Tour starts with a video about kit that glosses over the genocide of the native Americans. Museums that are focused around difficult or controversial times can tell multiple sides of the story. At least they can tell all of the facts. To present the information in this way would not diminish kit carson but would in reality be more of an honor to the man.
This is Kit Carsons home and now a museum. We were very impressed and interested. The host (CJ) wrote his PhD dissertation on Carson and was a wonderful source of information.
They were very informative, in fact I learned a lot about Kit Carson. Very kind people and very knowledgeable! I recommend the tour!
GREAT historical Museum. You like Kit Carson, you must visit here.
Very nice stop if you are exploring the Taos valley and history.
The Staff really take time to engage you about the fascinating life of Kit Carson.
Kit Carsons house in Taos. Not much stuff owned by Kit Carson but he did own and live there at times. Some interesting displays and some scheduled talks.
Small but nice, worth a stop if nothing else is keeping you away
Fascinating and educational historic must-see museum!
Cool place and we enjoyed getting the Kit Carson history.
Not worth the money in my opinion, very disapointed, but it is history, gift shop is ok
This is a nice little museum.
Interesting place to see how Kit Carson lived his life.
