Decent selection and usually pretty clean... Unfortunately Ive never actually felt very welcomed there. The staff seems very inconvenienced by customers just walking in let alone having to answer any questions or helping find something. And I have yet to be in there without seeing at least one person that clearly is high on something shoving things in their bags... I have always said something to someone and again felt like I was inconveniencing them by letting them know 😕

Helpful, kind employees. Just my kind of place, everyone wants to know what your next project is. Always discounts going on. Might just get hit on by another cute girl there for fabric. Good times had by all.

I like it a lot but it is kind of pricey. Easily able to get lost in if youre a crafty creative person if you know what I mean LOL one thing I didnt like was their website does not match their inventory. Said they had 12 items of something in stock I needed when I arrived every one of them were missing and the only explanation I was given was somebody must have stole them. I had to drive 35 minutes out of my way to a different location just to go and find what I needed

Minimal help if you are new. Check out lines were longer than costco when we had a paper shortage! Great selection! Fare prices.

They had a few good deals but Im not sure the cutting table people really understand their pricing. But they are very courteous and helpful.

Tons of Halloween stuff and sewing/crocheting stuff. Friendly staff. Lots of stuff for Halloween ideas, but I wish there were those plain vertical thin wooden boards there so I could get one to paint on. Otherwise, great store!

I like Joann Fabrics. Im sad that most of the time the store looks under stocked. Staff have said they need help and are hiring. I have always enjoyed the help from who ever is cutting fabric.

My wife loves going to Joann to get anything crafty! Today we are here for decorations for our daughter’s birthday. Pretty much every thing you could think of is here.The felt selection for our girls flower crown was perfect and we even found a paper trimmer to put the finishing touches on the invitations.Make sure you hunt for coupons though because they almost always have one for 40-50% off.Be careful when you get to the checkout aisle though because that’s where they keep all the chocolate treats!

The workers werent as friendly as they used to be at this location near the Tacoma mall I dont know what caused the atmosphere in this store to be so negative but I wish it would go back to how much I enjoyed going there before now I dont know if Ill be a returning customer. Maybe hobby lobby or MICHAEL s would prefer my business.

Slightly understated, but great selection of crafting supplies.

Line for cutting is 20+ minutes. All I need is the REMAINDER of the tulle on my roll. Nothing needs measured. The worker that helped me typed in the item number and could see there was only 3 yards left but they counter wouldn’t let me check out without going to the back to have the fabric cut. I come in on my lunch break, had to wait 20 minutes to get checked out in the first place. I will NEVER come back to this location.

All kinds of crafting materials but they specifically were the only place I could buy felt that was wide to cover a table. Good price as well

Pretty good selection of watercolor supplies except they need to keep restocking of sold items. I noticed a lot of empty spots where sold brushes were not restocked. Download the app because they will have money saving coupons available. I used a 40% off one regular priced item and saved 10.00

The seek Kevin is pretty limited and it is definitely overpriced. In a positive note. Its never very crowded.

Since C19 I havent shopped at JoAnns but today after watching an Instagramers shopping haul I decided to pay them a visit...and boy am I glad I did! Great sale going on on home decor, items for ur garden as well as decor for ur outdoor living space. They also had a sale on pic frames...just throughout the store. Great sale & they were friendly.

Downgraded from 3 stars to 1. Clearance items marked up from regular price by $2.00 on a reg. 8.99 item. I buy this item often. When i asked the manager about it she said she could do Nothing about it. Didnt offer a phone number for me to call, didnt even say she would ask about it later. Just terrible customer relations.I asked for the corporate number and have been on hold for 13 minutes.Roland was nice. Submitted a ticket to correct it. I guess well see.

Dont go here If youre working on a project that requires you to buy 2 cuts of the same fabric. They wont custom cut, even though Ive had it done on multiple occasions. Didnt see any signage posted stating that. And employees were blatantly rude about enforcing said policy. I spend upwards of $100 here weekly but will no longer be a customer.

I had to put my fabric down and walk out because prior to me wairing 2 employees were cutting and then one of the two chise to put fabric in the bin and then walk off verses help me since the other pers9n being helped had stacks of fabric to be cut and i had two. Know i was the only one waiting for help.

Just fun to walk around and get inspired. They lose a star because I hate dealing with all their coupons.

This location is the only fabric store within 20 miles. Great fabric selection. The sewing supplies are being overrun by the household decorative gee-gaws. Friendly staff. Lots of parking.

