I love going here!! Best place to get hot pot materials and dumpling wrappers. Important to note that the expiration date you see on most imported Chinese foods is actually the date it was made, so unless it specifically says its the expiration date, it is not expired. Ive seen people comment on it but its just a difference in packaging between countries. Bonus tip, one of the workers told me all the fresh produce comes on Fridays. Anyway, I really love coming here.

Dont expect good customer service here, but dont expect it to be bad either. You can expect silence, and honestly, I like that. I like just saying hello and thank you when paying for my Chinese sauces and noodles. I cook Sichuan food frequently, and this places selection has never let me down. The place is always organized and the prices are wonderful.

Nihao has the basics and a bit more in terms of Asian food. The store isnt too big but its not really small either. They have some cool stuff. I like that they had plates and bowls you could buy in that traditional Chinese style. The prices were good too. The owners werent particularly friendly or talkative, but I think thats because they cant speak English very well. If theres something Asian food related you want, it probably is here, and for a good price.

They have all the essentials for most Asian cuisines. Great little place in a city with limited options for Asian groceries

I found a large variety of shelf stable foods and saw some refrigerated and frozen items in the back. Great variety of rice including sushi rice.

You can find some special Asia food here, like in this season mooncake, persimmon,Zizania latifolia,etc.

The people are nice and they have an awesome selection of stuff in such a tiny space! We go there all the time... were going to go again, too lol!

The best place to get fresh Asian (particularly Chinese) vegetables in Tallahassee! Also has a respectable selection of cooking sauces, frozen foods, and snacks; their plates and bowls are super cute! Its family-run, and the owners are very kind and hard-working.Im glad that a store like this exists in a small, not too culturally-diverse place like Tallahassee. As far as Im aware, Nihao Market is one of only 3 Asian groceries in Tallahassee. All three are small shops, cant compare them to the Asian groceries in the DC area or the SF Bay area. The Korean grocery further down West Tennessee St focuses on Korean groceries, this place focuses on Chinese groceries, and Lins market off of Appalachee Pkwy has more of a pan-Asian focus-- Ive seen Filipino and Japanese products there along with Chinese and Korean goods.

Helpful and friendly

Nice people. Not a whole lot of non-perishables but a varied selection. Also some fresh seafood and some fresh veggies. There were Asian customers there so its obviously a good place for finding stuff one wants for Asian cooking.

They had everything I went looking for and a few things I didnt even know I wanted!

This is one of the two larger Oriental/Asian markets Ive been to. They didnt quite have what I was looking for at the time (fresh lychee), however the cashier made a recommendation which I found was quite good (longan). He came across as polite which was nice. The place was fairly organized and the shelves were not to crowded. Interestingly I think most of the price tags and what not were done by hand? Go figure.

Biggest asian grocery store in town

Smelly, dirty store. Man at counter spoke no English at all. I understand it is an Asian market, but as a chef I was really looking forward to some of the hard to find ingredients, I just didnt know how to ask him. Found another across town much better options and cleaner store and friendly staff.

While the shop carries less-seen items like jellyfish and hotpot items, which are probably the only thing I would get from there, I really disliked the shop. The fresh food section doesnt seem that clean to me, and the way they display the items are kind of unhygienic. The food options arent that diverse except the mentioned items, and the price isnt really that great. The goods doesnt seem well sorted and it is hard to find things even though there is only few aisles. Unless you know what you need, I would not recommend this store. There are better Asian markets very close to this.

So happy I found this place right next to my house! They have a great variety of Asian food. Lots of fresh things as well! I found my favorite Jelly candy things here! Will shop here often.

I love this place. Im always wanting to try something new. Best place for Ramen on a budget. I just wish I knew some of the language to better read labels and to be courteous to the tellers.

Ive absolutely loved this place since it opened. It became my main grocery stop for fresh veggies and fish. Plus lots of hard to find cooking ingredients and sauces for Asian foods.

Not sure if this is a regular occurrence here but when I visited this store the couple that runs the place was having a major domestic dispute. They were yelling at each other and their children were crying. It was real awkward. I would never go back. If you want to go to a very nice Eastern Asian market I highly recommend Lynns Oriental Market.

This is a Chinese market, not an Asian market.There were Korean confectionery, tempura powder, flour, frozen food, and noodles. There were types of vegetables sold in Chinese markets. The vegetables were fresh when I visited on a Friday.
