Great customer service - went above and beyond to fix an ordering error.

Packy is the greatest!! He kept my 2 year old busy playing with him while my fiance & I tried out treadmills. Even gave him a little medicine ball :) Then when I came in after receiving my treadmill & not liking it, he let me pick out another of same or greater value & didn’t have to pay a restocking fee to return & am not being charged for having the new one set up! Such an honest great guy! Will be doing all my fitness shopping here for sure!!

My experience with Anya and the team at The Fitness Outlet was awesome. Anya and her team did a fantastic job of keeping me updated and informed every step of the way. I purchased a custom 9 foot pool table, which I had dreamed of as a kid, and they handled the logistics and the covid issue and delivered as promised flawlessly. I would recommend them to anyone. Fitness Outlet TacomaI don’t generally write reviews, but in this instance I felt it important to do so. This week I purchased a Hoist V4. I was assisted by the store manager, Packy Tornquist, and it is Packy’s customer service, experience and professionalism that motivated me to write this review. This purchase experience ranks as one of the best I have experienced. Packy impresses as very trustworthy, respectful, transparent and down to earth, but also has vast knowledge and experience. He made me feel completely at ease as he assisted in demonstrating and sharing experience about the various equipment items that interested me. He also provided assistance on using the machines safely and with proper technique, almost like a personal trainer would offer to a client, yet there was zero pressure. While Packy contributed invaluably to the purchase decision, at all times I felt that it was entirely my decision, about everything, and even after spending quite a long time with me, when I initially decided to think about it, again, I felt no pressure. I did return the next day and completed the purchase, after completing some additional product research to confirm exactly which model and with what accessories I needed for my fitness goals.It is rare these days to find such an honest and integrity driven sales professional. Packy was wonderful and helped me find the perfect treadmill before the holidays. I had spent months during quarantine trying to find a good machine at a good price online and the ship times and cost were prohibitive. He let me run on the treadmills to get a feel for them and within 30 minutes he found the perfect one for me. I also opted to take it home myself and he made that process super simple and fast! I went from no treadmill to the best treadmill in one week thanks to Packy.

It was delivered for free halfway across the country from them and at as good of a price as I was able to find. I am very happy with the product and with The Fitness Outlet too! My husband and I purchased a spin bike a couple of months ago from Packy at The Fitness Outlet. We visited the store with a desire to get educated on bikes and to find something that fit our needs, Packy was really awesome. He was attentive but not pushy, gave us space to try some things out and gave us a great experience the whole way through the process. I bought a universal gym back in 2013 from Packy (who still manages and possibly owns this location). Well, our machine was a commercial machine being used for home use. What that means is that it has a lifetime warranty on any and all parts. I called Body Solid to get new cables and a couple pads since I have used it 4 to 6 times per week for almost 8 years, and they said I needed my original purchase receipt. I called Packy and he found it in 2 minutes and emailed it over to me. He never tries to over sell and is a life long lifter himself and as such really knows what works and what doesnt. He was friendly and fast, and for the record Body Solid was just as easy to work with. I would advise anyone to check them out before buying elsewhere, gym equipment is something you get what you pay for, and he has amazing prices for top of the line equipment!

Packy worked with me on the purchase of an E3 Total Body Elliptical Workout. His candid and pragmatic recommendations saved me approximately 15% over what I would have paid otherwise and put us in a machine that was just what we needed. No more, no less. He didnt have to do that and it speaks to his high level of professionalism and integrity. The E3 works exactly as advertised. The litmus test will be the number of years of trouble free usage (daily use) we get without major repairs. So far so good.

5 stars for customer service!I corresponded with Anya. I initially reached out to customer service to ask about shipping timelines. The website had originally said 10 to 14 days for shipping but with Covid and the high demand it took additional time to receive. However in the meantime, Anya did a great job keeping me updated on shipping progress and was extremely friendly to work with. With customer service like this I would not hesitate to purchase from here again!

Went in to purchase a bench, the sole employee there gave the impression he didnt care if he helped me or not. I dont expect a heros welcome when I go into a business, but at least a civil greeting. The employee mumbled something 5 or 6 times, mostly unintelligible, except for quoting the price of the item. To his credit, the unhappy young man carried the box to my vehicle, shoved it in and turned away as I thanked him -- no response. Hope he has a better day tomorrow.

We purchased a Hoist Mi7 from Packy at Fitness Outlet Tacoma back in August 2020. He extended us 12 month zero percent financing through Wells Fargo (WF) for the Mi7. For some reason WF, in their first bill to us, only acknowledged six months at zero percent. A call to Packy resulted in his looking into the problem and his assurance the 12 month offer would be coded correctly, if it wasn’t already, in their system. Sure enough after disputing the six month period directly to WF, the correct 12 month period was eventually acknowledged. During these unprecedented times, due to our limited interactions, Packy is living proof that great customer service can still be achieved over the phone. Thank you Packy from Fitness Outlet Tacoma! The only place to get your exercise equipment from. The selection in store is outstanding with an even greater amount available online. Packy is the best, very knowledgeable and friendly!So glad to have found this place after looking at other stores. We really wanted to buy in person and not online, the selection here allows a person to try out a piece and be confident it is right for them. Looking forward to a return trip when we need anything else.

