Great place to spend an afternoon browsing, reading, and relaxing. Wish more places like this still existed
Such a cute place with a wide variety. Prices on childrens books are very reasonable.
Friendly, competent staff.Willing to special order any book. Prompt arrival.
This place closes at 5. Beware the 5:05 open door trap. There is a nice way to ask people to leave and a rude way. Looks like it could be a cool bookstore though.
I give this bookstore one star. My daughter and I wanted to buy a specific book and while we were asking if they had it, the lady at the counter interrupted us to let us know they were closed. It was 4:55 pm and the posted close time was 5:00 pm. After I clarified that she wanted us to leave rather than sell us a book, we left.
Op. cit. Books of Taos. Opere citato a description given for the finding of some of the most accessible choices of just about anything a reader might enjoy. I love this book store so much, even before a time when it housed a book of my own. Its lay out leaves you the feel of a circling hallway surrounded in light for the choice pick, one that might lead you to a place of discovery, to a place that a title found might place you. The upstairs reading room, so beautiful, allowing the chance given for a sample title chosen as to why you should visit this store. It houses the feel of the old adobe ranch dwelling, while sitting calmly a courtyard and is a place to take in a cup of coffee while turning the writers page. My name is Roger Browning and I am so proud to say that my book, The Reckoning of Rance, is not only being sold at Amazon, but is being sold here in such a beautiful place. The stores manager was so kind to my wife and I on our meeting there and I am so proud that my novel sits their storied shelves. If you love books as I do, be sure, especially in this time of covid, to visit this very safe place to be.
Dont forget to go upstairs, a great place to get lost.
Loved the second floor reading room. Reasonable prices, and such a large selection.
Friendly and knowledgable people who love and know good books. Located in the John Dunn Shops, a special place among Taos retail districts. Dont miss it!
Great selection, nice staff, and charming atmosphere. They also have the NYT available for $3 — great price!
I grew up going to this bookstore when it was still Moby Dickens. I fell in love with reading by getting to go here and pick a book from the YA section. I was devastated when I had heard it had closed, so I cant communicate to you how delighted I was when I recently found out that it was purchased by a new owner and reopened. Thank you for saving a piece of my childhood and keeping this store running. It is an essential part of Taos, and the people who have and will grow up there.
Cool place. I like the layout and the photo wall. There is a good book selection, lots of good, quality choices.
Great little independent bookstore with a wide selection of local authors works.
Great bookstore, with local-area books downstairs and a variety of books all around. I found the New Mexico cookbook I was looking for.
Still enjoy live books, kindle broke but dont miss it when they have such a great assortment of books, nice selection of childrens books too
Wonderful space to browse a great selection of local and contemporary books.
