Consistently excellent service from store manager, Mira, and quality products.We just bought an inflatable dinghy at this location (Fife/Tacoma). Using the online WM app, I couldnt find one in stock at a local store. I called Mira and she had it in her store, ready for pick up, the next day!Now we have a little roll-up dinghy that will fit on the foredeck of our new-to-us little boat.☺⛵

The place is well organized and clean. The staff are friendly. Also, this is probably the only place youll find gloves that fit young or small adults. Great prices.

Fife West Marina is the best stocked store in WA with the friendliest staff! Mira and crew are always eager to help, this is my go to store in Pierce county.

Bought supplys for rewiring a jet boat the guys were vary helpful and knowledgeable on what types of wire codes and everything I needed.

These folks hooked me up with a much needed part when I was in a tight spot and got the price just right.

They didnt offer to order parts willingly as a solution when my husband called & they didnt have something in stock. My husband had to make the obvious suggestion. Upon entering the store..they are mask nazis.

Over the years I have had mixed feelings feelings about West Marine but recently theyve made changes in the positive direction. Their stocking has improved with a greater density of items in the store. Yes, they are a bit pricey, but they are a marine specialty store. If you really need a select widget for your boat (or RV) theres good chance they may have it. This review applies to their Tacoma, WA location.

Great staff, always helpful, asking and making sure Customer found the right product for they needs. Sometimes I have a question that my mechanic can’t answer but if you ask Diane she is there for you and will help you out. I shop here for many years and the Customer serves definitely much better and shelves are full. Mira always paying attention make sure every customer assisted in the store. The employees always busy working around the store and always greeting the Customers which you don’t see often in any others stores lately.Pricing little high compared to online but I am a business owner myself and know how hard to compete online.Overall I shop for my boating needs mostly in WM in Fife and staff is great!

Knowledgeable friendly staff eager to help if you have any questions. I needed some buffing compound for our RV and he showed me the stuff we needed after answering a couple questions as he wanted to make sure we were going to use the correct stuff.

The sales associate lady was very friendly and willing to help out immediately when she noticed we were looking lost. She also seemed very knowledgeable about multiple items we picked up.I came in with my hubby who was taking a sailing course that weekend and needed some last minute gear.After a few minutes in the store he found everything that he needed and the lady even offered him a military discount when she learned he is serving our country.Prices are definitely higher than what you might find elsewhere or online, but we needed to make one stop shopping trip and this West Marine location was what we needed.

They have boat stuff and water toys!

I had a time critical need for an uncommon electrical part on the weekend. I looked online for the part but needed that day. As a long shot I called my WM store in Fife, WA and they had one in stock. I installed the part and restored shore power to my boat so the charger would keep the batteries up for the bilge pumps. It rains a little here in the Seattle area and I feel better knowing the bilge will be pumped out.

We went to West Marine for a marine-grade mold/mildew to clean vinyl parts of a hot tub. Gary showed us right where to look, and helped us quickly find exactly what we needed!The product worked better than we expected, so I had to call Gary and thank him.

While Marine stores are becoming more rare, retail prices here can be quite unbelievable. Rope is priced to the moon, and a nice life vest is DOUBLE that of online. Sale prices at 40% are what normal prices should be. Use discretion on your items, and shop price. Some sale items are reasonable, but some are not. 3 Stars should indicate to watch yourself.

They would probably get more business if they priced their stuff to sell. But, they do have top quality stuff. If you order cheaper hardware elsewhere it may not hold up as well. A few sale items were priced better than Amazon, so if you need something that is on sale anyway you might be in luck.

These were some of the most helpful, friendly retail associates I have encountered in a long time. They were available to recommend products and help you find exactly what you need. Very friendly and no pressure, left me to my own thoughts to make my decision. Highly recommend this to new and experienced boaters.

I have been shopping here for parts and other marine supplies for many years. I have ordered items through them and they always came in a timely fashion. The staff has always been very helpful when I needed help. MY only complaint is they recently re arranged everything in the store (why?) and now I have t ask where things are.

As far as supplies for boating are concerned, its fairly run of the mill. Theyve got a somewhat decent selection, although their prices make you feel as tho youre buying another brand new boat. Your Wallet will lose some weight shopping here. So when it comes to the staff, I think I would rather run backwards naked thru a cornfield than to deal these people again. Rude, pushy, angry, argumentative and downright WEIRD are a few adjectives that come to mind . The wo(man) working there thats 6 ft 8 in tall with a beard, Adams apple, and looks like s(he)could bench press 575 lbs, literally followed me around the store the whole time and when I said something I was verbally attacked and insulted by the other staff member. I understand people have bad days, but you dont treat a customer that way. Lucky to get 2 stars from this guy

Good source for epoxy resin supplies and advice. WATCH THE PRiCES. Many items are very much overpriced. You can get almost anything for a boat. Just be a judicious shopper.

We just stopped in with a long list of items needed for our sailboat. The courteous staff allowed us time to decide on color and line size. Having decided, it was easy to locate a helpful sales person. Our many lines were measured, cut, and sealed right there on the spot. We next inquired about shackles and were directed to a decently stocked section of sailboat shackles, blocks, stays, etc. Upon checking out there were two registers and both were staffed. From our perspective, it was a positive buyers experience and we would not hesitate to return when the need arises.

Called ahead to verify Garmin gpsmap 742xs was in stock. Yes, we have 2 .I show up, they dont have it and Daniel (i think thats his name. Short cut, orange hair) is VERY rude after he told me it was in stock over the phone.Store manage(?) Mira is helpful. Says she wrote up the dude who was rude.I had 1300 in my back pocket for sonar/gps combo. Left with nothing and never going back to West Marine.Save yourself the drive and order online. Better prices, no traffic, no dickheads.

I needed to replace my battery cables and these guys had what I needed. Plus a whole lot more. The looks of this place is deceiving as the smount of stuff inside is much. They have a bit of it all. I will be headed back there again in yhe future.

They always have what I need to service each boat Ive owned. They are a bit more pricey for items but I know if I need it. Theyll have it. Unfortunately the person behind the part counter may not be the most knowledgeable person. Its hit or miss, much like going to an Autozone or Orielys. Given the higher price on a large amount of items and sometimes lack of knowledgeable parts associate. These are the reasons Ive given four Stars instead of five.

Super expensive. Way higher prices than Ive seen anywhere else. An example is a plug that I bought there for $9 that You can get at sportco for $3. Also found the staff to be less than helpful. Nice enough but not very knowledgeable.

If you find yourself standing at the service counter for 10 minutes and some guy named Walter comes in dont be surprised if some woman comes running over and helps him first. I needed the part right away or I would have left. The only saving grace was the serviceman that was busy ran over right away to help me. I needed 3 other items for boating but Ill pick them up somewhere else.
