Normally a great place - but 1 out of 2 gas pumps on the water was OUT.! Otherwise just high gas prices.

I re-furbish old boats. I have bought and had them install 2 Honda outboards. A 30 hp and a 90hp. Eddie was my salesman. He only ask for a small deposit. The motors came in on time as he promised. Their shop installed them on time also. There was no hidden extra expenses. I am totally Happy with their service.

Good launch great staff

People there are very rude!!!! Bought a boat from there and had to take it back because of it skipping. They replaced the fuel filter and 3 spark plugs. The parts cost $93 and the labor was $310.00!!! UNREAL!!!!! Oh and to top it off, there was a big scratch on the front of my boat which was not there when we took it! I wont be taking my boat back there!!!!

Professional and freindly staff! The mechanic and owners son were very helpful getting our boat fixed. We will definitely be back.

Everything good except ramp needs a little work while water is down!!

Unfortunately you can’t get any lower of a rating. Salesmen Eddie lies constantly- had boat 3 months and they have had it in shop 2 of the months for a brand new boat. Took it over 3 different times for the same issue and they never fixed it and said they had “test drove it”. Stay away from them, Avalon is a very nice boat but do not give your money to this business.

GREAT BOAT LAUNCH

Mike, the owner is a rude theif. I wont even go there to get gas, although it is the closest to me. Wanted to replace an engine in my boat when it needed a head reworked. Then offered to buy my boat at a ridiculously low price. Then, found out later that he stole my new carburator but claimed he gave it to me. The reviews on here say it all.

Only has 93 at fuel dock at over $4.00 gallon ( not posted). Ice cream sandwiches 3.75 each and rude attendant. 55.19 for 10 gallons and ice cream. Come on man.......should have known not 1 customer on property. But they are open

5.00 docking fee... gas on the water... tackle and boat parts... win win win!! :)

We bought a boat from poor house branch marina in late June. My husband was leaving their pier with our new (to us) boat and it broke down within 10 minutes leaving him dead in the water. Luckily another boater towed him back. Turns out they needed 2 weeks to fix the problem. We rented a boat from them the following weekend in excess of 300 dollars with no compensation (we wouldnt have needed to rent one if OUR boat was working). 2 weeks turned into 4 weeks and we finally got our boat. Now they are sending us bills for 70+ dollars for gas for when they filled up our tank when we originally bought it. I cant comprehend how they can stay in business. With such shady business practices... I can only hope that other boaters will read this review and decide to go elsewhere. Im only leaving 1 star because ZERO is not an option.

They got a nice little convenience store barely friendly staff got a good amount of Parts even though its all stock on the counters you if you look you may find what you need surprisingly in the order he does have a lot of random stuff on the shelves. Boat launch is always an excellent condition. He knows offer fishing pier that goes around the marina that you can pay a yearly fee for apparently I hear theres amazing crappie fishing in there in the fall in the winter I have yet to try it but Ive talked to many of people that do. Again very safe well-lit well clean excellent family launch they do offer dry-docking you can call him up so come put your boat in the water for you and you come back youre tired up they take it out the water for you kind of the Poor Mans non poor man way of doing it so the poor mans Marina not really so poor but he is fairly priced so the average poor man can afford it if you can afford a boat you can afford Pour House

NO WHERE NEAR WHAT I EXPECTED.Unable to deliver on promises made. Service.... I got none. Sales while having a good attitude, was not able keep promises. Owner...well mom said if you cant say anything good....It pains me to leave such a review, almost as much as experiencing it. ARGH!

Quoted my senior citizen father who lives on a fixed income $800 to replace the dash on his Avalon (said dash was damaged by these folks when they installed his GPS and further damaged by me (his son) when I tried to fix their sloppy work.)So my father released them to replace the dash while they were doing recall work on his boat motor. We come to pick up the boat and the $800 bill was 3K. Instead of replacing the dash as agreed they replaced the entire console and then they held my fathers boat hostage until he gave them a check. Great bunch of folks to do business with.

