So happy to find this place! Heard from coworker how good it was and upon entering the smell and ambiance was incredible. Great selection of wines and food menu is loaded with creative combinations. Ask about the specials as they did not disappoint. Even had a glass of wine with the owner Kent who explained it small family style business and explains the love you get on the plate.

Wonderful food, great service and intimate setting. This is a perfect choice for those wanting to relax and enjoy their meal without rushing through each course. Ryan is the sous-chef and creates the beautiful and amazing flavours you wouldnt expect in Tallahassee. Try to spot his hair bun behind the kitchen window. I have eaten every single dish at least once and they are all fantastic. Do not miss this place.

We were celebrating a special occasion, moving our daughter to FSU, and I chose Cluster and Hops for our last dinner with her before heading home based on proximity to the hotel, the menu, and these reviews. Wow, I am so glad I did! We had a wonderful dining experience and excellent service.Ordered the chefs special pot stickers - DIVINE. Then the truffle mac and cheese was literally the best Ive ever had. My daughter got the Dover Sole and loved it. My young son (a self named Root Beer Enthusiast) said the Root Beer Float was the best hed ever had and questioned the server about the source of root beer. Our server enthusiastically engaged in conversation with my son despite him being a kid and made my sons evening.Despite being understaffed (which so many restaurants are right now), the service was impeccable and the food was perfect. I cant thank Cluster and Hops enough for giving us such a great dinner to send our girl off to university.

Superb service, wonderful flavors, and beautiful presentation. Adore that the family is working together and we got to invest in that. Left a star out because the desert was lacking the same creative consistency as the meals. If you are looking for a rich meal with nice ambiance this is up your alley😏

The food is absolutely amazing. Flavors on top of flavors. Duck and ostrich entree is 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼. Not a bad dish available, all food has been top notch in both taste and presentation. Amazing wine selection, great beer selection, cheeses….Cory was a very good server, just as last time we were there. Don’t miss this place!

This is a wine and cheese bar but they have a full menu as well. They dont serve large parties so its a quiet and rather small place. Very intimate, a great place for special occasions. The food was exceptional. I had the Dover Sole and it was simply delicious. My wife had a filet mignon and she loved it. Its clear that this Chef is something special. We also sampled cheese from various countries, we really enjoyed the entire experience. I highly recommend this establishment if youre in or visiting Tallahassee.

Great food and wine! You’ll require patience, however it’s well worth it. Get a charcuterie. Ambiance is kinda different-it’s a small, dim wine and cheese shop with a few tables tucked here and there for dining.

A fancy wine and cheese resteraunt with entres you shouldnt sleep on. It is slightly pricey but it is more than worth it for what you get. The staff is also very friendly and extremely knowledgable of the wines and menu items. The atmosphere is very intimate and comfortable, with candle-lit tables and wine paraphernalia littering the entire store. I could not reccomend enough for special occasion or get together with old friends.

Great atmosphere - if it was 1994... We came in for dinner after a concert and thought it would be a good place for conversation and ambiance.Although our service was excellent and we had a good dinner, the atmosphere left something to be desired. From the looks of it this place opened in the early 90s and hasnt changed a bit since then - including the music choices :/As I write this Seal is jamming in the background and Im ready to go! This place is in desperate need of an update or at least a good dusting.Dinner was good - dessert subpar. Atmosphere makes this a place to miss. Wont be coming back.

Hidden away gem of Tallahassee, lunch is closed due to covid-19 however they have an eclectic selection of wines and such.

Ended up here after a softball game on a Saturday at lunchtime with 8 of us I was thinking we would wait forever. We were seated right away, and the server was great. Drinks and the appetizer were put in right away. I ordered a chicken, spinach, peppers and rice bowl. Hubby ordered the French dip sandwich. I hands down recommend the rice bowl, very good!!

If you want anything related to cheese or a well made simple meal, this place is awesome. They have tons of wine and their staff is really helpful.

Good hole in the wall. Try the White Truffle MacNCheese. Crack in a crock, baby!!!! Appetizer was very good: Oven Baked Lavosh. We did not have salad, so cannot comment on that. Entrees were all well prepared & very tasty: Pepper Crusted Filet Mignon Steak Diane and Parmesan Crusted Ostrich Filet & Sliced Duet Of Duck Breast.

My favorite place for a special night out, or for making a normal night feel special! Love the food and service, and the quaint setup of the dining area. We always hope they will have the bone marrow special!

