I heard this restaurant was great. I had to try. I wouldnt consider it great. Breakfast at Hardees would be comparable. Scallions on biscuits and sausage gravy with burnt hash browns. Gravy was definitely not homemade and the Biscuits are hard. Over priced as well. Restaurant is outdated. Not very clean. We were a party of 8 and we were seated where food was laying on the floor.

The food is very good, but the service is outstanding. Ive been there twice, their shrimp is amazing. And the service has been really exceptional. My only reservation is a lot of the food is sort of high-calorie ish. But if you are careful in making your selections you can still get good food that wont take up your entire calories for the whole day.

Great food and great employees. Id definitely go back here again. Had the Big Country Breakfast and it was real good.

Have been there twice now and my meal and service were very pleasant. On the second visit I brought eleven others from our motorcycle riding group. All said they enjoyed the food and the friendly and helpful staff as well.

First time here and everything was good. It has now become my favorite place for breakfast. There is so much to choose from on the menu and you will have a tough time deciding but as my granddaughter said try something new every time you come. Solid advice which I plan to take.

First time here! They have an amazing Bloody Mary and my breakfast....oh my goodness!! Presenting the Bayou Eggs Benedict.....Bacon and cheddar biscuit, poached eggs, fried green tomatoes, shrimp, and crayfish with a delicious gravy! This was fabulous! My husband had bacon-cheddar biscuits, fried chicken and a drizzle of honey...Son of a Biscuit. I also tried the homemade Texas hash made with brisket. DEEELICIOUS!Well be back:)

Cassie was as amazing as the food. Bayou biscuits was a favorite for him but son of a biscuit had satisfied my craving. Best biscuits ever. And have to mention the very berry margarita that was so refreshing served with fresh berries. Can’t drink just one! Love this place and worth any drive you may have.

Everytime I am in Lake County I always stop @ The Twisted Biscuit Diner ! The food is always out of bounds ❤ I took a little ride on my Harley this past Sunday just for the Krabby Eggs 🥚 Benedict. Without a doubt the 2nd best thing that I have ever ate in my life ! I love Crab 🦀 ! The Staff is just absolutely Amazing ! The Chefs are nothing but phenomenal !!!!!! Cant wait to get back ! I love that Diner soooooo much 😍♥

My new favorite brunch and breakfast spot! Went to Twisted Biscuit for the first time on Sunday. It was busy, but their offer of half-price mimosas and bloody marys while you wait helped the time pass quickly. I ordered the Bayou Benedict with jalapeno and cheddar biscuits. It was scrumptious! My husband had a half order of sausage gravy and sage biscuits and it was the best Ive ever tasted! Their hashbrowns were cooked to perfection. It was so good I went back today for lunch and had a salad with their house vinaigrette and it was topped with fried grouper. It was yummy and really fresh. Theres covered seating outside for those that are concerned about covid. Prior to eating here, my favorite biscuit place was the famous Pine State Biscuit in Portland, but this little diner topped it.

Arrived here at around 1:00, and they were PACKED. Even though they were obviously under heavy load at the time, they were very efficient cleaning and setting up tables directly after the guests had left. We were seated around 15 minutes after arriving, and after 5 minutes we had our drinks and orders in. Took around 20 minutes for food to get to us, which is pretty impressive considering every table was full. I ordered the Debris Burger, and it was amazing. The brisket was perfect, only complaint would be the tomato had almost to flavor to it, but that wasnt really my concern. The Texas Hash was also probably the best Ive had. The biscuits were perfect, not super crumbly, but also not sticky and super moist. Best Ive had in a long time. Seems like best time to come is around 1:30-2 when the crowd has thinned out decently. Definitely returning soon for more! 😄

Absolutely wonderful food, just like my southern grandma used to make! Portions are huge so beware. The staff is absolutely lovely, nothing but wonderful things to say about this place.

Oh my God! This place was sooooo good! Service was amazing, food came out super quick and was done to perfection and the mimosas were the perfect cherry on top. Weve eaten here twice. Both times everyones food was excellent. The biscuits come in multiple flavors and all of the ones we tried were delicious. Everything made from scratch daily. Food was good. Waitress didn’t think a lot and the timing was all screwy. Salad was way wilted showed waitress and she just took it away. No replacement.

I called in a to go order yesterday at Twisted Biscuit Diner. The lady that answered the phone and took my order was very friendly!She told me my food would be ready in 10 minutes. I arrived within the 10 minutes time frame paid for my order and went to my vehicle. I paid $10.26 for 2 biscuits with gravy! Which was a bit pricey! It’s called the Slap your momma biscuits! The biscuits have cheese and bacon inside. I like the creativity for the biscuits with the bacon and cheese but obviously it was not that good to slap your momma! No where close! I didn’t have enough gravy to eat with my biscuits! Diced tomatoes, green onions, bacons bits, cheese and gravy was on top of the biscuits. My food wasn’t even that Hot when I got to my car.

