I have never experienced better customer service as I have with the Tacoma branch of Norco medical supply. There are no silly questions. They take the time to listen and chase down the answer for you. I have received a lift chair and hospital bed with an air transfer mattress. Any and all questions I have had have been addressed quickly and pleasantly. As far as Im concerned they will be my go to place from now on. Thank you Norco for making my days and nights more tolerable.
I have dealt with many medical supply companies in the past through my work as a medical social worker. I came to Norco to see about getting ”anti-tippers” for my mother’s wheelchair after witnessing her almost tip completely back in her wheelchair. Unfortunately I never got her name but she was SO helpful and kind, and I was provided with the exact needed anti-tippers. Bless you!
We had a great experience with an employee at the Tacoma location. Donna M stepped out of her normal roll to help us replace a Dream Station machine that was under recall. After the doctor requested another machine and provided an updated sleep report, she managed to contact Datri at the Renton office and held my hand to be sure the order was started.Datri also stepped up to the plate and to get the replacement in place in time for my brothers return from almost 2 weeks in the hospital. When 2 employees from different locations work as a team to make sure the transition from hospital to home care works successfully with no hiccups I have to believe the company and employees deserve our business.
Beth was the best....she made sure i had my cpap machine within a couple of days and when i got it i had trouble with the mask and one phone call to her and she had me a new and different mask the same day.
Debra is AMAZING! She is very kind hearted n was very sympathetic to my needs! She was VERY helpful! Highly recommend Debra at Norco for your CPAP needs! Thank you Debra!!!
I work in retail, and know the importance of good reviews. So let me explain why I gave the Tacoma Branch a two star review. My initial visit last week was pleasant. I was originally scheduled to see Mrs. Deborah Dryden last Wednesday. Unfortunately, there was an emergency, and my appointment was rescheduled for the next day. I had no problem with that. Somebody other than Mrs. Dryden assisted me with the mask fitting. I wish I could remember her name, because she was awesome. I would definitely give her customer service a five Star!I wasnt certain about the feel of the mask, so she suggested to give this Mask a try for a couple of days; and if had any issue with it, to call and come back in and they would find something better suited for me. She also said that she would hold off right now ordering more masks for me until we knew for sure that this mask was the right fit for me. She didnt wanted to unnecessary charge my insurance, and then have to change it again. I gave this mask a try for five days. Its comfortable but doesnt stay sealed due to me tossing and turning at night. The fitting was last Thursday, April 22nd, and I gave the Tacoma Brach a call yesterday, April 27th.I dont remember the phone receptionists name, but she wasnt very friendly. After I was explaining why I was calling, she rudely said that there is no need to overexplain. Who says that!? You get paid by the hour, I am sorry if I wasted your time with my explanation. As a receptionist, just pass the call on to whoever it was directed to, and keep your negative comments to yourself. When I finally got to talk to Mrs. Dryden, she immediately told me that normally she tells her customers to give the mask at least a week. Also, she needed a reason why this mask was not working for me for the insurance. Why!? That was not what I was told. I was told that there would not be an issue exchanging the mask, and to call a couple of days later to let them know if this mask was working for me or not. That way they would know for certain which mask to order for the future. She than went on saying, that if the next one isnt working, I will have to pay for the mask out of my own pocket. So I just said O.K, and ended up with another sleepless night. I wish there was a medical supply store closer to me, cause I dont even feel comfortable dealing with them now.It pains me to leave such a negative comment, but I am a paying customer and deserve better customer service.Update: I was amazed at the fast response I got from Mr. Joe Williams, the Regional Vice President. It shows that this company takes complaints serious, I am impressed! I went back to exchange my mask, and was helped by the Branch Manager Cassandra. She was amazing, and super helpful! Dont let my one bad experience discourage you from going there. They do care! I definitely would give this customer service a five Star 👍.
Deborah Drydan did an AWESOME JOB! She helped me understand the equipment I was there to get and answered all my questions, thank you for your patience, i highly recommend NORCO.
I purchased 6 dreamwear under nose nasal pads for my sleep apnea machine through norco. I did not see any prices but I did see prices on Amazon and they are $8 a piece. I figured they would be around the same price. Norco sent me a bill for $195.42. This is outrageous. I highly recommend staying away from this place.
Complete nightmare! Unfortunately I had to deal with them and regret it. Took 2 weeks to get the order, several phone calls with main office, and two women (not pleasant at all), working there miss informed and my insurance company - finally I walked out and ended up renting unit somewhere else. My advice go buy one on Amazon or rent it elsewhere - it will be less nerve-wracking. And you will save time and money for sure. Would give 0 stars!
What a waste of time. The clerk at the counter never stops talking about her own problems. She is clearly in the wrong business. She has absolutely no compassion for anybody but herself. See is an incapable narcissist.
Great service and products!