This store was by Tacoma Mall. At the fabric counter, the workers were super slow. With only 2 people ahead of me I had to wait right about 30 minutes. Other than that the place was fine

I have a love/hate relationship with Joanns. I love that they have fabric. So few places have much, or any these days. I love their selection of other items too. The friendliness/helpfulness of staff is touch and go. Often they seem stressed, overly busy, generally unhappy, or like they just dont care much, which seems odd, because to me a craft store is, or should be, a place of joy.Some workers are great though.Lines can be very long. The cashier will call for help, sometimes multiple times, but help may or may not come. Its usually a long wait at the fabric counter too, but at least I can browse while I wait for my number to be called... That was a brilliant idea!What I often hate, though its actually improved a lot, is their app and/or website. It used to be almost completely impossible to use. Trying to look at locations where items were available would do strange things to items in your cart. Shipping fees would show up even when you changed everything to pick-up. Coupons wouldnt work properly, or at all. The back button just wouldnt work, or your filters would get reset every time you went back to your search results after viewing an item, and the whole site would just be mind-bogglingly slow!Its improved, but there are still issues. Its much faster (thank goodness!!) But can still be slow at times. There are still issues with coupons, but less frequently. There are still navigation issues and new login issues, but its inconsistent instead of constantly being a problem. The cart issues with selecting a different pick up location seem to be resolved. Its still annoying, but definitely useable.Ive contacted customer service MANY times to try and resolve issues. They do reasons, but it can take days, and by then my coupon may have expired, or Ive given up and give elsewhere to purchase because I have a project that cant wait. Sometimes they respond but completely misunderstand. The customer service team definitely doesnt seem to be aware of what coupons theyre currently offering. I sincerely wish they had a faster response time and better service!What irritates me the most right now is how much theyve limited coupons. They only have so much in stock, so if I need more, or different colors, I can often only use a coupon for the online part of the order, or only for the pick-up part. And you can only use one coupon, so its a big pain because I have to do 2 separate orders if I want a discount on the whole order. Its often the same product (different colors) and the same discount on the two coupons! That makes it a lot harder to review what Ive selected and make adjustments.I shop here more than any other craft store right now. It used to be Michaels for yarn, but their coupons have gotten even more limited it seems. (And their site/app was just as bad)Overall its great to be able to access the products, hence 4 stars, but they have a lot of room for improvement, both locally, and company-wide)

The staff was nice as usual. No one asked me did I need help though. The manager wasn’t doing a good job at being discrete. She called on her microphone to have the people watching the cameras to look at a person with a hoodie that was adjacent to her and I was the only person with a hoodie that was adjacent to her. And she kept following me after that. She could’ve asked me did I need help because I did. They may need to hire more people during the holidays to help out on the floor. The cashiers move a little slow so expect to wait.

Normally I havent had problems at this store but today was different. I went in to get a refund and the packages were unopened and I had a receipt. The items were only purchased in July so they were still fine to get a refund. They had so many trying to get the system to accept the register receipt that they told me they would have to return it as a no receipt return when they could clearly see all 5 items that i needed to return and their price, not to mention the bar code on the receipt. So the manager even tells me that the system was only going to give me 40% of what was actually paid for the items even though she knew I paid full price. Told me that it was the system and that she couldnt do anything about it. Somehow after I threatened to call the corporate about how my return wasnt fair because they couldnt give me a full refund she was able to get the register to recognize my refund and the full amount was refunded.

Where do I begin, I am in disbelief at the utter disrespect and lack of professionalism displayed at this JOANN location. I am a Soldier and my mother is in Washington visiting me here at my station from California. We had a question about the weekly ad, particularly the paint section, I pressed the call button on the locked up paint, we were greeted by an employee named Diane, we asked her if she knew which paint was on sale, she replied no. We asked if she could find out, she said no. We asked if she could get someone that could help us, she said no and proceeded to walk away. I asked her if she was serious, she asked to see the ad we had, we explained we did not have the ad with us, she went to grab the ad and after hastily flipping through the ad, she said the ad wasn’t there. My mother grabbed the ad, and found it right away, she then walked to another aisle, came back and proceeded to stare blankly at paint, I pointed out which can was in the ad and she handed it to me. My mother told her we should get her paycheck since we had to do her job for her, to which she responded “I don’t make much anyway”. There are plenty of people who could use a job right now if she doesn’t want it, she should give it up for someone that does. We have been Joann customers for over 15 years, and after this experience with Diane, I will no longer go to a Joann store in Washington .