This was my first visit, so my experience is limited. Let me just say.. their biscuits are to die for!!..Of course, thats their specialty. I had half order of biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and cheese as a side. It was great! ..the biscuit had sage seasoning which was the perfect accent to sausage gravy. Very tempted by those biscuits, on the menu, with fruit in them!! I guess this means I need to go back!Our wait, at noon on a Sunday, was about a half hour but was worth it!

We sat at the bar because it was first come first serve. The wait, we were told, was 30 minutes. But we did witness another customer complain to hostess that she was quoted 20 minutes and it had been an hour. The drinks were delicious. The service was fine. The biscuits were dense. The sausage gravy was thin and needed seasoning. We wont be going back.

Party of three and one came out wrong (pancakes instead if french toast) and one was ice cold. Tomato gravy biscuit. Waitress was so busy I had to go get her. Drink order was forgotten, had to take it off bill. Waitresses cleaned tables then set them up without washing hands. Biscuits are heavy and hard. Manager seemed oblivious oe didnt care. Will not go back.

Ive been a couple of times now since theyve opened and everything Ive tried has been amazing. Their fancy biscuits are a hit, their specials are incredible, and everything on the menu is done with flair and creativity. Servers have been good as well, but watch out for those peak hours, especially on weekends. Its a hopping spot and the wait can be pretty long when its really busy. If youre not in a hurry the food is definitely worth the wait, just know that on peak hours you could be there a while.

This was my first time eating here, and I ordered the Harley Biscuit. Dear god!!!!! It was amazing. And the blueberry pancakes were incredible as well. Our server Cassie is a great server. I will definitely be coming back here again.

The service was great. Everyone was friendly. The Texas hash and grit cakes were delicious. Unfortunately, I didnt like the biscuits. Im a true southern girl and enjoy thick, soft. fluffy biscuits that have been rolled and cut out. These biscuits are very dense, square, and not fluffy. They reminded me of cornbread. Obviously, many people like them, but theyre not for me.

Our server Chris was the man. Took care of us and made sure we had an amazing experience. Very attentive! Exceptional service. Definitely top notch! Food was amazing as well. Will definitely come back here again in the near future. Thank you Chris for everything!

Sat outside as someone was sitting inside with her dog at the table in her lap. So many flies outside it was gross. They were all over our plates and cups.The fans were on but it didnt help. The food was really good but not sure we will go back. Maybe outside doggy dining and stronger fans would have made for a very nice experience

Came for brunch with my family, and it was amazing. Since it was a holiday it was busy but we were able to get some drinks before being seated. The waitress was absolutely amazing, and the food was so tasty and unique. They have many different types of biscuits, but the base one is amazing. Would completely recommend and cant wait to come back again!

Good meal and good service. Very well organized and knowledgeable wait staff. The restaurant is very open in it design and clean. There is comfortable outdoor dining. Menu was well balanced with a number of breakfast lunch and dinner entrees but it was not overly complicated. Service was very good during my visited. Our food order was managed quickly and our meal was served hot and just exactly as ordered. I would recommend Twisted Biscuit to friends and family. I will be going back!

What a great find! Located not more than 15 min from where we live! the menu is Southern and very tasty, biscuits are the star of the menu. We had a scrambler with jalapeños.Wait staff were so great and gave us plenty of time to look over the menu. So many choices and yes, we will go back. Prices were very good. The restaurant is popular, and they did a great job of sanitizing between table settings. Sweets next time!

Twisted biscuit is one of the best restaurants Ive been to in a long time. I would recommend this establishment to anyone thats looking for amazing food. The food came out hot and it was definitely delicious the staff was very friendly our waiter was Chris he treated us like family .felt at home. my wife was very very grateful to ha ve him as our waiter. We just lost our dog and we were very sad and Christopher made our day he filled us with hope and love . I look forward to bringing all of my friends to dine at your establishment and once again thank you Chris we shall be back .

Had their grouper po boy with cole slaw and fries. It was excellent, and a huge portion. Service was awesome, will be back there again to try something different.

Everyone was very friendly and you get plenty for your money. Everything was clean and tidy. There was 5 of us and they went out of their way to take care of us. When and if we get back in the area we will go back. We live an hour and a half away but everything was great.

