I’m very unhappy with a $500.00 purchase I made for my sons birthday, I purchase ear rings that kept breaking my sons ear out when I took it to the store they cleaned it and said it was fine. I had to take the ear rings out because my sons ear kept breaking out, I tried wearing the earrings myself but I also had a negative reaction to them. The ear rings just sit on my dresser and I forgot about them When I took them back to the store they stated that it could not be returned because it had been past 30 days, it sucks because I wasted my hard earned money on something that I can’t use and they refused to accommodate me. The manager said that he could not resell the earrings and he can give me some money back but it would not be nowhere near what I paid for them, I will definitely be letting people know to not visit this place their jewelry is not real and they will no longer be getting my money.

My husband Neil and I celebrated our wedding anniversary last week. Part of our celebration included gift-giving, and my gifts were in the form of jewelry. Neil had gone to Shalimars, in a last-minute quandary AND with less money saved than hed intended. Nonetheless, Rick apparently felt his plight and helped him out with a lovely chain necklace, medallion pendant and a gorgeous pair of hoop earrings that was affordable for his budget. While shopping, Neil had problems deciding between the medallion or a crucifix, but Rick explained to him that if the medallion wasnt a hit, it could be returned and exchanged for a crucifix of equal value (weight).After giving me my gift, he told me hed been on the fence regarding the medallion/crucifix choice. We decided that the cross would be a better option and three days later, we returned to the store and met with Rick and Shirley. They obviously remembered my husband from prior visits. After comparing the weights of my medallion and the crucifix in question, we were able to secure a straight exchange.I can only say good things about the staff and their demeanor with customers; they have been kind, courteous and their inventory seems to be of the highest quality. I give Rick and Shirley accolades and high praise regarding their attention to us this afternoon. On Saturday June 12, 2021, I went in to purchase a 26-inch 7 mm 10K Miami Cuban link chain. After discussing the purchase with Jose, he let me know I could have it for $4,000, or if I came back with cash the price would be lower. I told him that I had to get the cash from the bank as I didn’t carry that much cash around Westshore Plaza, so we agreed I would be back on Monday. On Monday June 14, I returned to purchase the chain. Jose told me that the price for the chain was $5,000. I left due to the fact that I wasn’t going to pay $1,000 more for the chain than was quoted. I returned on Tuesday June 15 to see what a different sales associate would do. After multiple discussions between the four employees, the sales associate told me he thought the $5,000 was a good price, but he would give it to me for $4,500. Due to the price increase, I left without purchasing the chain and left a review.After leaving the review on Wednesday, Rishi the owner reached out to discuss the situation with me. From the conversation between Rishi and myself and ones between Rishi and the sales associate, it was determined that the sales associate had offered a price that was lower than the allowed price trying to get a sale on Saturday. On Monday, the sales associate tried to hide that he had made the original offer so he didn’t get in trouble, which is why the price had changed to the lowest allowed price. After learning about what had happened, Rishi was quick to offer me the chain at the price agreed to on Saturday and apologized for the situation.I have purchased multiple items from Shalimar Custom Jewelers and this is the only time that I have had any issues, and Rishi was extremely quick to resolve them. I would recommend purchasing from this store.

Purchased a charm here a couple months back it fell apart within the first month of having it,Ive only wore it a handful of times so theres no way this should be happening I took it back they fixed it with no problem and did a terrible job so I left it there for them to fix it properly because there was glue every where,they realized who ever fixed it did a poor job so they apologized and offered to fix it right the 2nd time I left it there for over 2 weeks and never received a phone call so I decided to pop up because I was already doing some shopping at the mall and when I arrived they told me the charm was completed, it looked better then before but I can tell it was going to fall apart again the guy assured me that Shalimar stands by there work and if there was a problem to bring it back and they will take care of it so I left....later on that day the charm fell apart again so I called the store immediately I asked them what can we do to resolve this issue and he said bring it back they will fix I offered the store to let me take it somewhere else to fix it and I will bring them a receipt and they can reimburse me because Im not sure the guy repairing the charm is not so great at repairing jewelry, he said no bring it back, so I will be returning for my 4th visit and hopefully it works out but I feel the store should have some empathy towards the customer I dont even live in Tampa and Im traveling over an hour one way and I have already been here multiple times I have purchased other pieces here but after this never again 👋🏽✌🏽

I had an antique ring redone here. It used to have a diamond but once that fell out I decided I wanted a sapphire. Rishi helped us pick out a setting and select the right stone for size and shape and color. The finished result is beautiful. And it was reasonably priced. I have been here twice now, the first was for a simple sapphire necklace. And I’ll be coming back again in the future.