Prices have gone up in the past 2 years. Id like to see the clearance section better filled, more with lowered, more reasonable cleared prices.

It’s near stores is my favorite toys r us and the joann is a good fabric store we usually by there fabrics like for making socks and sweaters on Christmas. This store is not big as toys r us, but is really good for arts! I love to buy puzzles there especially on Christmas on Christmas sale. Officially sales are not so big like on going out of business sales but still they have good deals!

Had coupon for Dritz curved basting pins and would not take because it was not a sewing notion. What is it? Was not happy. Then they were marked $14.99 and was charged $16.99. Would not go look at price on shelf, charged higher price. Not happy with Joann s in Tacoma.

Don’t try and do an order online and pick up here. The slowest and their customer service in wanting to help you is nonexistent. If your item can be picked up at another location choose that location instead. Don’t call them about your order because they have no compassion even if you are being nice and just want a confirmation.... they act like they don’t understand what your needs are. I get it, there’s a pandemic but if you can’t display customer service or compassion don’t even work there.

Well with covid it is nice to get shopping done loved the holiday decorations.

Ordered online for curbside pickup. First an item I ordered wasnt flagged so someone bought in store (wasnt aware they were open for in store) & now I dont have it for my pattern that I bought the whole order for. Then somehow the pickup name was a married name I havent used in 15 years. I have no idea how that name came up. So it took a while for them to find it. Make sure to double check everything before you place your order. And if something you order has a small quantity in store you may lose it.

Had exactly what I needed.

They rearranged fabric sections and I dont like it. They used to have all cotton/quilt fabrics at front corner of store. Nice and open before. Now it feels like a cave and dark which makes it hard to see colors of fabrics. Not inviting and NOT relaxing...Cottons are in aisles where you cant step back enough to even see them and have to wait for people to move to see.

Joanns is an awesome store. But it seems that they were working so hard on social distancing that they did not have enough people working. And there inventory is really low. I went for 3 items and left the store with only one of the items.

So I went in today on the 22 of April 2020 during Covid. I understand the circumstances we are in right now on how there can only be 20 people in the store at a time but the customer service is ridiculously slow and some of the workers had attitudes that really bothered me. It was very unprofessional as the workers were having side conversations that were leaving the customers sitting out in the rain just trying to shop. I could of done a better job than the people running the flow of people and as I said the customer service needs a lot of improvement. It is not hard to be polite to customers standing in the rain for an hour that have concerns. Definitely not going back anytime soon.

Great experience with the staff, poor experience with price consistency between online and in-store.I saw an item online advertised at a sale price of $4.79 per yard down from $11.99 per yard. I thought about buying it online and picking it up in store, but it is fairly close and I had to go there anyway.I arrived at the store and couldnt find it, so I asked an employee for help. She was great! She asked for the item number which I gave to her from the website, and she found it for me. I took the 10 they had in stock and at checkout the price seemed high, so I asked about it. I was told they were on sale and how much I saved, and for some reason it made sense.After arriving to my business, We started going over the receipt, and the price would have been correct if we bought 10 yards of fabric, but we we only bought 8 and the price was $1.20 higher than advertised on the website. So I called the store.Again the employee was very helpful and explained that not everything is the same price online as in store, but they would price match it. Unfortunately, I would have to take one item and the receipt back to the store and show them the price to match. So I did, taking a copy of my reseller permit (I showed them a picture on the first transaction with a copy of the business license).I get in and wait patiently. for the line to go down and an employee to assist me. I gave the employee the reseller permit explained the situation and showed their online price.The employee started to become frustrated from what appeared to be a slow or non response from the touch screen. I waited patiently while the transaction was completed. I signed and went to my car. As I looked over the receipt, I noticed it had tax applied, so I went back in to get clarification, and the employee refunded the tax making my receipts all correct for the sale price online.As a retailer, I know how important brand reputation is, and the people responsible for advertising and pricing is doing a huge disservice to Jo-Ann Stores.

This is a great place. Great place for seasonal crafts and gifts. Great sales! I really like the app no need to cut coupons codes right on your phone.

Joann always has great coupons and sales. Their selection of fabrics has been getting better as well. It is hard to get out with just what I went in for because I always end up browsing all of the amazing sales.
