Amazing shop with amazing owners and the people that work there. Fair prices and easy to work with! Wide variety to choose from. Theres something for everyone. Highly recommend checking out when you get the chance!
Scorpio has a passion for all things vintage. The clothing selection is top notch and always updated with new items. I have bought and sold at Scorpio and each experience has been hassle free. ALL music shirts all legit vintage and are priced very fairly compared to market value. Not only is a great store, with cool owners, I am happy to say we are now friends.
Requires masks for fully vaccinated adults. Why did I get a vaccine, if places like this dont care weather you are vaccinated or not? Cool shirts, but lets get real. Stop treating vaccinated adults as though they are not.
I was pleasantly surprised by this beautifully curated vintage store on Tacoma’s 6th Ave! I’m in town for work, and found out about them via Instagram and I’m SO glad I went to check it out! Loads of street parking and the blonde girl working was super friendly and helpful. Prices were totally fair considering the quality and selection of the pieces they’re selling. I walked out with two gorgeous dresses (one from the 60s and the other 70s) that I am soooo stoked to wear when I get back home to California! Thank you thank you thank youuuu!
Hands down my favorite shop, not just in the PNW but in the US. They always have incredible new inventory... there’s too much to choose from. Unlike other stores they don’t put all their “best” stuff online, you really should make it in to experience it. The prices are great too, not that it should matter when you have a museum like that. Reminds me of the good old days of vintage shopping.
I have been collecting & selling vintage clothing for many years, and I can honestly say that there is no better place to sell your true vintage clothing, or to find something special to purchase. The owners offer top dollar for your vintage clothing, and their selection is really spectacular. There’s something new and special to find every day, and when I want to trade out the old, for some more old, this is where I go to do so. Whether you want to buy, sell, or trade, this is the spot to do it. Tacoma is SO lucky to have such a gem of a shop in our city limits, and it’s no wonder people drive from out of town to shop here as well. The owners are so kind and thoughtful, and really care about our community as well. I couldn’t dream up a better place.
Definitely a vibe if you’re trying to find some cool clothes or just a calming walk through, the prices get very high though and so I think it’s more of a passing activity than it is a mission to spend your dime here.Sometimes they have good sales though!! The cashiers never miss with kindness and helpfulness so i would recommend this shop!!
Cheree and her crew are little angels gracing the landscape of vintage clothing. I have endlessly messaged or called with questions only to be met with the utmost patient and informative responses. I live in Ballard but am from Hilltop so supporting local small businesses within the Tacoma community and knowing they are so welcoming is something I hold close. Thank you for all you do! Much love!
Great store! Super friendly owners and staff. Large selection and so many styles. Perfect for kids - senior citizens, something for everyone
Hands down the best vintage shop in washington 🙌🏻 they carry a little something for everyone and theyre prices are so great for the authentic vintage pieces you get! and not to mention, my personal favorite.. theyre original print band tee section 😍 its like walking into a museum and its always rotating at prices you wont find anywhere else !
This is my favorite vintage store on earth. There’s ALWAYS amazing finds. Ive found some of the most unique cute outfits here, things I never knew I wanted until I tried them on. And the music they play is rad as heck.
They have really cute and unique pieces and the atmosphere is very chill and comfortable but their prices are outrageous OUT RAGEOUS. The reviews saying “reasonable pricing” are false. They wanted $28 for a thin white t shirt that had visible wine or blood stains on the front. Extremely disappointed for the waste of gas and time it took to get here. If you want a nice Levi’s jean for $50 this is your place to go.Add on to the owners reply: it was a rock band t shirt I remember very vividly. It had a guitar on it I believe. There were loads of items just like that. I’m trying to inform people. Not to discredit your business though you really do have cool unique pieces and I think there is something for everyone in there. But the prices are pretty high just being honest.
Scorpio Rising Vintage is the true gem of 6th Ave. I feel so lucky to have such an authentic vintage store right within my city. I have been to vintage stores all around the country, and the quality and variety of items here is comparable to none. This store truly cares about its customers and has procured rare items for me upon request. Their prices are fair, and I know I will always find the vintage item I’m looking for here. Please support our local businesses so we don’t lose them! Buying vintage online is not at all the experience you’ll have coming into Scorpio Rising.
MY HONEST REVIEW!!! I stopped by here yesterday, I love vintage stores and antique stores !!!... BUT this WAS NOT IT.. it was small, not a lot of options, the clothes were basic and nothing worthy of my money tbh . it felt more like a small 2nd hand store like a small goodwill. I was excited coming here but it wasn’t all that at all. Kinda disappointed after I left, Lowkey basic, I’ve seen way better places. We love a small business but... yeahhh this isn’t it.
Scorpio Rising is one of my favorite Tacoma businesses to support. You get exactly what you pay for: fairly priced, high quality unique vintage, great customer service and a responsible handling of pandemic. Thankful for their part in the community!
I wish I hadn’t stashed away the pieces I got here to show off! It’s 46• and raining everyday now (reason why I delicately bagged and put away my cute vintage play suit /bathing suit tops I got. Coming from someone who is VAST picky about quality and also contradictory loves to pay dirt cheap for clothes.. this place was a win win! I even found super cool pieces for my son who was excited for them and coming from a 5 year old boy.. you know they hate shopping for clothes. Located on 6th ave right across from a record store and neighboring lots of cute quirky little places it’s totally worth a peek. I’m just annoyed at myself for not taking a walk in sooner! Thank you for doing Vintage the right way!🖤
If you are looking for good vibes and great pricing, check this place out! This quaint vintage shop gives you an opportunity to add style to your closet. Walked out with a few jackets and tees. You’ll be sure to scoop some goodies up without emptying your wallet. Something for everyone!
