These guys are the best! Dani was able to give me a fair price, and fast turnaround times on a rear custom drive shaft and rebuild the front drive shaft on my XJ. No more vibration and my Jeep rides perfect! I won’t go anywhere else to have drive shafts done! I definitely recommend them!

I own a Tow truck and was told by Dan that my drive shats needed replacing.Not a problem, but after completing the job, they have failed to do it correctly. As soon as I went back to correct the problem, the first thing they say is that there is something else wrong with my truck. Hmm .. I told him to check my truck again and he did. He didnt want to, but he did..As soon as he gets under y truck he found a mistake that they put the shift together unalaigned. Also they put the u-joints in backwards.The truck is still vibrating and I will take it somewhere else to correct their mistake . I will bring them proof of the poor workmanship they do at Universal Driveshfts.They are nice guys, but do not know much about trucks.Sorry to write this review, but I spent a lot of money and will have to do it again at another company that will step up and fix the problem and not blame myvtruck.

I would like to write about my experience with Universal driveshafts. 98 4runner 4x4, 280k original miles. She developed a noticeable vibration @ 70-75 mph when on the gas. Now a squeak when in reverse. Google Squeak in reverse 4Runner/Tocoma. This is common. Yes my U joints were toast I originally settled for a Tom Woods driveshaft. Unfortunately the rear flange was on back order til the end of the month or maybe longer (66mm spacing). 2 other local shops did not want to rebuild my oem Cardan Joint. Danny happen to stock the correct flange and is familiar with rebuilding 4Runner driveshafts. We opted to remove the front Cardan Joint for a single set up since Im not lifting the truck. Danny made me a new custom driveshaft that same day! After delivery I did have a vibration/hum between >60 mph. Brought her back to the shop, Danny took the time to explain the issue and fixed it. Interestingly enough the front end shake I knowingly have is GREATLY diminished. I guess the original oscillating U-Joints amplified my front end shake at 70-75 mph. Today I learned, if the front shakes...its not always the front end suspension. FYI, for good measure replace your U-joints before tackling front end vibrations! Youll be surprised at the difference. Now I can confidently replace the original front end bushing and ball joints! Thank you Danny for your professionalism and for fixing my truck!

After 3 shops and a few thousand dollarsUniversal drive fix my truck and it lasted more than a day. Actually a few weeks now.But the other garages, it would break my carrier bearing the next day.Universal Drive shaft is the best in Central Florida for sure.

Got a custom aluminum driveshaft built, in house, by them. Very rough, visually unpleasant welds. Extremely out of balance at highway speeds, had to remove to rebalance. No-name u-joints. They reuse some of your old drive shaft parts which is odd.... I was expecting to get a 100% all new shaft for what I was charged. They $$$ extra to remove and install the driveshafts [10 minute-4 bolt job for fifty bux is not reasonable] . Good customer service though [they talk the talk] and they get on the job fast. If youre looking for a shaft for your daily driver this is the place. If your looking for a showroom, top quality shaft I would look for a different shop.

I have 7 driveshaft done by them for both of my mud trucks! and the workmamship is awesome! i am a fabricator amd i build mud trucks and i know when i see good work one time it was half inch too long which was miscommunication but they say no worries without arguement! ! no attitude! they got it done when they say ao! i been to alot places it a disaster even by looking inside of their shops!

Wonderful people!!I came all the way from ft Myers where I was told we cant weld no aluminum drive shaft by two separate drive shaft shops.Modi cut, welded, balanced, cleaned, replaced 2 u joints and painted my drive shaft while I waited. In less than an hour!! So I wouldnt have to make the 2 hour trip to pick it up. After reading the reviews here on Google, I drove the 1 hour drive from Winter Haven to Tampa to have my drive shaft extended since the truck had a lift kit, and these gentlemen exceeded my expectations. They custom built my driveshaft with high quality parts and didnt hesitate to explain the process. The service was prompt, professional and they were very down to earth people. A long overdue review but a recommendation to someone reminded me I needed to post. I had a driveshaft custom made for an Isuzu Im building. Isuzus arent very common, but Modi identified it as such immediately much to my surprise. The driveshaft was completed ahead of schedule and fit perfectly. These guys did an amazing job for me I broke my carrier bearing in the drive shaft in a 2010 f150 and I had to travel from Florida to Arkansas the next morning in 2010 Ford did not make a serviceable bearing and wanted $1000.00 to replace the whole the thing they stayed on a Saturday night till 9 pm and built me a custom drive shaft that IS NOW serviceable and I made my drive there the next and back without a single issue I highly recommend these guys Modi is very talented at what he does and Sam was awesome helping him and talking with me. I’m a hard working musician and I drive all over Florida up to Georgia etc. I heard about Universal Driveshafts from a friend who sent me the link on Facebook and they weren’t open yet but I was in touch through messaging and finally I had the privilege to receive a message from them. My 4Runner was shaking and would mess up my u-joints, they explained what was going on and told me what they could do and they fixed the problem, I am so satisfied with the work they did and I recommend them 100%. This business is the most professional business I have spoken to in awhile. I have been speaking with Mike since June 2019 when my driveshaft broke and every call was answered professional and my questions were answered very professional also even in May of 2020 when I took my driveshaft there for the work to be done. I would rate this business higher than 5 stars but goggle only allows 5. I have a 3500 Dodge Ram DRW 4WD truck that they repaired and rebuilt my 2 piece drive shaft. I had a competitor rebuild it and both times I left with a driveline vibration. The guys at Universal Drive Shaft fixed my issue the first time and also repaired the work from previous shop. Quality of work is unmatched and they stand behind their work which is hard to find with business today.

I have a TJ Wrangler in need of a new front drive shaft. I came in with my heavy duty shaft that needed quite a bit of work done to it. I ended up buying a new one from them. So far so good, gladly driving down the road without vibrations.

Boy was I glad to found this place. I have a 1993 Suburban that had a bowed driveshaft on it (another story). I looked for 4 months for a serviceable used shaft and could not find one. Moody and Justin were great to do business with. I had my new driveshaft installed, but then I heard some rattling coming from the bottom of the car two days after the install. Mike told me to come back up to the shop and they will diagnose the problem. After lifting the car back up, we realized the heat shield bolts were loose from removing the old driveshaft, so the shield plate was touching the exhaust. Justin tightened everything back up and I havent had an issue since. Thank you for everything guys!

These guys are awesome! Very knowledgeable and excellent customer service. I have a ford fl50 that use to vibrate when ever I got up to 65-70 mph. The specialist diagnosed me driveshaft pretty quickly and showed me that I had a wobble in U bolts. They provided me with upfront pricing before any repairs were made, which was also quite reasonable. I definitely recommend this shoo if you need any work done to your driveshafts!!! 👍

I then went on the internet and found the drive shaft, but it was really expensive and 4 day shipping. I ended up doing another local search and lucked out and called Universal Drive Shaft. I talked to Sam, he was very professional and proficient to my needs and request of my endeavors. I took my driveshaft to get it lengthened, louis gave me a price then called the next day to say my joints were wore out. price rose $75, they do good work but they told me my u-joints were wore out. they were not, i just had them changed but they had my shaft and i needed it back. i told louis, who is a very nice guy, i would never go there again. i have the joints that he gave me back. i will show them to anyone because they look new, not wore out. sad that they sold me 2 joints that i did not need. i challenge anyone to look at the joints.