Great experience shopping for my indoor cycle! Brooke is super knowledgeable and helpful. She showed me all the equipment I came in to look at plus a couple others that I had not considered. I ended up changing my mind and buying a different type of cycle and could not be happier!! I love it! I will definitely go back to The Fitness Outlet for fitness needs in the future.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. They were willing tinker us try machines out, encouraged it actually. They have a decent selection of machines and have ranges of models from several brands. While we didnt end up getting out elliptical here I would encourage anyone to shop here. We just managed to find the same model we looked at here on deep closeout elsewhere. Otherwise they would have had our business.

I purchase 2 machines from the Fitness Outlet in Tacoma. The manager, Packy was a pleasure to work with. He showed a huge selection of ellipticals and treadmills and was VERY knowledgeable. There was no pressure to buy anything. We received our machines complete with installation and are extremely happy. Good store and great staff.

We came in back in early September to check out the Indoor bikes. I had my eye on the Life Cycle GX in particular. I tried out all three similar models and confirmed the GX as the best choice. Brooke was very helpful in placing our order. We also chose to have it delivered and set up. The bike arrived when promised and was set up, no hassle! Very good job overall and Im pleased with my choice!

The store has excellent equipment and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The store manager saved me time and money by assuring me that I could easily assemble my new stationary bike. He was right. Im glad I found this store and I will be back for any new exercise equipment that I need.

When you order something online through The Fitness Outlet they charge your card a lot of money only to say they are out of stock for 2 weeks. Their answer.... oh the website isnt updated- you can get a refund and get your money back in 1 week or just wait 2+ weeks for your product. Too bad there isnt an option to rate - awful customer service! They could care less of my frustration obviously since they already have my money! Do not recommend, IF you do buy anything make sure to call and confirm before purchasing.

We visited about 2 months ago to get information about treadmills. Packy gave us great information on a variety of treadmills. We returned today after we realized the best reliable quality treadmills were at the Fitness Outlet for what we were willing to spend. Packy is so knowledgeable with all the equipment and was invaluable in helping us decide the best treadmill for our home. We bought a Landice L7CT. Im so excited to be able to use it!

My wife and I went to the Fitness Outlet to purchase some cardio equipment. We didnt know a whole lot about what to look for and we both wanted something different. The manager there, Packy, helped us find what we needed. He listened to us, didnt try to force us to buy anything, let us try all the equipment and helped explain all the differences with the machines (a confusing process because they had so much stuff). Friendly and no pressure. Were very happy with our purchases. Delivery guys were great too!

I purchased a personal power plate here from Brooke who was both friendly and knew what she was talking about. She was very helpful and talked with me about what would work best.

The selection is good, and the prices are competitive. We had a bit of a misunderstanding on the front-end, but Brooke took the time to explain the situation and apologized, which I greatly appreciated. There was a minor issue with the equipment, but she let me know that the warranty was solid and they would get someone out there to fix it as soon as possible.

Stopped in the store on Sunday afternoon...was interested in a sit down elliptical machine.We were greeted by Brooke, a very pleasant and intelligent young lady who actually understood the product she was offering!. She took the time to discuss and to listen, while at NO time becoming pushy or in a hurry!We are still looking around, but thanks to her help now understand things far better then before we went uin the store! We purchased a Rower in May from Brooke at Fitness Outlet. I had emailed WaterRower a couple days prior & heard from the Mgr at Fitness Outlet the next day inviting us to come down. We visited Fitness Outlet on a Sunday and went home that day with our new rower! Brooke is an outstanding lady, very knowledgeable and friendly. We were very impressed with the selection of fitness equipment they have and will be return customers. We were so impressed by our experience, I reached out to WaterRower sharing our story. This store is not a huge discount fitness store, and honestly when making a purchase like this, you want a top of the line sales person as well as a selection of brands to choose from. Dont let the name of the store influence you. I cant recommend Brooke and Fitness Outlet enough!

Ordered Jacobs Ladder on Oct 3rd and its been over two months and still no delivery. Found out it was shipped on Nov 23rd and has just been sitting in their local warehouse for weeks. Phone calls just went to voice mail and no response. Online portal messaging left me hanging with broken promises of followups. I finally had to contact the corporate office to track it down and get it delivered within a week or two. I wont ever buy anything from Fitness Outlet again. Bad XP.
