has an overall great personality. No one on the team ever showed impatience with all my changes and it was completed right on schedule. I thought I knew what I wanted but Mindy was able to guide me to what I really wanted. Our kitchen is absolutely amazing, the basement is so warm and feels like a living space instead of a basement, the wood floors are beautiful. We just walk through our house and can’t believe it is our house. We have some small projects in the future and we wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. Thank you to the whole crew!!

I am enormously pleased with everyone at Floor to Ceiling. This is my second time to use this business and with great results. In 1997 my home was gutted by fire and they were part of the restoration team. They did great work then, and this is why I returned to them for a renovation of my kitchen. I highly reccommend using this company and team of experts. They delivered exactly what they promised (for the second time)! Mindys advice and reassuring tone made all the difference to me. (I have plans to update my two bathrooms and carpet--and will be returning to this company. ) Every single trademan on their team who came into my home was pleasant and most importantly knowledgeable about their aspect of the job. They answered my questions, arrived as scheduled by Mindy, worked hard and took PRIDE in their aspect of the job. As a result, I have a beautiful and fashionable new kitchen. For the second time, Floor to Ceiling covered me--worked their miracle from floor to ceiling. To sum it up, I can readily give them a five-star rating because they EARNED every star.9-13-2020--Again I have been very pleased with the craftsmen utilized by Floor to Ceiling. It was a small job but of HUGE importance to me. It started with a beautiful paint job on my 1 1/2 story stairwell. The painters were extremely careful with my home, cheerful and hardworking. I love looking up because it is so pretty!!! This was followed by master carpenter Lonnie who designed and built beautiful wainscoting along the stairs. I painted it a brilliant white. Finally, Mindy--took a lot of time to figure out the most appropriate carpet and pad for my stairs. Some may say--Its only a basement. But, it is MY brand, new-looking basement staircase. It makes me happy every day when I go up and down it. Huge thanks to the whole staff--but especially Lonnie for his knowledge and the beautiful results. Floor to Ceiling was very helpful when other contractors were blowing us off because our initial project wasnt big enough. This is why we did our kitchen remodel with them as well. Their subs were easy to work with and very accommodating and Mindy was very patient with us when making choices, something we struggle with as there are so many options there. They are a very honest company and came back to fix any small issues we had like a squeaky lazy susan. We look forward to doing more projects with them though it may be a while since there are only 2 rooms left.

Excellent design suggestions and project coordination from Mindy.Project progress was continuous and on time.I cannot really judge the quality of work because that is not my area of expertise but I can comment that the appearance is of good professional work and all the widgets work.My interaction with the renovators, though minimal, was very pleasant.I would do business again with Floor to Ceiling and recommend this business to others.

I enjoyed working with all of the designers and installers at Floor to Ceiling. The process was quick and organized. I was happy that I only had to pick out what I wanted for my kitchen and left the rest up to them. I didnt have to worry about organizing plumber, electrician, and contractor. My designer Mindy was always available to talk to. I changed my mind alot, because what I thought I always wanted for a new kitchen I didnt. So happy I went with my gut and I love my new kitchen. So glad I didnt listen to probably 80% of people who said to just paint the cabinets. I feel like Im living in a new home every time I go to cook in my new kitchen. Very happy.

This is the third bathroom that Floor to Ceiling has done for us over the years. We have always been very satisfied with the people that have done an excellent job of making our dreams become reality.

What a fantastic experience. Liz and the rest of the team were great. She coordinated every aspect of the project and the scheduling of the painters, plumber, carpet installer, and even the guy that installed the handles on the cabinets. Everyone showed up exactly on time. Liz took the time to listen to what we wanted the final outcome to be. The paint color selection she picked was perfect. Its amazing what the right color can do to enhance/change the mood of a room. She also came to the house and inspected all of the work done to ensure it was to our satisfaction. I would absolutely recommend them to friends and family.

The wife and I have been in to the store a handful of times to look for ideas for tiling and carpet. Chris and the rest of the staff there were patient and very helpful in every way possible. We ended up ordering carpet and the process was seamless. The installer was friendly and professional. They were on time with everything they promised. When we decide to carpet the rest of the house we will be going back!

Floor to Ceiling did our LVT flooring throughout our new home and it’s beautiful! Also helped a ton with choosing all of our bathroom and kitchen tile!

We needed some work done on our new home and since we havent had to do much remodeling before we had no idea where to start. The staff at Floor to Ceiling has been so helpful throughout the entire process. I had no idea that they can help with painting and flooring and also work to finish entire basements! I was happy to find out that they even travel all the way to South Elgin. I definitely recommend Floor to Ceiling in Sycamore for all of your home improvement needs!