**Store is small, so be mindful of space if its a busy time. Wait outside if appropriate social distancing is a challenge.Really cute selection of vintage clothes and accessories. My kid (being my kid) is all about retro style right now. Rather than paying a mint for new clothes in a retro style, this weekend we went to Scorpio Rising to introduce her to vintaging. She was thrilled! And despite a relatively small selection, it was well curated enough that she found lots of items that aligned to her strong personal style. We will definitely be back.
Amazing local business! Great place to get vintage tees and denim for a good price compared to depop or other vintage clothing stores. Highly recommend
The coolest vintage store Ive been to full-stop. The taste in the curation here is super inspiring, if youre in Tacoma and youre looking for cool clothes you have to go here.
Hands down the best place to shop vintage around! Just purchased the cutest 60s mini. Dope clothes, good prices, and the owners know their stuff.
Reasonable prices, sick clothes, and great vibe ! got some vintage overalls and they’re my new fave ! a place you need to check out :)
Came in to sell 3-4 different occasions & EVERYtime - nothing was taken. They say everything has to be before the 1990’s & I’ve came in w/ older vintage clothes but gotten same results.I honestly get the vibe that they only buy from friends or the same faces that always come in. Easier to say no to strangers right? Also come to find out, the male co-owner of the store always sources through Goodwill Outlets aka the ‘Bins’ & gets most of their inventory through that method. It’s by weight & pretty much a T-Shirt is like 35 cents a pop.I know they’re going to simp about giving a “small family owned business” 1 star during Covid but when someone brings better & better stuff to sell everytime then you tell them the SAME line just to basically shew them away - what’s expected ?& Also, it was all the same before Covid.Save your time & efforts.Take a trip to U-District & sell to Red Light (appointment based), you’ll walk out LEAST $100 from my experiences.
I love this store and all the people who work here, all very friendly. Good selection of vintage goods, fare prices.
Clean store. Tons of options. Friendly staff!
Great shop! Has the best vintage items! Found so many amazing things! Highly recommend!
This place is amazing, assuming you have a love for vintage clothing. Smaller shop, but the selection was pretty rad. Picked up a couple items and will definitely be doing more shopping here.
I went in today and sold a purse along with some dresses. The staff was kind and they were very fair with their prices. I recommend this store for sure!
Found some really cool one of a kind items there. Always getting new stuff in. Looked it up randomly online and was very pleased with what I saw after making the trip there. Employees were cool laid back people. Very helpful. Going back soon.
Great selection and low-key atmosphere. Rare finds mixed in with off-beat styles from 60s to the 90s. Bargain potential is high as the volume keeps moving. I check in often to make sure Im not missing something amazing...
Not really a plus size friendly place. I felt awkward just walking in.
This place sure is cool. Cant beat the selection of unique/vintage clothing, and the prices are great. I cant recommend Scorpio Rising more.
Great store. was suprised by the exceptional quality and the amount of obvious care put into the selection of clothing. will return
This is the best high quality thrift shop in Tacoma the selection is on the smaller side but the quality makes up for it. The price is on the higer side but the gems that you will find are great worth checking out if in Tacoma
This past year I found the best Halloween costume. It was a pant suit that had lions and gazelles all over it and it was bright orange and yellow. It reminded me of the Bleeding Orange quote:~Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn’t matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle: when the sun comes up, you’d better be running.
My experience with Scorpio Rising was terrific the owners were there and are very nice and courteous with a wealth of knowledge of this clothing style I recommend this store A+
Always find good treasures
Just shopped here for the first time today on my moms recommendation! I live in Olympia and there are a lot of places like this but none so well-organized or affordably priced. Its more focused than the average vintage store - the clothes I saw mostly ranged from late 60s to late 90s and the music supported the rocker vibe of that era. The pricing is appropriate - the clothes are very fairly priced given that everything I saw was good quality but not overboard - in Olympia it is very common to pay MORE for secondhand clothing because the market is so over-saturated and there is pressure to fit a certain aesthetic. I spent about $100 and bought a hoodie, a denim jacket, a hat, a bracelet, and a wallet. The owner was a doll and I will absolutely be coming back!
Excellently curated vintage clothes. Great customer service
Awesome! I work on 6th ave and pass by all the time. Ive always been curious but Ive been a bit traumatized by other vintage consignment stores, the attitude, the judgement! Im not exactly hip or cool but I built up the courage to bring some stuff in to sell. The guy who greeted me (the owner perhaps?) was super friendly and quickly went through my clothes while I shopped. The selection is great, lots of treasures -especially tshirts from the 80s and 90s. I like that the hand written tags say what decade and provide some detail about each piece. The offer for my clothes was decent and I traded for a cool tshirt and a really cute Garfield sweatshirt. The prices are very reasonable. Thank you for such a relaxed and enjoyable experience! I will be back!
Great store, must check out if you are in the area!
Great selection! Clothing is all interesting and unique and the owner was very friendly and helpful.
I get that this store is vintage but man, when I entered this store it smelled really bad like a cigarette. it was awful, they have really old out of style clothing. every time you would flip to check out the clothes dust would come out it was so gross.
Amazing merchandise and very good prices!! I recommend this store very much!!
Many of my favorite pieces in my closet were purchased here. GREAT selections and extremely helpful and friendly staff.
Went there twice to sell some clothes but the lady is so freaking picky
Amazing selection