I know I know, the decor is outdated. Clusters and Hops never disappoints. Sure they could update the place but as long as they never change their love of and perfection for food and wine, I wont mind a bit. The service at lunch is just as wonderful as it is during dinner.

Delicious hidden gem of Tallahassee! They are a very small establishment so getting there early is advisable. However lunch is equally as amazing as their dinner menu. They also have a small shop when you first walk in that sells wine and cheese too.

Ate here for the first time. Definitely wont be my last. The cheese plate was great. The Mac and cheese was a amazing. It should not be called that. We need to create a new designation. Romantic fabulous restaurant.

Fun fact, they also have lunch a few days a week. I didnt know and i had never been for lunch until today. Check out the amazing filet lunch I had for $13. The veggies on the side were perfect and not too heavy for a lunch at all. We also splurged for the cheese board because you cannot come here without getting cheese or wine or both.

My first cheese board was from here, and the caramelized goat cheese blew me away! Service was outstanding, as was the presentation and quality of the dishes. Decor is very laid back and relaxing. A very good spot if youre in the mood for a quiet drink and outstanding meal.

Well-prepared, classic French style cuisine (with an occasional fun ingredient like ostrich meat?!) in a delightfully dark, intimate environment. Long-time servers who know their stuff. Outstanding selection of wines. Always a quality experience, but dont expect it to be quick! Coming in ready to linger and share good company make this place shine.

Clusters and Hops is a must each time Im in Tally! This is one of my top 2 or 3 favorite restaurants anywhere! I was pleased that the have Ky. Bourbon Ale...it was amazing but very strong. I was a bit buzzed after 2. The mac and cheese has always been the go to appetizer but I wanted to try something different so I got the eggplant lavosh.

This is my forth visit. I went with a friend last Fry and we shared some appetizers: of course the mac & cheese and the quesadillas and they were sooo good! I had the tuna tartar which was beyond words, for taste & presentation and my friend had the chicken pizza which was also amazing and plenty of food! So I’ll be back soon!!

Cozy little nice place. You enter and find yourself in the rows of wine 🍷 We started with eggplant lavosh with truffle oil and goat 🐐 cheese 🧀 which was “very” delicious! Sole fish 🎣 and pork main dishes were tasty and beautifully decorated. The staff share the details of ingredients when they serve your dish.

Let me tell you something I went out to celebrate my promotion alone...I never felt more at home! The wine was good...the staff was knowledgeable about fancy wine and food. I had something I cant pronounce with eggplant. Im not kidding it was one of the best tasting meals Ive EVER had! A gem in Tallahasse! Weve been coming to Cluster and Hops for years and the chef and staff never disappoint. Exciting food with creative presentation. The duck breast salad is our favorite, but you cant go wrong with any dishes.

Tiny, quirky, no frills, a bit dusty and dark but interesting little shop and eatery with amazing food. Ive actually never ordered an entrée because the charcuterie board and escargot are so delicious, although I plan to try them all eventually. You can enjoy one of their many wine choices or a bottle you can choose from the shelves in the shop. You can also purchase various gourmet meats, cheeses, olives, quail eggs, etc. Places like this keep Tallahassee interesting and fun, and I always strive to support local businesses. I always look forward to returning to Clusters and Hops.

If I had to pick the top 5 best restaurants in town, this would be one of them. The entire dining experience is unlike any other in Tallahassee. When you walk in, you see a wine and cheese shop and you need to walk down one of the aisles to get to the dining room in back. Its like a secret, hidden gem. The menu is unpretentiously gourmet. If you go, I would HIGHLY recommend trying the truffle mac & cheese, it will change your life.

Food was good and the wine prices were decent. There were only 2 servers working (small place) and they were mediocre at best. Initially told us 1-1.5 hr wait for a table (I think they were trying to get us to leave) and ended up on being about 30 min. They wouldnt take our name down so we were forced to stand around wondering how long it would be for a table. May not return

I cant say enough good things about this place. My fiancé and I went here on a whim tonight and we were immediately enamored. We loved their sweet, homey space and the staff was beyond incredible. Our waiter was so kind and well educated. He took the time to explain all of our cheeses, our wine, and really made sure we stayed to enjoy what Clusters had to offer. Their crack in a pot Mac and Cheese made us cry. Its the most incredible Mac and Cheese we have ever had and youd be doing yourself an injustice by not visiting. Thanks Clusters for making us feel like family. 💕

I want to begin by saying that Cluster & Hops have some of the most extensive wine and cheese collection I have ever seen. I can confidently state that they have some of the best Italian and French wines I have had the pleasure to try.Additionally, the restaurant portion of C&E has some very high quality food with a menu that changes often, so I always leave it up to the server to surprise me with something new every time (have yet to be disappointed). The staff (and cook / owner) are friendly, professional and personable. The food and overall atmosphere is top notch. I will state, however, that they are fairly expensive. You are paying for quality service and food after all.Highly recommended!

