The guys-three of them-came on-time and meticulously prepared and loaded our stuff carefully. They were courteous and completed the work perfectly.
Fort Dearborn Relocation is under the Blackhawk Moving/ Mayflower umbrella. I recently used them to move from Chicago to Las Vegas and I initially went with them as I read many many reviews on all the companies I researched to just pay the extra money and go with Mayflower well I did and was 100% unsatisfied as 70% of my moving boxes were completely crushed, broken, damaged resulting in over $500 worth of damage. My Las Vegas location was not my final destination so my boxes were going to just be in storage for a few months but instead of an easy unload in Vegas I had to spend hours to unpack all boxes, check for damage on my items and then repack into new boxes. The lack of timely communication from the company was a huge inconvenience on their procedure along with overall satisfaction on my end of how they uhandled the final outcome of this matter. I had wasted so much energy and time going back and forth dealing with the result of their carelessness on my personal items.I could have gone with a different company that quoted $1600 to move across country and probably would have been better than the result of Mayflower as it seemed they threw my boxes across country.Unfortunately spending money for a well known name company didn’t work in my favor this time.
Great company. They did a great job at assessing the move. the move itself was right on time and great communication along the way. I have moved many times in my life but this was the easiest yet the furthest move I have made. Ft Dearborn took the hassle of the move away. Thanks
I requested there services to help me move from Chicago to Casper, WY. I went with Mayflower and they use Ft. Dearborn. Mayflower somehow seems to have good reviews mostly but my mistake being i didnt look up Ft. Dearborn.Moving is never easy and with me starting a new job in WY where i have to be at work almost 13 hours a day it wasnt easy at all. I planned my whole work / personal life around the delivery window of two weeks that was given me. I lived in an almost empty apartment and making do with things hoping my stuff with arrive any day. My move coordinator Debra C. did a poor at communication. I never received any updates and i was the one constantly reaching out to find where the things are at. Today i emailed D.C. and i was told that my stuff MIGHT BE loaded on a truck on the last day of my delivery window. They have no regard for their customers and do whatever they want. They do NOT care if you are without your home for almost a month as long as they collect their massive bills and are happy. As the review mentions 2.5 weeks in, i am still without my stuff. I have been told that my last day on my DELIVERY window is when the stuff MIGHT BE LOADED.If i could give 5 thumbs down to them i would. THE WORST moving experience for me. I would recommend stay away from this company.
Helpful sales and office staff. Movers were efficient and friendly. Everything went according to schedule. I would recommend Mayflower.
I have worked with Ft Dearborn for years now and they are a great company. Anyone looking for a movers should give them a call.
Its a warehouse. Trucking accommodations is a must with comfortable bedding and shower. A truckers dream.