These guys were great! I was looking for a gold crescent moon to gift my wife for her birthday. I needed in 2 days only problem was they didn’t have it. So I let him know my budget and they worked with me to get a custom piece made. This store is an awesome store first and foremost. The manager always takes care of us and theyre not afraid to give DEEP discounts on their products. My wife and I also just traded in the wedding rings we bought from them a year and a half ago for upgraded rings and they were very fair about how much they gave us for the trade-ins. Before you purchase anything for from Shalimar jewelry store make sure you take the time to read all the reviews. I wish I had taken the time to do so myself. Received a heart bracelet for Valentine’s Day, after wearing it for one only day I knew there was a problem with this piece of jewelry. This should’ve been a very special Valentine’s Day and special moment but unfortunately it was very disappointing that I could not continue wearing this heart bracelet. I realized upon the next day that I needed to take it off because pieces of it were so fragile that it kept bending and twisting and was so poorly made I don’t understand how a Shalimar jewelry store located at Westshore mall could have the The conscience to sell this to a customer. Went back to the store my boyfriend was told that he could not exchange it or get his money back for this heart bracelet he was offered a discount to purchase something else but was not offered to get his money back for the heart bracelet that was absolutely the worst made supposedly 14 karat heart bracelet. At this point in time I called the store and spoke with the manager the same one that spoke to my boyfriend in regards to the bracelet and voice my concerns which seem not to matter at all he said “what am I going to get out of this” I told him I was willing to buy something much better much stronger and hopefully gold not something that was made so poorly he was so not willing to do that he was so insistent as to tell me “well what am I going to get out of the deal” this I was so surprised that he was not willing to give back what was paid for the 14 karat gold (if it’s real gold) bracelet and let me purchase something else I always thought the customer would come first but obviously not in this case so consumers be where this has been a horrible horrible experience and what a shame that they do not want to make it right they’re all about themselves and not the customers shame shame on you guys.

This Shalimar is in a wonderful location wonderful selection, but the staffing? Terrible. One of the managers, Jitu made me feel beyond uncomfortable about being in this store. Hands Down Best Jewelry Store In The City, Quality Pieces, Excellent Customer Service

Working with Shalimar Custom Jewelers has been nothing but a pleasure. My son is planning on getting engaged. Having a family diamond, he needed only the perfect mount. Having no time, working two jobs, he decided to buy online. Turns out, most online jewelers will not sell mounts only, one has to purchase both diamond and setting together. He finally found the mount he wanted on the site of a national jewelry retailer and got the setting. The next hurdle was having the stone set and the ring sized...without having to leave it.Having had a precious stone switched by a well known Boston jeweler, I was not willing to let the diamond out of my sight. A friend said, Look at the Westshore Plaza, there is a jeweler there that does the work on premises. I checked out the mall website and Shalimar advertised, sales, repair and specifically to my need, stone setting. I emailed and to my surprise, received an answer immediately, that yes, we could watch the ring be set and sized right through the window.A lovely young woman, Jayshree, emailed me back and forth as I, always leery of jewelers, reiterated what I wanted, the prices she quoted, which by the way, were more than reasonable, and today, we brought home a beautiful ring for my son to give to his girlfriend.Jayshree was immediate and personable in her communication; in person, she was just as congenial, genuine and accommodating. In fact, every person in that store was friendly and accommodating, including the gentleman who actually did the work. We watched him through the entire process, he even weighed the diamond and checked the cut, as the only appraisals I have were when it was in the setting.My advice to my son and soon to be fiancee will be to go back to Shalimar for their wedding bands. Personally, I have multiple lose gemstones needing to be set and gifted to my children. As far as I am concerned, I will only be using Shalimar for this and any jewelry repairs in the future.

Terrible place for repair!!! 5 trips to pick up a watch, that needed a battery and a small stem. Was suppose to be done in 2 weeks. Its been 19 days today. Saturday we were told, we wont be charged for the battery, today we still paid 20$. So not going back there ever!

I bought a set of rings for me and my wife, it took them 3 times to get it sized right for my wifes ring, they tryed twice with my ring, they didnt get it, i picked up the rings because we were getting married on saturday, i notice my ring was still loose, they told me to take it for the wedding and bring it back to get sized due to the fact that it wouldnt had been sized in time. I call vee which is one of the workers their and she told me that i would of had to pay $25 for them to size it up again which would be the 3rd time!!!! Its their mistake for not getting the ring sized correctly and want me to pay for their mistake, when i paid over a $1000 for my rings .BASICALLY BAD BUSSINESS WOULDNT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE

I first stumbled upon Shalimar when I needed to have the posts on my diamond earrings shortened. I went to 3 well known jewelry stores in the mall...one of which seemed to have no idea what I was talking about. The other two said they could do it but they would need to send my earrings offsite and would charge me $100+. I walked past Shalimar and spotted Rishi at the counter. I asked him how long it would take his jeweler and he told me he could do it right then if I could wait 15 minutes. On top of that, he charged me less than half of what I was quoted by the other jewelers. I have taken several other pieces of jewelry to Rishi for repair/maintenance since that day. His onsite jeweler really knows his stuff. Recently my boyfriend had Rishi build a ring for me. No matter what you are looking for, I would be shocked if Shalimar couldnt get it or design it for you. Besides whats in their jewelry cases, they have stacks of books you can look through to find exactly what you want. Rishi and his staff are super friendly and professional! Its also a no pressure environment. They truly just want to give you a great product at a great price and make a customer for life. I would, and have, recommended Shalimar to anyone looking for a quality piece of jewelry!!