Disappointed, we waited about 30min to dine in for brunch on a Sunday, we finally got seated in a packed restaurant, with tables close together. The food and drinks were very good but there were flies flying all around the dining room that bothered us the entire time. That’s why I gave 3 stars :(

Went in there a few days ago and while I dont normally write reviews I had to write one for this place. First I had the Texas Hash and the wife had the Very Berry Biscuit (I think thats what it was). The Texas Hash came out of the kitchen very hot which is the way I like it! The beef brisket was plentiful and oh-so--delicious! The potatoes and onions were cooked to perfection! Eggs were done to perfection. (more about our waiter later) The biscuit was very fluffy and seemed to be right out of the oven! My wifes berry biscuit was delicious also. At least I was told so. She wouldnt share!!! But more about the waiter Chris, I forgot his last name. His service was impeccable and spot on. He seemed to have a sixth sense about him, meeting ALL MY NEEDS!! Coffee was refilled several times and I didnt even ask. Very knowledgeable AND with a sense of humor! I will definitely be back but I hope Chris will be our waiter. GOOD JOB!!!

Started off with the best Bloody Mary that I could recall in a long time. Ordered chicken fried steak, eggs, hash browns and rye toast.Every item was cooked perfectly. The chicken fried steak had a nice crispy coating while the inside was tender and juicy.Id be remiss if I didnt mention the friendliness of the entire staff.Ill be back!

This place was BUSY. There was a line of people waiting, dining room was packed, and the patio seating was pretty full, too. We waited about 20 minutes for a table and a little longer for breakfast, which was expected given the number of diners. The staff was friendly and the food was very good. I had the Son of Biscuit - delicious. I gotta go back and try the Monkey Biscuit, because it sounded very good. Good coffee, clean all around. All staff were in masks, but not so much on the social distancing. Its a little out of my way, but I would definitely eat there again.

The service was great, the food was good. I got the Slap Your Mama. It was okay, the bacon in the gravy was chewy, kind of grisly. The biscuits were okay, very dense, and not as fluffy as I had expected. I would not order that dish again as I expected it to be heavy, but it was slightly disappointing. I will go again and try something different. My son ordered Son of a Biscuit and he liked it. We liked the mimosas. A fun addition to breakfast we didnt expect to find there! Well give it another try soon.

We were staying at the Mission Inn Resort 5 miles away and wanted a good and reasonable priced breakfast so we found this place. It was a Sunday morning and post covid19 the parking lot was full and people were standing outside!! We got on the wait list and were #6 in line. 15 minutes later we were sat and ordered with Sandy. Food was an A+ along with the prices. $8.99 for a full breakfast!! Highly recommend and going back tomorrow.

They serve you a gourmet Burger with no condiments, the meat is a Bubba burger the French fries were over cooked and the sweet tea might as well been drinking sugar

Took a while to get seated when we were seated it took a while to get waited on the food was okay but the service was very slow, this was a totally a different experience this time around its usually pretty good

Came in today for lunch and noticed on the sign outside that today’s special was a brisket wrap so I figured I’d give it try. It looked good but I was wrong. The brisket was more like shredded pork when I thought it would be chunks of brisket and only got very little and to much lettuce. This is the second time I’ve been here but the first time was back in January when they were relatively new so since it’s been several months I figured id try it again but after today’s visit it will definitely be my last I hate to say.

This is my favorite dinner in the Tavares area. I love their Tornado Scrambler! It has become my go to for breakfast at this restaurant. The service here is impeccable. The biscuits are to die for! So many different kind! The staff is very hospitable and they work as a team! Very cool atmosphere. Love each visit!

I like the unique biscuit concepts they have and I have tried several. I will have to say that Im most impressed with their pancakes. My fiance always gets them and I just had to try them because they looked crispy around the edges, just like my mom used to make. I dont even really like pancakes anymore but these were so good that Im going to order them next time! Looking forward to my next visit.

My husband and I ate here yesterday and was a little disappointed. I ordered the 1/2 order Sausage Gravy & Biscuit.....the gravy was so cold I had to track down my server to put in the microwave to warm up. Also the hashbrowns which we both had tasted too much of the oil they cook it in. I have to say my husbands Chicken Fried Steak was delicious and will get that the next time. Also will tell server to have them use less oil when cooking the hashbrowns. But for what we had was a little $$$ especially with 1/2 order.

We got there right at closing. Which we try not to do, but we lost track of time. 3pm on a Sunday.. Most businesses will frown and kick you out. Not here. They were super friendly and made us some food to go. The food was very good. Breakfast fare around home made biscuits. Very good. They also have all the usuals along with lunch.