We wanted to do a new floor for our kitchen so we visited Floor to Ceiling and also Lowes to look at tile. At Floor to Ceiling we were greeted warmly by Jim who was patient in explaining the various options we had and also pointing out differences in tiles. At Lowes we were directed to an isle where the tiles were but that was it. No sales associate offered to help or answer questions. So we went back to Floor to Ceiling and Jim gave us some sample tiles to take home so we could check color associations. We settled on a design we liked and returned to set up the installation. Within two weeks we had our new floor and I must say it looks outstanding. Expert installation in a day and a half. We had bamboo put down in three rooms years ago and that job was also done by Floor to Ceiling. That was also an expert installation. All in all, we are extremely satisfied with the staff, materials, and installations done by Floor to Ceiling.

We purchased our hardwood and tile flooring here for our new house in September. While delivering and installing the products, they put marks on our newly painted walls and ceilings and didnt install the flooring all the way to the walls to be covered by my boards. Now weve had to buy thicker boards to cover the gaps. Its now almost May, Ive contacted them several times with minimal results. Their products are beautiful. Their services not so good7-27-18. The owner reached out to me and corrected many of the issues we had dealing with them. Thank you

Bathroom remodel:We looked to Floor to Ceiling to remodel our bathroom after they had done a great job in installing a new countertop and backsplash for our update of our kitchen.Our initial consultations were focused on the new layout of our bathroom including replacement of a hot tub. The consultation included a careful listen to what we wanted and did not want in the new bathroom. Based on that, a design was created and reviewed. Consultation with the designer showed that we could make better use of the space by shifting the walk in tub location and create a more open and warmer bathroom.With the design we worked with Floor to Ceiling to select al the materials for the new bathroom. This was done by helping us pick out what we wanted and coordinating design. It was a very clean and straightforward process.We received a constriction schedule that was followed almost to the letter, so we could plan our days and know when various sub-contractors would be there. All the sub-contractors were professional and took care to minimize the impact on the rest of the house during the tear out and rebuilding of the bathroom. We were kept fully informed on progress, and were consulted for positioning of the tub, sinks and cabinets. As construction proceeded, follow-up was quick, clean and professional.We are delighted with our new bathroom that includes heated floors, a heated towel rack, and a no threshold shower, and a walk in tub. The design added considerable storage space that has been very useful and convenient to a bathroom that previously had only under counter storage. This was as great major upgrade to our master bathroom.

Check your material tho. I got tiles with surface micro-bubbles that the grout got stuck in, and now it looks permanently dirty. No discount even, because I already installed it. I really like the owner tho so I guess its still a 5.

We ordered our flooring from Floor to Ceiling in May, based on recommendation from restoration company that came out for flood...We picked out flooring and they were having trouble finding the matching baseboards and quarter round... My husband did some research and told them where to get those items. They the professionals should have done the research. Instead we had too.The floors were to be delivered on June 2nd, with a delivery confirmation on the 1st. On June 2nd I had to call them for a delivery time. I was first told that our installation wasnt scheduled till June 7th. I said I was fully aware of that, however they are to be delivered 3-4 days ahead of time to acculmate to our house. He than told me oh yeah they are here in the warehouse. I asked can you give me a delivery time? He told me hell check into it and call me back with a time. He called me at 3:00 (while I was working) to tell me the delivery guy would be there in 15-20 minutes. Nothing like giving you a fair notice. Installation to start June 7. Installers helper has jury duty all week and it was basically a 1 man show. So what was suppose to be a 3 day job, turned in approx. 6 + odd days and times to finish. The Installer goes out of town for 2 weeks. So we wait...Now comes the issue of the toe kick for around kitchen cabinets. After several attempts to match, the salesman actually comes with installer to tell me they cant match it, its been over 2 months, theyve done everything theyve could to match toe kick. He asks me what we want to do, A. Do it ourselves and leave it or B. Do we have any suggestions. I told him Ill talk to my husband and figure something out. After talking to people in construction business, they referred me to company right there in the same town of Sycamore, Il, who not only perfectly matched, but were very helpful and prompt with communicating with us. (Oh By the way we paid up front for toe kick) In the meantime we get an invoice from Floor to ceiling telling us we are 30-60 days behind. Its now August 3rd, and the installer is back to actually finish the job..The discount for our inconvenience is $100..minus the toe kick($40) in which we paid! So they discounted $60 for a 2 month inconvenience of unfinished flooring!... .I would NEVER recommend Floor to Ceiling even to my worst enemy! Their customer service is horrible, I believe they are way overpriced and their lack of customer satisfaction is atrocious...it basically came down to the left hand didnt know what the right hand was doing..Do NOT EVER go to Floor to Ceiling in Sycamore, il#floortoceilingsycamore
