The nicest, cleanest and most well organized Goodwill! Nicer items, also.Currently the bathrooms and dressing rooms are closed, so plan accordingly. The donation station opens at 1, and there was a line of cars right through the parking lot, so dont plan on donation unless you can wait a while.

This store is always clean, well organized, and has a great selection of items to choose from. Its very rare that I do shop here but was recently in that part of town so I stopped in. The issue I have is that I find the staff here lacking in customer service skills and are sometimes downright rude. Unlike the 38th Street Goodwill which I prefer to frequent more often, this store will not wrap your fragile items for safe transporting (they certainly dont offer) and dont even handle them carefully. I made purchases before and had to watch closely as items that I had inspected before purchase were damaged after they had handled them. For this reason I typically dont shop here. I always bring my own bags, which I know I must pack myself and have no issue with that; however, Ive been asked if I need a bag when I clearly have one present and waiting to be filled and then Im asked if I need to purchase it.....why would I pay for something that came in with me....and then Im asked where I got it. Im almost tempted to tell them I stole it while they were asking their inane questions. Thats only a small sampling of some of the absurd conversations Ive had with staff...theres much more that keeps me from shopping this particular location. The 38th Street store has far better management and staff and is always a friendly store that consistently goes the extra mile for their customers. Not so for the 6th Avenue location which could certainly learn valued customer service skills from their 38th Street location. As a lifelong Tacoma resident Im aware that the North End has traditionally been the more uppity side of town and this is very evident when one chooses to shop that part of the city, even when thrifting.

Same product as always. Isnt To help the NEEDY any longer though. Almost seems as if its a FOR PROFIT business now. As the prices reflect what items are exactly worth or more, no good deals to be had any longer.. Not a one! Shame on you guys!

Only enjoy going to Goodwills on .99 day or $1.99 day. Plenty of times I find items that have two different tags and manager would not sell item. Prices are so rediculous. Need to have better customer service skills. Please lose the attitudes and do whats right for the customer not the almighty dollor. But then again, this is just one customers opinion. Im sure others would agree.

Wish Goodwill would stop hiking the prices for things they get for free. Its a 100% profit after overhead, they make. Arizonas Goodwills dont do it, and they even have every other Saturday, 50%, the entire store! Wish all Goodwills were the same.

This is my favourite Goodwill in the area. Its very large and clean, wide enough that it doesnt feel cramped even when the store is busy. I do agree with the others that the clothing is a bit pricey for thrift stores. There did seem to be a lot of new/packaged things there as well. Not sure if those are donations from businesses or if that Goodwill is a little more retail? For home goods, furniture, decor, DVDs, books, and similar things, I found the prices were excellent. I got a beautiful, never read, pristine hardback copy of all Jack Londons novels/poems for three bucks. Super happy :D

Like most good wills this one also has both nicer womens clothing and a wider variety. I was impressed by how much effort goes into this store and its displays, going so far as to have clothes color coordinated. A nice spread out floor plan keeps the clutter from building up; unfortunately, the big killer for me was the cost of the clothing.. it seems this is a theme that runs thru all Washington Goodwills. Im used to seeing 2-3 dollar price tags.. if I wanted to pay $20 for some clothes Id go buy them new with the tags.. free of all fades rips and tares.. it may seem sound cheap but I think youre getting a little greedy Goodwill.. these are articles that have been donated.. just because its a faded Tommy Bahama doesnt mean charge 20 bucks for it.. a pair of used worn vans 15 dollars.. ahh I walked around the store for a hour selecting, checking, changing my mind.. in the end I left with nothing.. if Goodwill lived in the real world I prolly would have walked out of there after spending half my money.. because its not the clothes I need or want to buy... Its the insane deals I just cant pass up...
