I dropped off my mower over 3 months ago, it was having issues with the gas keeping the motor running. They kept pushing me off saying my part wasn’t there for a month but In actuality they hadn’t even ordered it . I found that out when I spoke to the mechanic, then once the part came in I had to take time out my schedule to go sit up there and babysit more then half of the day because they were trying to push my mower to the back of the line like it just came in. While doing so me and the manager talked and he took several calls while we were talking and I heard him lie to his other customers just like he lied to me. His word does not mean anything. They still didn’t fix my mower that day so I waited another week still got no word back from them, went back up there almost two weeks later just to hear more lies. Now today it’s been over 3 months no one still can tell me what’s wrong with the mower now they are telling me it need a new mower and it only has 23hrs on it, so I decided to go pick up my mower and take it to another shop. This is the worse mower shop I have been to in tampa
I dont write reviews normally, but for this company, Ill make the exception, others should be warned. My son-in-law brought a used Dixie Chopper, $6500 +, he has nothing but problems with it. The machine was never gone through before it was sold. We returned it after the first three attempts to mow the field, each time it died, turns out, bad alternator - 5 WEEKS for them to repair!! Now this pass weekend, clogged fuel filter. These problems should have been dealt with before the machine was sold. Zack dealt with Bill, and got no help from this guy. Dont walk away - RUN. If youre a one and done customer, this place doesnt care how they treat you, Im sure they dont treat their commercial accounts this way. Bill never even offered an apology for all the troubles we have had.I wouldnt buy a boat anchor from this place!
Below average customer service. Overall lack of equipment knowledge amongst sales team. Slow turn around on parts orders and repairs. Maybe alright shop to buy a new mower off the floor but good luck getting help after that. Dont spend $15k over several months hoping your next experience there will be better. Skip the headache and go to Grass pro shop nearby.
One of the worst experiences I have had. Please save yourself the headache and find somewhere else to do business. The parts guys, if not successful in ordering parts, were polite. The Owner/Manager Bill on the other hand was a perfect combination of rude and incompetent. I feel bad the parts guys have to be trained by and work under him.
Bill is an Excellent Customer Oriented Business Owner. I’m extremely happy an proud to have met him an his Father an Bill’s sons (that says a lot that Bills family works with him). I Bought a Bad Boy MZ Magnum 54in 726cc zero turn mower. This is the first zero turn mower I’ve ever owned I’m extremely pleased with it’s performance and even more appreciative of the value of the machine for the price that I paid. Thanks Bill
Tried to order parts for my Yanmar tractor. Originally placed the order for the parts on June 26th. Cutter didnt put the order in to Yanmar until July 4th (after the run around the boys at the counter, who were polite, admitted they didnt know how to use the parts ordering system which caused the delay - not a good excuse but explains some things). After SEVERAL calls to both Yanmar and Cutter during this nearly three week delay Yanmar said the parts arrived at Cutter Monday the 9th. Cutter was convinced the parts werent there. We eventually made the hour drive to talk to somebody in person. When we got there one of the boys did go look for our parts - and found them - surprise! Obviously nobody bothered to look.The worst part - tried to speak to the manager/owner (Bill) after about our experience hoping maybe the person in charge of the business would care enough about his customers to make changes for future orders. Apparently Yanmar had expressed frustration towards him. When we asked if he knew about the situation he immediately got fired up, said we put him in a bad position with Yanmar and he didnt want to spend one minute of his time talking about it. He then walked into his office and closed the door. What a way to do business. Unfortunately I believe Bill is the owner. If he was the manager and he treated customers that way he would be fired in no time. Thats how businesses fail.

Literally worst mower shop service Ive ever incountered. They had me wait 6 days for a part to come in. When it came in it was the wrong part, so they did not call me to tell me it was the wrong part and they did not order the right one. So on the 7th day I called them and they say yes it got here yesterday. But its not the right one, so we can order it and itll be here tomorrow. Why in the world would they have me waiting 6 days for a part that is the wrong part and now they can get the right part the next day?? Not only that their first impression to me they said they carry Scag mowers but do not carry Scag Parts?? Never heard of that before. So I drive 45 minutes 7 days later. Im there five minutes before they close and they meet me at the door. Dont even let me inside. And when I asked him if I can get some Hydro fluid as well they say can you do it tomorrow? Cuz were trying to get out of here. You are a mower shop that a lot of other companies are depending on you. You should be open every minute that your sign says you will be open. They have very unprofessional workers and work ethics. I will never ever go to these people again

Well i lost the nut needed for my weedwhacker and i went to grass pro shops and they said they wouldnt have the part today so they said to go to Cutter and i did. I ordered the nut and was told 2 to 3 day shipping. Went in today because 2 weeks has passed by and i was ready to get in a argument over this situation and i was surprised how they handled it. The worker in the front said if i dont have the nut ill just go take it out of the new ones bag and replace it later and that is what he did. So basically if they had the nut in the time period they said it was going to be there i wouldve gave them 5 stars. Nice people might need to stay on them to get parts and always do your reasearch before going in.

