Tried the lobster roll and chili fries. Both were on point.Quality lobster meat used in the lobster roll; not cheap but you do get what you pay for.Many things in the menu look delicious. Everything from the burgers, sandwiches, and huge ice cream selection will definitely have me coming back to try.

Stopped here for the first time today. Double cheeseburger with a small onion ring. The burger was definitely worth it. The bun was real good too. The onion rings were good, but not the best I ever had. Great color and doneness but was not crazy for the batter. Other orders of food I saw looked tempting. Will go back and have no problem recommending.

Went on labor day. It was busy but they moved the line quickly. I got a lobster roll with mayo, it was delicious. After we ate my father ordered ice cream and they thought he had asked for two. He diddnt realize he was charged for two right away because the prices are kind of high, but he saved it for later anyways. Always good food and friendly staff

Great ice cream! Usually get the kiddie cone. The portions are quite big. The food is good. Specialty burgers, onion rings, cheesy bacon fries to name a few. A nice ride on the weekend to relax and enjoy some good comfort food.

This is my new find in Taunton. Great service, acceptable prices and wow, so many food choices. Great selection of ice cream flavors and great sizes.

If you are ever in Taunton stop and try Frates. Im not a lobster eater but people rave about their lobster roll. I will say the whole belly clams are delish... and my family craves the fruity pebbles milkshake. Totally worth it. 🙂🙂🙂

Food was very good for a drive-in. Their menu is very extensive. Definitely a good spot to pop in and grab some comfort food.

The food was excellent, very generous portions and prices were lower than other places with similar menu items. I called in an order for a certain time to be picked up, it was ready to go when I arrived. Worth the little drive out of the way. I would recommend others to go to Frates. Food was so filling, and delicious, Didnt even get to try the ice cream. Definitely will be going back there and bringing the kids.

Food was good, quick service and a nice area, but dont come here hungry. Spent $68 on the mega lobster roll and a whole clam plate for my fiancé and I, we left hungry. Portion size for the money is not great.

Ive lived in the area for 6 years and finally tried it. Definitely lives up to the hype. I ordered the BBQ chicken fingers and clam strip dinner and they were the best I have ever had.

This was our first time at Frates and we werent amazed. The food was ok and way more expensive than we expected (I did get seafood but still). The best part was the frappes but even those were almost $8 per pop.

Burgers were really good. We went just before close. Perfect to eat at the tables with our puppy what a great experience... Vanilla milkshake was great.I had the Whimpy Burger.

Always great service here. Usually younger employees but they are very polite and do their best with the very large crowds they get. I usually go for the ice cream the burgers they are okay as well

Went there for the first and last time ever we are new in town and was very disappointed 21$ for 6 scollops a seafood platter 28$ 1 lilttle peace of some white fish 4 shrimp and 4 claims very soggy! Chicken sandwich McDonalds way better. Husband and I stomachs hurt. Do not recommend this place.

Best seafood/ice cream shack in Taunton by far, dont even think there is one in Taunton because, there isnt!! Fish and chips are a favorite here, and their frappes are top notch 👌 I take all my friends and family here when they visit.

Loved this little place only open for the season but a quick bite here is good. The kids loved the Bacon cheese fries

This place is a joke for seafood..I worked here few years back, let me tell you,the food is not fresh its frozen from Sysco..the clamcakes they are round flat like a pancake and frozen.. everything is portioned,so you get screwed on quantity..do yourself a favor and go to cape cod . seafood sams or kream n kone.seriously though you wont see frates on. Diners,drive in and dives on the Food Network

Food was excellent but, the portion of the seafood platter and the price with only clam strips was extremely disappointed. Will not be going back. We received only 4 scallops, 1 small piece of fish, 2 shrimp, 8 clam strips and a tiny amount of fries for $28.00.

Cooked to order great food. Prices are a bit high, but food is good. Not a lot of seating, but picnic tables are large and sturdy. Plenty of fake cows about for photo ops.

Had lunch recently with Mom and Dad. Tried the fried fish sandwich, a clam strip roll, and we all got raspberry lime rickeys. Has a great Cape Cod fried fish and food shack vibe, without the traffic. Will be back.

It was AWESOME!!! The fried dough sundae was WORTH THE TRIP!!! Went for ice cream but their food menu looks yummy too.😋 I will have to go back and try out some food and them of course DESSERT...BUT A NEW ONE!!! I hope...if not old faithful fried dough sundae will do just fine!!! Handicap accessible (I am in a wheelchair) parking as well with plenty of access. FRATES KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

Great outdoor space to eat and my children love it. The staff was super friendly as well. The food was just as great. Also, you have to try the Fruity Pebbles milkshake.

I got a steak and cheese sandwich, the bread was not good it was like it never got baked, mushy and raw,the steak had no taste at all the only thing you could taste was the cheese.My wife had a cheese burger and that was the same,no flavor!Id give it a pass!

We had fish and chips that were excellent. Lightly coated, and very fresh fish that was cooked to perfection. The coleslaw was very good, as were the french fries. It was a little pricey compared to other places but will definitely go back before they close for the season. There are picnic tables on the side of the building in a sheltered area protecting diners from sun and rain.

Over prized I payed $24.60 for a clams and the portion was very small, clams were good but not good enough for the price and the portion size I won’t be going back
