A definite treasure in my beloved tarrytown! Really enjoy treat night when I come here, either myself or when I have friends over for the evening. Most of the ice cream flavors are terrific. And everything tastes very fresh and homemade.

Husband had the chocolate chip cookie dough and pralines and cream, I had the chocolate chocolate chip and we were both drool central. It tasted delicious and you can tell its a homemade recipe. The waffle cone was really tasty too! The service was quick and easy and the staff very friendly while working quickly.

Nice ice cream place in this town which has variety of ice cream, coffee and shakes options. We liked everything we had ordered, the staff is coordial!

All of the ice cream and other treats are homemade here. Everything tastes awesome. It can be a bit busy, but it is definitely worth the wait.

It is a delightful, wonderful ice creap shop that makes you feel like Willy Wonka or a dessert paradise! They have so many fresh flavored ice cream flavors! All homemade! I tried Blue Magic which had real small marshmallows and chocolate snow caps and was a sweet cream different taste but blue! They give huge scoops! It is managed by what appears to be teenagers....and they are doing a lovely job! They promptly assist you also! A very convenient location and beautiful addition to start a family or friend tradition there. Also they have various real brewed styles of coffees, sundaes, and shakes. Will be back again!

To dark in there. Ice cream wasnt that good. I expected better. The soft serve machine was broken which was very disappointing. It was ok but wouldnt go back.

Chill hometown spot. I got a coffee icecream shake that was tasty. My girlfriend got a chocolate chip cookie that tasted very bad, like a plastic container, as if it was soaked in one. She did not finish it. She broke up with me b/c it was so bad 😭😭Edit: I told her we could probably return it, we did and they gave us fresh brownies !! Now we’re back together :)

8:59pm - said they close at 10. Turned the sign to closed right in front of us. Asked if we could just get one thing. Raining no line - turned around to ask and never came back to give us an answer. RUDE. At least come back and say sorry. Little did you know if you let us in you would’ve gotten a huge tip for one cone. Customers first. Was excited to try - I’m sure the ice cream is great but service is important.

This place came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. It was delicious! But... They only take cash, so make sure you dont only come with your debit card.

So many flavors! We tried oreo bomb and chocolate peanut butter, both amazing. Our dog loved the vanilla. Currently have a great COVID set up of taking your order and serving you at the sidewalk

Are you kidding me how good this ice-cream is?! I bought a cone of cherry choclate chip in the winter with my son to eat while we walked around town. It was so good that I went back before we left to by the biggest size they sold to bring home with me. I wish every cone I ate was this caliber. Top notch.

Came on a Monday at 6:40 pm - google says its open until 11pm, but the closed door with all the lights off and chairs stacked on one another with Sorry were closed written on marker on the glass of the door says differently.... so disappointed the place was closed when I was expecting it to be open according to Google maps...!

Marlaina did an amazing job. I just wanted a fun ice cream cake that had some trolls on them. I bought a pack Troll cake toppers on amazon and dropped it off along with some rainbow add ons. And told her to make it fun which she did ! It was simply delicious, and not a piece was left after the party got done ! Totally happy !

Ordered two scoops. There was like teaspoon of coconut ice cream under chocolate chip ice cream (substitute for other missing flavors). Girl outside served our group like doing us a favor. Unacceptable quality and portions. I know it’s pandemic, but put your act together. You charging premium prices. An extra star for good memories from this place.

$27 for five of the smallest scoops of average ice cream. Overhyped. I wanted to like it but don’t understand. Worst part is, they don’t even post prices so it’s a shocker when they hit you with the bill. Skip it.

Best homemade icecream 😋

We really wanted to order a cake for a big celebration, however the kids behind the counter could not answer simple questions. We then asked if perhaps we should call or stop by at a different time and they again were completely vague about that as well. I then asked for an email address of the person in charge of making the cakes and once again no help. So we found another vendor who was available and willing to get ever detail prefect! I know the ice cream is delicious but ordering a cake should not be that difficult.

Very good place to get your Ice Cream kick. Convenient location on Main Street and great wall mural inside. The ice cream is great and they host occasional events throughout the year for kids and adults alike.However, they do not accept credits/debit cards so bring cash.

Im an older feller now and there arent many places that bring me back to my youth and the joy I felt when experiencing the pleasures of all of our favorite treat, ICE CREAM. For me, walking into Main St. Treats was like walking into the past. The choices are exceptional and all served with the bright enthusiasm of the two smiling teens behind the counter. When I was young I spent time at my Grandfathers place in central rural New Jersey and in rural towns they always had a general store. This is the feeling I got when entering into Main St. Sweets. Go on in, enjoy, and be a child again

Came here for ice cream with my husband. This place is awesome, so many great choices and reasonably priced! The serving was pretty sizable to the point that we couldnt finish it together. Well definitely be back next time we visit the area.

I highly recommend the key lime ice cream. Whether its on a cone or in a cup it will both be extremely delicious. If I ever get the chance I will definitely be coming back for more.

My daughter, Katie, 16-years-old, gives Main Street Sweets 5 stars because It is the cutest little place, and ... she ordered the Cookie Monster Ice Cream because it (the very idea) was brilliant! Everytime we visit Sleepy Hollow for Halloween, we ALWAYS stop by here for the best sweets in town; but, its not just for this season with hot apple dumplings a la mode in a sundae, downed with hot apple cider: No! I heard theyre going to have Gingerbread Ice Cream and Eggnog for the Christmas Season -- How sweet it is!

They make their own ice cream!. Had Espresso Bean, Chocolate Peanut Butter and plain Chocolate. All delicious. But portions were small, but probably the norm. Sorry we are spoiled by the portion size at Port Jeff Ice Cream Cafe.

A great old fashioned ice cream shop on the outskirts of the big city. The prices are great and the ice cream is made fresh on the premises. Those interested in Apple pie or brownie Ala mode will be in heaven here.

I find it ridiculous that this store does not carry sugar free ice cream. My father is a diabetic and we were excited to come out and try out this establishment ( because they have a diversity if ice cream flavors) but i was so dissatisfied that they did not carry anything sugar free with people who have diabetes. I find it ridiculous that you can have a billion ice cream flavors and not one flavor that is sugar free. I hope the manager reads this and makes a change if she cares enough.

Pretty good homemade ice cream but (and Im not sure if this happens all the time) but they were out of a lot of flavors. Im sure thats because they make everything fresh and its a popular place but inventory management is important too.

Ive always walked by but never went in until my girlfriend said she wanted to get some ice cream. The flavors we got were amazing. The ice cream was actually creamy and smooth like soft serve. Easy to eat scooped, unlike most ice cream shops. The outdoor seating was nice as well. The two of us will definitely be going here more (well, until it gets too cold to be eating ice cream). The pumpkin ice cream they had was some of the best Ive ever tasted (and this is coming from someone who worked at a Carvel when he was in high school).

This place has great ice cream of many different flavors. Sometimes the people here are mean but the ice cream is good.

The place is amazing

Online it had no mention of being closed and said it was open until 8 PM. After driving there a sign was posted on the door that they are closed January and February. If this was a small quiet street in a small town possibly, but the night life and opportunity to serve couples and families out on a Saturday night is disappointing.

Pros: The moment you walk in to this store you feel in a good mood just by the scent of sweets! The staff is also very friendly.By reading so many good reviews about this place I believe I had too high expectations.They dont have any dairy free options for ice cream or milk. The sugar butter cookie seemed to be a little bit old.In regards to the ice cream, I wasnt impressed. In fact one of them (the Lime Pie ) was pitiful and made with artificial lime juice.I hope you have better luck than me choosing the flavors.
