Today I stop at the advance auto parts at 6300 New Hampshire Avenue,Takoma park.Everyone that work there was very polite and welcoming. Jesse helped me rate away. Jesse is very professional and knowledgeable about his job. After I scratched the paint off the back of my car. I went in and explained to Jesse my problem. He came out and looked at my car. Then he explained to me what I needed for my car which was Perfect Match. Which covered up the scratches on my car. I was so happy and relieved that Jesse knew just what my car needed.I would highly recommend this Advance Auto Parts to anybody.

I couldnt find the brake cleaner so I asked. The guy walked over & got a can & rang it up. $16!!! I was told it should be about $2-5. When confronted, oh yeah, they have the less expensive brake cleaner, but he figured I didnt know what prices run. Be careful. Be knowledgeable. These people will charge you more how ever they can!

This Advance Auto Parts location need to be retrained on simple company policies. I entered this location with the intent on returning a purchase that was not opened not damaged or even soiled. It was inside of the original bag but I did not have my original receipt. The manager was so rude and the first thing out her mouth was we dont return items without a receipt. I was confused by her statement because they clearly have a company return policy with no proof of purchase. ( ie a receipt) She continued and stated she has been the manager for 25 years and they dont do returns without a receipt. Which goes against company policy, which is posted all over the counter and cash register. I had to travel miles away to another Advance Auto Parts store that would honor the return policy. I will be writing their corporate office to get answers as to why stores are allowed to go against policy. Now Im sure the manager can care less if I ever purchase another item from Advance, but Im sure the owner of that store cares.

When I came into your store to pick up two LED bulbs for my vehicle:1. Your security guard was not properly wearing his mask and his nose fully exposed.2. Your system told my bulbs were ready for pickup when they were not. The clerk had to to the shelf and pull one off and give it to me. If something isnt ready, please dont send me such notification.3. Several large groups of people loitering on your parking lot who appeared to have no apparent business on your premises. They were just hanging out around their vehicles batting the breeze.Your store has some safety issues and organizational issues to resolve

Customer service was great. Walked in and was greeted by security. Walked around the store and an associate who was stocking the shelves stopped to assist me without me asking. We were in and out within 15 minutes. Great experience, Ill definitely shop there again!

I like the Tacoma Park location in particular. The employees are very helpful, especially the male and the female managers. Sorry I cant remember what their names are. Its a little further from my house than others but its worth the drive for the correct knowledge. Thanks again!!

Would not refund money for wrong part after I returned and purchased right part claiming it was “electronic”-heater blower motor resistor. Just lost a longtime customer! Autozone is just down the road so I’ll bring my business there.

This Advance auto parts has just the right chemistry of staff, they were willing to offer services such as a battery check and search the computer for the correct headlight bulbs to go in my car, it means a lot when you have someone that understands your auto care needs, during the Worlds biggest pandemic and economic crisis, keep up the excellent work!

My license tag needed to be put onto my car, but the bolt head there was broken off, leaving the broken bolt stuck, and me unable to affix my tag. The broken bolt needed to be drilled out to get my new tag on. A cashier directed me to Wade, who fixed that for a reasonable price, and got my new tag on quickly. Wade was also a nice, upfront guy; highly recommend him and this store.(But be aware that the guys in the lot doing repairs take cash, and the store doesnt offer cash back with purchases. An ATM is at the gas station nearby, though.)

My battery was a bit sluggish on a very cold morning. Realizing it was close to 5 years old I decided to get it tested/replaced at Advanced Auto. The gentleman who tested it could not have been nicer. Showed me that the battery was fine but most likely I needed a new alternator. He then quoted me a price for one and I was on my way. Would definitely go back.

Store needs more knowledgeable help and know when to cut the transaction, waited 30 minutes and was #4 in line. Employees were very nice. Customers trying to get stuff for free holding up the line. Some regular customers cutting the line as well and being taken care of ahead of us.

The manager honored a wrongfully posted sign for windshield washer fluid. It was a great 2 for 1 deal!! Wasnt a wide selection of steering wheel covers, but the store is big & shelves look well stocked for other auto needs. Its also located on a huge lot, for auto maintenance convenience.fyi.. several mechanics on duty on lot approached me for service if needed..

