They recovered me from a bad drive at a great price, installing something better than I had before with a better warranty. 5 stars isnt enough. They even let me remain after closing so that they could pull a few files that were missed in the initial pull. These guys will take care of your tech.

Dishonest. They overcharge every chance they get. I had to question the guy on why I was being overcharged and he said oh I included a 1 year warranty on your products if anything goes wrong. Just a shady guy who takes advantage of peoples lack of knowledge in computers because it is the only local shop.

I was having so many troubles with my desktop. I brought it in on a Thursday- and by Sunday I had a new hard drive & updated to windows 10 and now everything is working better than ever!My only regret was I should have done it sooner, it would have made my life easier!Super helpful, communication was easy and the price was fair! I have been using MIT for 7 years and I couldn’t be happier with their service. The service plan is a bargain and well worth the annual fee. They have helped us with viruses, hardware failures and upgrades. Just great service at a reasonable price.

Definitely do not recommend this place. STAY FAR AWAY. My screen was white (video display was messed up, which is a VERY easy fix) and hinges on laptop were broke. Whenver I took the laptop up to him to look at he purposely shut it very hard breaking the hinges more. A few days later when they called back to tell me what was wrong, all they said was “your laptop fell into pieces when we took it apart and we can’t put it back together”. He asked if I wanted to pay $150 to transfer the data off hard drive and when I said “no” he got upset and said I could come get my laptop the next day and it will all be in a box with all of the pieces.

These guys are Awesome. I have been coming here since they opened several years ago. I enrolled in their yearly individual tech maintenance plan that covers any 3 computers for $199 which works great for me since I have more than 3 laptops in my family. They have also upgraded several pf my computers to solid state drive. What a difference!! I recommend MIT Computers without hesitation.

My husband and I have found the MIT tech club to be a great value and weve rejoined 2 years in a row. Invariably we have more than one computer problem a year when we have to drop a machine off to be fixed and it saves us a lot of money. Today I came in with 2 problems with my MAC and Wilfredo patiently fixed these for me while I had the opportunity to watch. Great service! Rex explained all of my options and possible issues with my computers. He is obviously extremely knowledgeable in his field. My computer was fixed within hours and for a great price. The Tech Club is the best deal that I have found. I had checked prices with other companies to wipe out the computer and reinstall the operating system and those prices were equal to or higher than the Tech Club to service my computer for this issue only. Now I have an entire year of service for free on 3 computers! In fact, I dropped off my older computer when I picked this one up. Excellent and highly recommended company!

MIT needs to take classes in customer service and change some policies. I took mu iPad for repair after the glass cracked. They changed it and when I arrived at home the left side of the iPad didnt respond. Could not click on apps or open anything on the left side of the screen. I took it back 2 days later only to be told that since I did not purchase a warranty, they could not assist me in any way. I, unfortunately had to take the iPad to another shop who found that the digitizer and LCD were damaged. I then had to pay for these repairs again. Horrible service, horrible customer service! I would never go there again or send anyone to them.

MIT Computers transferred all my files (Word, Excel, e-mails, pictures, etc.) from an 8-year old laptop to my new laptop. Since Im self-employed, time & accuracy were of the essence. My first experience at MIT was having my fiancée screen replaced for her laptop. Walter kept me informed the entire time the laptop was being repaired. My motherboard recently went on my main desktop computer. They were friendly and efficient in getting back to me with their diagnosis and recommendations. I opted to get a new PC build which was an additional $125 more than my repair estimate and I love the new computer.I also used them to diagnosis a water damage issue with an iPhone 6.Walter and Wilfredo were very good to deal with and I would highly recommend this store location.

This is the closest iPhone repair shop to my sons apartment. Given the name of the company, I called in advance to make sure they did iPhone repairs. Once it was confirmed they repaired iPhones, we went in to the store on a Saturday. My son had thoroughly researched the issue he was having with his phone on the web in advance of going to the store. The phone was suffering from a boot loop issue in addition to cracks on the screen and we indicated we thought it may need a new battery and possibly more. The person who helped us was courteous and attentive so when we were told there would be a $40 diagnostic fee which would be credited against the repair, we decided to have them check it out. They were supposed to contact us by Tuesday. We had not heard anything by Thursday so I called them. They told us they had tried to call us several times but there were no record of any calls. We were told the phone needed a new battery and a new logic board, the latter of which is an extremely costly repair so they recommended we purchase a new phone instead of spending the $ to get it repaired. My initial review was not a good one so they called us to discuss the review. Upon further discussion, we determined the major issues we had with the service were the result of a misunderstanding. Even so, MIT Computers offered to return our diagnostic fee if we were still disappointed in the service. However, we determined this was not necessary as the service we hired them for was performed to our satisfaction.

Went in first thing this morning with my sons computer because it was completely non-functional due to a computer virus. Rex was very helpful; promising its repair and return by the end of the day, which is a great turn-around especially with it being a Friday. Price for services was competitive, and Rex was courteous and professional. I would recommend MIT and Rex to others in a similar situation.

TL;DR: They wasted my time and gas with a smile.***I FIND IT VERY SUSPECT THAT NEARLY EVERY 5 STAR REVIEW IS BY SOMEONE WHO HAS ONLY SUBMITTED ONE REVIEW...I called ahead asking if they carried a computer part I needed. The gentleman said he did so I drove out to the store. When I got there he showed me that what he had might not be what I need. Not a problem, mistakes happen. He was happy to sell me the part anyway but he insisted no refunds. This is what bothered me. He couldnt offer me a refund for a USED part after bringing me to his shop for nothing. I think making an exception would be a nice middle ground. But he wouldnt budge. He lost a customer at the possibility of having to return $9.On my way out to the store I was pretty happy I could give my service to a local business instead of shopping online. True story. But I left the MIT Computers thinking this is one business that deserves to go under. Service is all local businesses has to offer over the online retailers. These guys tragically missed the memo.

Unfortunately the motherboard on my laptop had died, but the gentleman at MIT offered me a much better refurbished laptop (with a 60 day warranty) for the same cost a new motherboard would have cost for my six year old laptop. They transferred all my data to the new laptop and I was all set. Highly recommended!