Easy to find location in downtown Tacoma with parking. Big space with lots of home medical supplies. Was looking for equipment to help a friend who recently had surgery. Got some great ideas to pass along to her on her journey to recovery. Customer service was great and very knowlagable.
They took care of all of my CPAP needs. The whole team is great to work with.
Norco of Tacoma went above and beyond to help me get what I need! Great service and very friendly staff! Thanks so much Deborah!
First off I am in Medical as an Admin for a Lead Dr. I know how the paperwork flows, the challenges, and frustrating customers one can get. These guys go out of their way to ensure the paperwork on their side is accurate and wont get rejected by the insurers review for equipment. They overcame the challenges of my providers administrative office dragging its arse. The insurances requesting for more details. These people are the middle men in paperwork and they really do fight hard to get things done.As an admin, they performed excellent. Exactly how I expect my staff to be like to. They meet my standards and thats pretty hard to do. I hold them to the standards my facility holds me to. If you cant perform as well or better, you suck.Well Norco...you DONT SUCK... Keep it up paperwork commandos. Dont get discouraged by prick customers who dont understand how it all works. I do and you did excellent.
Professional, courteous, honest staff serve my CPAP needs to the standard a Respiratory Therapist with sleep apnea expects. They also do great job taking care of the oxygen needs of the Veterans in our community.
Slow service, bad customer service. I suggest going somewhere else. They received a two from me because at least you get a live person the phone. My MD faxed over my prescription for my CPAP before the end of the year so I would not have to pay my deductible. Norco called me and said they needed my insurance information. I faxed it right over, again before the end of the year. During this call I was put on hold 7 times and had to retell my story about the insurance information each time.I called this morning and they have not even started the insurance process!!! Hello deductible and preauthorization, because they dragged their feet. So disappointing. I let my insurance know they should not be in network.
This company is a JOKE This company cant provide service they offer. really bad experience, would not recommend to any one. equipment doesnt work properly. they cant set it up. and its always brakes. manager always lies.
What a great staff! Im so happy I made the switch to this store to get my Cpap supplies.
Some people are really good with people AND know what they are talking about. Deborah is one of those great customer service clinicians who make the experience of buying medical products you don’t know anything about - both enjoyable and educational. She’s quite excellent at her job and walked me through the whole C-Pap experience in a relaxed and friendly way (and she has a candy jar on her desk!!) I had to go back a second time when something (I’d chosen) didn’t work for me and there was none of the disapproving hassle that I expected. I’ll return to Norco in the future. Also, as a gay woman who brought her wife along I didn’t feel like she was uncomfortable at all.
DEBBIE IS SUPER AWESOME!!! WE LOVE YOU!! THANK YOU FOR HELPING MY BETTER HALF OUT NOW HES ABLE TO GET A GOOD NITES SLEEP!! MUCH APPRECIATED!!!
Deborah D and the staff at Tacoma Norco are always professional, friendly & promt while giving me customer support. They seem to always be very busy but find time to quickly take care of my issues.
My first problem is that Norco does not return phone calls which is imperative to keep Oxygen going. My second problem is that while explaining on Tuesday that we did not have enough oxygen to last us until Monday to get my Father through all of his appointments safely and we need either more travel tanks or the tanks refilled we were told that we had more then enough. I once again explained that we had 2 small bottles, it was not enough and we needed refills asap, but a man whispers in the background that my Dad has an in home concentrator and im told again we will be fine. Here it is now Saturday and we have no portable oxygen to get him to the pulmonologist Monday at 8am nor can we get to the orthopaedic surgeon to get his knee replacement bandage changed. This leg also has developed cellulitis and he wont be going to wound care either. Customer service is absolutely worthless as they tell me they cannot help me unless our concentrator is broken. So Ive spoken with the on call orthopedic surgeon who is just as displeased and would like us to use a company that is truly willing to help patients with life threatening conditions. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU REQUIRE OXYGEN!
If I could give this establishment negative stars I most certainly would...My hospital had a Norco representative on site after my sleep study to sign up for supplies. It has been an absolute nightmare dealing with them. 85% of my orders are incorrect, delayed or just dont arrive. Most representatives cant even figure out their own computer system. The system isnt integrated, so they cant tell you if an order was shipped...AND FINALLY...my straw that broke my camels back was leaving home without a mask and calling for a replacement to be shipped to my sons. My SATS drop down into the 30%s so my apnea is severe. I could have driven to another location, I could have called my doctor to expedite the process, BUT no one thought to update the customer about said delay. I went 10 days with no cpap. Very lucky not to have had a stroke in my sleep....If you value your life more than a free cup of coffee you will go somewhere else.
Do the people that are given this place five stars like work there or something? I have been trying to get CPAP supplies from this place for almost a month! every time I call they say that they are just waiting, what exactly are they waiting for?! I have sent everything that is needed! I could probably sell a kidney on the black market quicker than getting CPAP supplies in this town! This place stinks! Nobody knows what the hell they are doing!