Lousy Customer Service with bad attitudes and no respect. Theres always an Armed Officer in the store. Its s dark, dirty, and gloomy. Crackheads stay in the parking lot and across the street. Makes you feel like you are not only going to get robbed by someone, but that you are also going to be robbed of your soul and time from the unfriendly ignorant Staff.Go to Autozone at East West Hwy and New Hampshire Ave or Parts Authority just off Kansas Ave. Both stores are about the same distance maybe 1 mile or a 3 min drive.

Broke the tail light of my Honda while backing up in a tight parking spot. The Honda Dealer wanted $500 for a new tail light. This place sells them and other autoparts at a heavy discount. Perhaps a few dollars more than EBay or other online sellers but then at Advanced Auto Parts, you can buy the part same day and dont have to pay exorbitant next day delivery charges.

I came to exchange my front brake pads that was purchased a few years ago. I. was so in happy at the fact they were unable to find my purchase. Come to find out Advance Auto customer profile is not all link together.Well needs less to day Ms.Dorene was awesome. Dropped in to buy windshield wipers. Birkti and Arturo did a great job making sure I got the right wipers. Arturo also installed them and (better yet!) showed me how to do the installation myself next time when I asked him to. Id definitely recommend this Advance Auto Parts location.

My go-to for D.I.Y. automotive supplies. My wife needed a new car battery, so I took her to Advance to show her just how easy and hassle-free the task can be. You have to love the staffs willingness to assist in minor installations for batteries and wiper blades. I always tip whoever helps me because they give such great service.

The guy who took care of me Mr. SS. It was as unpleasant as possible. I came looking for some parts and I showed him a picture of how he looked, so he could help me find it (I went to 2 stores before and they did help me. unfortunately they did not have them in the store) but this Mr. SS told me that he needed the number of part to help me. and then how could I have the number that part if I do not work there? I had to go to his website and find the part number so that this guy would try to help me. all this had already passed half an hour and he did not move a finger to search on his computer .... very unpleasant experience

This is a place that has been frequented over the years, with much satisfaction; however, this day after selecting items to purchase from an employee who was otherwise engaged, I went to the register to purchase.The man working the register to accommodate me seemed quite anxious, mumbling about another customer he promised to assist with a battery and the length of time he had been waiting. He kept checking his watch, looking at others in line, and mumbling. He researched and gathered other items I requested still with a somewhat rushed attitude, then received my payment.I was told by the first employee someone would be called to put wiper blades (3) on my vehicle. When I asked if someone would, he said HE would.He came out to help someone else and I inquired as to whether hed assist me (since he had said he would). He came to my vehicle and started with rear wiper telling me the spare wheel on rear of SUV had to be removed to accomplish the switching of wiper blades. I told him in the 18 years I have had this vehicle no one EVER removed the spare to change that blade. Then I asked that he explain the procedure and I would try. He told me if HE could not, then I could not.Hmm.I was okay with his DIS, because I know ... WE CHOOSE TO BE OFFENDED!!I chose not.He proceeded to the windshield to change out those two, then scurried awayleaving me with the rear wiper undone.Needless to say, I was disappointed, but was already working out a remedy for the replacement of same as I drove away.Wiper blade is now in place, as I attempted installation to a point in a Rockville gas station on Labor Day. A stranger came to ask me a question about a nearby shop, noticing my efforts, asked what I was doing, then snapped the proper piece in place and wiper works fine (he was a technician from a place in Virginia)... WITHOUT removing the spare wheel.And my God will supply ALL of your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19Amen.

Big store!! This one is a hub so they typically have everything you need compared to a smaller Advance Auto Parts store. The staff here is friendly as well. The prices are pretty reasonable.

Standard auto parts shop. Theyve replaced the windshield wiper guide book w/ a clunky electronic interface device that is annoying and slow to navigate through, so I recommend finding your wiper type on your own phone if you have one. Sometimes you have to ask for certain stock items that may not be on the shelves. There are usually a lot of people willing to help in the parking lot, and Im told that the store doesnt mind you doing car repairs there as well (plenty of spaces).

Aggressive people in parking lot who claimed they worked there but absolutely did not. Bought a battery and brought it out to car with an actual employee but manager chased us down and told us it might take 30 mins to install so they wouldnt install for me. I immediately returned the battery.

I hate going into this store. You cant make a left turn to get into the parking lot u have to make a U-Turn. Cashiers are slow. I wish this was Auto Zone. They do have more products (dash boar device holders) than AutoZone.