The other staff I worked with was helpful and they got me on my way quickly while still making sure I was knowledgeable with my new machine. Will continue to do business with Cutter in the future.
Recently went inside and spoke with “Frankie the mechanic.” He was phenomenal and offered great advice including his customer service skills. I will definitely be returning for Frankie and Billy. Frankie was able to get my 1976 Mower up and running in no time thanks to a little TLC. Really appreciate the assistance now I can get back to cutting the strip by my mailbox!
I had a very good experience with Cutter Power. I dealt with Bill the owner. After analyzing my specific needs Bill recommended a used machine that was very similar to the one I was trading in with a busted head. This was at a great savings over purchasing a new machine, so I was appreciative of this recommendation. They delivered the mower to my house. After mowing with it, I discovered it had a radiator leak and a bad pulley on the deck (these items would have been difficult for them to discover with a quick test, it wasnt until I had mowed for over an hour that these issues became apparent). Cutter Power came back out to pick up the machine, they fully repaired it, and redelivered it to my house. I was nervous after initially receiving a used mower with a radiator leak but Bill stood behind his sale and had it completely fixed to my satisfaction. Personally, I thank Cutter Power for the experience.
Mike is one of the best mechanic I could ever have!! To do the work on my dixie chopper classic he had my mower fixed in less than three days and he had to wait two days for the part to come in Mike is truly the best and I wanted to thank you for everything. RUN FROM THIS PLACE AND SAFE YOUR MONEY AND SANITY.....After my father purchased a Dixie Chopper that he was told was full “0” turn, finds out then it’s hydro. Nothing like he wanted . The owner “BILL” over several occasions has repeatedly lied to my father about fixing it and making it right. This has been going on over a year, after being told that it was finally fixed and silky smooth we went to pick it up . After testing it and seeing that it was exactly the same or worst, my father asked now what are we gonna do to make this right ? The answer was from Bill that his life isn’t going to be consumed by worrying about this REALLY nice customer service . Along with abusive words from him and his son the counter boy on a 73 year old man . This place is not what anyone should have to deal with ......
You would think that calling to buy a belt would be easy, oh no, the kid couldnt find the belt from a model number? Finally tells me to bring it in to match it.Went on line and got it in 10 minutes.All a business has to offer in service, you can buy anywhere.
Prices are actually better than competitors and customer service is great. Upfront with pricing and labor involved. No gouging, no commission sales. Overall a good experience each time I walk through their doors. They take pride in their showroom and keep things neat and ready to roll out.

Bought a hustler zero turn like 4 months ago from them. Belt threw off the deck pulleys 4 times, tearing the belt apart. Brought the lawn mower in so they could check the pulleys said they all looked good, must of been a stretched out belt. Charged me $160.00 For a new belt that wasnt even my fault. Its a brand new mower and I had to buy a belt already. Sounds like they like ripping people off!

I have never posted a review for a place, but after my recent trip I felt inclined to. I recently bought a Stihl trimmer from Cutter Power Equipment after comparing different brands. Cutters pricing beat other stores by $20 and their showroom is clean and organized, their service is friendly and knowledgeable. Ill definitely be recommending to friends and family to purchase equipment from there. Their location and lack of curb appeal will throw you off a little, but once inside you will be pleasantly surprised.

Bill the owner is a scammer. He will try to tell you something is wrong with your mower when really its a simple fix. The staff is wonderful people but they are way overpriced and as far as the owner its all about him putting that dollar in his own pocket. Grass pro is for the people and their prices are very reasonable and not to mention their tech support and mechanics are very very smart.
Not sure whats happened in the past two years but service is definitely not their forte. Took my blades to be sharpened, was told they would be ready in a couple of days. My wife went to get them almost a week later and they had not been touched. Now I needed service on my Dixie Chopper and I called before I took itDo I need an appt? No just bring it in. I called five days later to check on it and no it was not done. I called them 2 days later and they said there were 6 units in front of me. I again stated I was told I didnt need an appt. I told them I would be in 2 days later (now a total of 7 days that the business was open) to pick it up because I needed it. When I got there today they asked if they called me. No. Wanted to jump on an oil change right then and have me bring it back.I dont think so. Lost my business.

I’ve visited this location a few times and always noticed a great deal of disorganization. The service requested is doubtful to be completed as requested. I visited this place because it was referenced as a Snapper dealer however they are not a certified dealer. They didn’t have appropriate parts and only fixed what they could. It should have been the first thing out of their mouths when I dropped it off. I don’t recommend this place nor will o visit in the future.

Run, dont walk from this place. The owner is a scammer. My commercial ZTR mower was stolen while it was being serviced here, and the owner refused to file an insurance claim -- because he didnt want to pay his deductible. The police notified me of the theft -- not the owner. Bill Antala didnt care that it was $1000s of dollars out of my pocket, as long as it wasnt out of his. Thats the way he does business. Public reports show there have been other break-ins here. Dixie Chopper also didnt respond, so to avoid a hardship, find another dealer and another brand.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Horrible Customer Service! Bill the owner is not a man of his word. My mower needed a new motor, and Bill hired a incompetent mechanic to do the motor install. Bill and his business cost me an extra $600 from another lawn maintenance company to fix the problems that his mechanics caused. And when I brought the invoices back to him to address the issue I could not get a hold of him because he was in “meetings”. When I finally did talk to him face to face, he told me that he was not going to reimburse me for the extra $600 of problems his mechanics caused. Avoid this place at all costs! Go to Choo Choo Lawn Equipment, or Waller’s in Plant City.