Got my boat towed in at closing time but owner forced us out of store and wouldnt let us have any gas. Just thought the kind and right thing to do would be to allow us to get a little gas instead of leaving 3 adults, 3 children, and a small dog stranded at your pier on a hot Sunday afternoon, especially since the doors were still open and you were still inside. If I could give a negative star I would.

The new pumps at the lake are awesome and the shaved ice is delicious.

Fairly rude folks. Love to scream over the PA system. Cash only with on site ATM. On water gas and actually a very fair $ per gallon. They will sell you a new boat, store and launch for a monthly fee and repair as needed but I dont use these services so no opinion. I do launch my boat here and they have rebuilt the pier this year. Extra charge for an additional vehicle to park too.

Decent boat ramp with plenty of parking. They have a gas pump on the water. The store only accepts cash, but they do have a ATM if you are willing to pay the transaction fee.

On-the-water fuel available. Ive been using Poor House Branch Marina for years. Theyve recently remodeled all the docks, and created a really nice place to launch watercraft, or fish from the docks.

Called and talked to a Lady about my pontoon with 75 Honda wouldnt run except high rpms. This was early July. Lady answered told me 105 per carb to fix. Has 4 carbs. She said bring it on and will check it out. Took it over and had a good conversation with Mike the owner. After these reviews I was looking for a huge bill. Called him couple times that week and Mike said they went thru the carbs and still not running correct. So we need to do it again and do a better job. That was Thursday. He called me on Saturday said it was ready. Was shocked to see a weeks work was under $700. He said he put $30 gas in it. Asked if he changed the oil, he said no, you didnt ask me to do that. Correct. Point is, he did what I asked, no more, no less, and at a very reasonable price. These are toys, not necessities. Pay to play. He started this place from a fish camp trailer park into a very nice marina. He is doing a lot of things right and making a living, not getting rich because he is putting it back in the business. Mike treated me much better than these other reviews show. Both visits were on a Saturday afternoon. Try that anywhere else. He had very reasonable explanations for all those negatives. Quit expecting handouts and freebies at others expense. Quit trying to run over people and pitch a fit if they wont let you. These are toys we adults like to play with. I will be back when i need any Honda outboard work. I wanted to run the boat some before I posted thus review. Runs great. Fun to ride the grandchildren on the pontoon.

Fun relaxing place to spend the day. Fishing is good most of the time, and the scenery is awsome!

What ever you do, stay away from this dealership. They are extremely rude and dishonest. I put a deposit down on a boat they had in stock and was told if for any reason i couldnt get the boat back, they would refund the deposit. When i had to back out of purchasing the boat for personal.reasons, they would not refund my deposit and was very rude about it. What ever you do, dont put a deposit down with them unless you are prepared to lose it. Now I have to take them to small claims to try to get me thousand dollars back.

They have all the pontoon boat you will ever need.

Ramp is in poor shape. It will be ok at full pool. Parking is limited and space around the ramp is cramped. Drinks are cold. Not a good choice for launching. Its basically just a boat dealership.

Should be called Piss Poor House MarinaVery rude and ripped us off.Toad in with problems possibly battery problems paid a 135$ battery to check it because they offered no help to jump or charge our battery.It wasnt the problem guy refused to take battery back so we are stuck with 135$ extra battery and need a 60$ starter.I would not recommend this place to anyone. Piss Poor customer service!!

My only complaint is that our pontoon, was that the boat was under powered at 50 horse power. Customet service was wonderful!

Rented a pontoon from them on Memorial Day Weekend, had a great time.

First off I want to say DO NOT GET YOUR BOAT SERVICED HERE! I took my sea doo in to get it worked on in mid may and was told it would be about a week before they could touch it. I never got a phone call with an update. I would have to call and pry to find out what was going on. Originally I was told it would cost $350 to have my carburetors rebuilt. Two months later and after spending $950 I am still stuck with a non running sea doo! Thank you Poor House Marina... you will never get a recommendation from me and I will make sure that no one I know ever sets foot on your property.

Awful customer service. As noted in previous reviews this guy is a total CONMAN. Charged me 240 to repair my trim which required 2 fuses and a solenoid touch up. Yelled at me to leave his store and to come back when I had the money.