So thankful for Deborah Dryden, who went above and beyond to help me find a part that I forgot to pack, and needed to use my CPAP machine! 👍👍👍👍
In three words: Caring, Knowledgeable, Friendly.Unlike some of the other places Ive been to, these ladies know what theyre talking about when it comes to cpap supplies. I recommend them everyone I know.
This company never returns calls. Ive called and left my number three times asking to speak to someone about supplies. The call system puts you through to the office and then transfers to the voice mail of the office manager. Instead of a response, I got a letter from the corporate office informing me that the rental of my CPAP machine (which I own) might not be covered by my insurance--how nice that they took the time to inform me in a 2 page letter about a problem that doesnt exist while ignoring my calls for supplies, a problem that really does exist. Calls to the corporate office have gone unreturned as well. My physician has a Norco office in their clinic, so the equipment came from them and I wouldlike to not go throught the hassle of setting up a new accountr with someone else, if thats even possible. In the last year, after trying to get them to bill my new insurance for three months, I paid the balance on the machine just to get their weekly bills to stop cluttering up my mailbox.
Amazingly poor service! I faxed my prescription, ID, and all insurance information ahead of time so that my knee scooter would be ready for pick up before my surgery. Now, standing at the counter, my surgery in 3 hours being told that they never even started the insurance approval process! The store is sweltering my hot and stinks of urine. These people should be ashamed!
This is to update my original review and the previous update (below). Brief summary: sept 2018 order - I was sent completely wrong items, insurance paid 100% (had met out of pocket max for the year). Spoke to manager, Jessica. Returned items & was sent correct goods.CURRENT STATUS: Seven months later Norco continues to bill me $83 for items that were paid at 100% by insurance at the time of my original order. New hoses and mask due now, but I dont dare order since they havent correced the original errors. Letters sent, fingers crossed. The only competent person Ive yet encountered with the company is manager, Jessica.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Im glad to hear Norco is great at shuffling paperwork...too bad serving actual customers is not also a priority for them. Ive ordered the gear for my C-pap twice. Both times they sent wrong items. The first time they included parts that would not work with my machine, but since what I did order also came, I didnt think much of it. This time several weeks after I placed my order, someone called to confirm it! I repeated the description of what I needed. Finally the box arrived...every item was wrong or missing and I cannot use any of what they sent. When I called to reorder the correct items I requested they send it expedited since Id already waited many weeks and my current headgear was broken.Debra advised me that if they were to speed up the shipment Id have to pay for it, even though it was to remedy their mistake. She was snippy as she declared that I ordered the wrong items - not true!I described what I needed twice, to two different employees. If you choose to do business with them you should probably order long before you actually need the goods, spell it out in great detail, and make them repeat it back to you. Plan to wait for weeks or months to receive your order.Disappointingly poor customer service.UPDATE.I wanted to send them a photo of all the useless equipment they sent...and charged me for...which I am returning, and want documented.. However, there is no email listed on their site to send it to. I Have returned the 3 tubes (one heated), two water containers, 7 nasal pillows ($300 for these small rubbery gizmos - outrageous!), and 3 sets of filters. An owner did notice my bad review, hopefully he will see that its made right.
Deb at Norco in Tacoma has gone above and beyond,to help me with everything Ive needed, starting with insurance to parts on my cpap machine.I had just been discharged from a 14 day, major surgery stay at hospital . I was very emotional,it didnt look like things were going to come together, but Deborah made it happen. All I can say is, she went above and beyond for me and this is not a one time happening, theyve been this way everytime Ive needed anything.Bravo Deborah and Norco!!!
I had surgery. The insurance gave me information and I was misinformed. Norco straightened out the problem and helped me. They are amazing with my CPAP as well.
Staff was not friendly and clap materials orders have been incomplete. Not really sure why I’m giving this place a full three stars.
Amazingly kind staff and high quality products.
Staff knowledgeable but CPAP item supposed to be ordered on July 3 still not ordered. Miscommunication the excuse. I have called in three times now plus the original store visit.Think it will come?Would switch to APRIA but their billing is a nightmare.
This place has thee WORST customer service and they gave us the run-around for a prescription refill claiming they supposedly didnt receive our faxed prescription but our doctors office sent it 3 times. We most definitely wont be using their services
I have been using their services for years and am not sure why. I guess because I didnt know you could get prescription pullups at our regular pharmacy. I have been trying to get pullups for almost 2 months now and just get the runaround. This happens every time we need to refill.I have had it with the frustration. Just called today and they told me that nothing has been faxed in. Funny, why did 3 people call me last week telling me they just needed one more thing before they could deliver?Im done. This place is an embarrassment to the medical community.
Started out well and went bad. Agents friendly but made errors and did not stay in touch as promised. When I called I got answering machines and still no call backs. I needed the item within 4 days. No success. After 3 days went to their competitors and went home with the needed item within hours of my request. Enough said.
