Amazing place for hydroponics and brewing supplies. Very impressive stock of items. Huge variety of fresh and bagged brewing grains. Ive been thinking of getting into home brewing and hydroponic gardening, and decided to check this place out. I want expecting much, but WOW!!!! THIS STORE REALLY HAS IT ALL. Its website doesnt do it justice. ANY THE PRICES SEEMED QUITE REASONABLE. I say reasonable because Im not familiar with the cost of brewing and hydroponic supplies, but I didnt get sticker shock when looking at the prices. Theres even some cheese making and sausage making supplies.

My first time in there today. I was impressed. Dave, I think his name is, is extremely knowledgeable and took his time to explain many things and helped me get what I needed.I’ll sure be back and they made a customer for life today.The prices are great also. Cheaper then Amazon by a lot on soil!!

Prices are doubled that what is on Amazon. Plus everyone I have go there to ask questions have been the rudest people Ive came across, as if I owe them something or just stuck up. Very rude unknowable and a complete rip off for their prices.

Chris is a great help! Their website may be different from what is in their store and some items can be a little pricey but overall an asset to our community especially for specialty farmers.

I like this place. All the people who work there have experience either brewing something or growing something. The selection is pretty large. I only go there for brewing supplies and they usually have what I need. The staff are helpful and they give a 10% discount if you are a member of the local brewing club (the Salt City Brew Club)

I’m only writing this review because I noticed a few other reviews saying that they had gotten unpleasant service, but every time I deal with Sunset, the staff is more than willing to help me, whether it’s over the phone or in person. I refer all my friends to this store, and would recommend all others to check it out as well.

Despite the fact that its an hour drive for me, Ive gone here for my malts and hops for a year now. Went this morning at 11AM but the doors were locked and the lights were off (sign says opens at 10AM on Saturdays). Had some other errands to run so I came back at noon and they were still closed.Wasted gas. Wasted time. They wont be receiving my business any more. And people wonder why small businesses fail so often here...

I was disappointed as well. I wanted a very specific type of hops, and called ahead to make sure they had it before I wasted the 50+ minute drive to their store. They said yes. I asked if they were SURE. They said yes. Got there? Guess what... it was only then that they even bothered to look. Wasted nearly two hours. The people were apologetic and knowledgable, and its always fun to look at stuff on shelves. Your mileage may vary, but is this a well run place? Heck no. Very disorganized. Clear theyre making it up as they go along.

So far its been great. Knowledgeable staff & clean store. Most of the products they carry are cheaper than buying online & generally cheaper than their competitors.

Stopped in today and would have to agree with many of the other postings. The homebrewing selection was nice with decent prices. The single clerk on duty admitted that she knew nothing about homebrewing when I asked a question about their yeast selections. If you know what you are looking for this store is just fine. If you will need assistance dont be disappointed with the lack of service.

Stopped in to purchase ingredients for pliney clone. Asked to use the restroom. Staff rude no public bathrooms funny, my daughter used a bathroom there. Ended up buying ingredients on-line. I have spent a TON of money at your store. No more though.not impressed.

Meh. Went in for brewing supplies. They were out of several essentials, and the staff seemed less than excited to answer questions or help in any way (we were the only ones in the store). Ill probably look elsewhere.

Went in to buy stuff to make a RIS and Session IPA. The guy at the register knew his stuff and helped us out and we had a good conversation. Great shop for your Homebrew needs!

Saw on there website a product for about $11, I live about 2 miles away. When I got to store it was about $19. I was told they will match the price on the website plus shipping and handling about $6 or spend over $50 and they would not charge shipping. I would rather drive to another shop.

Went in for home brewing supplies. Staff didnt acknowledge my existence in the store until I showed up at the counter with $200 worth of supplies. The 2 guys in the store were not knowledgeable at all. Felt like I was waisting their time. While the selection was great, the service was disappointing. They are not the only option in town, Ill be looking elsewhere.

This shop is often closed during advertised open hours. I am tired of waiting outside when they should already be open. Going thru google questions i noticed people saying they closed early on sone days aswell