Every dining experience has been wonderful! The food is so unique and thoughtful. The service is great and all employees are very knowledge and artful in their descriptions of each dish. I couldnt recommend a better place to eat in town. If you are looking for a quick bite, this is not the place. Be prepared to relax and indulge for at least an hour. The mac and cheese is a MUST! If I could give the 6 stars, I would.

Found this place on Google and was not disappointed. I thought I was in the wrong place when I walked in. It has the feel of a 100 year old book store that also sells wine and cooking oils. I ordered the duck pot stickers and kangaroo sliders. Each dish came with its own custom crafted vinaigrette, one with Sriracha and the other with chocolate.The whole meal was less than $30 and I cant believe they cooked up such fantastic plates in that tiny kitchen.These folks know what they are doing.

The restaurant is a little bit smaller. The atmosphere is really unique. You can pick a bottle of wine upon entering the restaurant. A lot of the wine and other items seem very dated and dusty. Anyways, the food and service was great.

I have recently been eating there for lunch because it is basically next door to my current place of employment and my car is in the shop. The food is fabulous and the service is great. I would prefer a smaller entree or salad or just something that will fill my stomach for a bit so I wouldnt be spending $16-17 anytime I want to have a quick bite for lunch. Unless you dont tip, youre not getting out of there without spending at least that. Really, that figure is a minimum. But, I cannot say anything negative about the service and the delicious food. If you want a good salad, try the buffalo chicken....yummy :)

Waited 17 minutes for a server to go to our table. We didnt even get water, while every table around us got more than one visit from the staff. If someone cares to know, someone in our party is black. We were all well dressed, so we just left to go to Wine Loft where our money was appreciated. No hard feelings, but well give our business to establishments that know how to treat everyone well.

Stay away with distinguished guests unless you want to be embarrassed for the attitude of their waiters.

My first time ever eating here was on 8/29/19 for lunch. I ordered the organic mixed greens salad with a pear vinaigrette. I also ordered the filet mignon. The salad was perfect including the portion size. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection and the meat melted in my mouth. For dessert I tasted the cheesecake which was delicious. The server was knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. I felt like I was eating in a cozy restaurant in south France.

There was a short wait when my friend and I went in for dinner, but we were seated in about 10 minutes.We sat down and ordered a cheese and charcuterie plate. Now, Im still not totally sure what cheeses we had because they werent labeled and they were all pretty different than any other cheeses Ive ever tasted, but let me tell you, Yelpies reading this review: get thee to Clusters & Hops for their cheese, immediately.The cheese flavors were bold, they were creamy, they were sharp, and they were heavenly.For my main dish I ordered the ostrich and duck and it was one of the best dishes Ive ever had in Tallahassee. Its definitely very decadent, but the ostrich and duck were both juicy and tender and cooked to perfection. I had vegetables with my meal and the vegetables were perfect.Price point is pretty steep for Tallahassee but the price is worth it for a nice night out.I would definitely try this place again.

The food was absolutely divine. I had the cheese platter as an appetizer and sliced duck breast as an entree. The cheese platter brought a lot of unique flavors from gouda to Asiago to goat cheese. And the duck was cooked perfectly - so tender and yet chewy enough to still be juicy.The atmosphere is very unique. From the front and as you first walk in, it only appears to be a wine and cheese shop, but in the back is the restaurant. I loved the fact that it was not flashy at all, but that it seemed to feel like you were walking into a chefs European kitchen. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Tallahassee. This is, by far, one of the restaurants at the top of my list, comparable to those I visited in Europe.

Says Open 11:31a.m. Sat -- but no one there even at 11:50a.m. And if you EAT there be prepared for some of the worst service in Tallahassee..to them its a joke to serve someone else who came in AFTER you -- it wasnt to us.

Great food! Best time to show up on Fridays is NLT 530 pm. Food has a lot of subtle flavor, pricey, though. The Tuna steak was great, recommend having the maple soy ponzu on the side. Maple is sweet and will mask several other flavors in the dish. Great table Reisling

One of the best places to eat in Tallahassee. The sliders with blue cheese, foie gras and truffles that I tried were just amazing. They also have great wine selection. The place itself is very quiet and relaxing. The only downside it the price.
