Everything was over priced by 300% value. Old dirty, worn out shoes $20 and up. Old dishes, $5 each for a single plate, $2+ for a glass. I saw several purses raggedy on the edges, Jewels missing for $15+. Stained t-shirt for $6. This is unacceptable!!! No one should be subject to these prices, just because they are in a tight spot financially. Expecting someone to buy a second hand, donated winter coat for $25+ that is not even in the best condition, is nothing more than trying to take advantage of consumers. I will not shop there, or recommend any one to shop there. It is a total high priced junk shop.
I used to love this place, but the prices are ridiculous here and that’s why there’s junk everywhere and it’s to crowded. There was a pair of disgusting uggs with a literal hole straight through the show and they put 30$ on them? Or a old corded rhino angle grinder for 29$ when you can get a brand new one for 40? They are pricing themselves out of business!
My husband loves value world, rather shop there than any retail stores
You use to go into this store and get a great deal. Now you spend more and since being used items not all are great in condition. Saw a cute plant pot, they wanted $10 for it, I got it new for $6. I wont be going back. It is a shame that they are pricing themselves out of business.
Clean store. Lots of variety of items. Excellent customer service
Have a lot of good stuff in you go in the morning prices are a little high
Loved it there one of the best shoe/heel selections so far
Very very organized thrift store. personally didnt find anything, but I enjoyed my shopping experience
Amazing fall and winter selection. Halloween costumes out as well. Staff is very friendly.
This location is huge and disorganized, fun for digging though! Bizarre pricing on antiques near the register.
I got some really cool stuff here, including a rare vintage furby plush from 1999 for only $4.94 ! Great prices, and the staff was nice !
Love this place. Its like a huge garage sale under one roof. If you like that sort of thing. :) Dont forget they do a 50% off coupon every once in awhile. Keep an eye out. Fun to shop here.
Great selection. Organized. Mostly priced well. Youll get a good laugh sometimes people watching.
Waitress always friendly. Good food. Specials.
This store isnt quite organized as the others Ive been to.
Kinda messy and smelly, not very organized. Everything seems dusty. Do they even wash the items? The toy room was a disaster mixed with backpacks luggage lunch boxes. Fairly priced.
Lots of clothes. I bought a bowl.
This Fall there were plenty of toys in small bags to choose from. Awesome. Floors and shelves and areas always nice and clean.
It was so hard to find something. Because all the sizes are blended in together. There is no space on any shelf. You cant see what you are seeing.
Didnt find anything this time..good thing..who ever is making these prices up needs a slap..alot of stuff you could buy new cheaper..smh
I absolutely love their stores I came here for the first time this past summer 2017 and it was half off coupon day I was able to get the weed Ralph Lauren jackets that were already marked down low to six dollars for three dollars each regularly retailed at $85 this is a very large value world which means more for you to look through but it’s definitely worth it.
Prices a lil high on the good stuff but more to chose from✨❤️✨
This is a very large resale shop, lots of items and friendly staff. I stopped here because I was in the area and found them on Google, this was my first visit. I have been to many thrift stores in other cities and this store is the highest priced I have ever seen! How can you charge $29.99 for a vintage teacup and saucer? Or $49.99 for a lamp?? I did find some items that were reasonably priced. Also the shelves were very full which made it hard to shop and the top shelf is placed too high for most shoppers.
Some nice items but super HIGH prices ESPECIALLY on shoes. Newsflash guys...you’re a THRIFT store!!
Little pricey for a retail shop
They racial profiled me and my grandchildren, my youngest .. eleven year old grandchild asked the worker if she was okay with a response Im waiting for my lunch as if we were delivering her lunch it made my grandchildren and I very uncomfortable of us being followed around
Childrens clothes and winter coats... great deals.
Ive been coming here my whole life. Its my favorite!! Your welcome and thanks for being the best thrift store around!!
I feel that this lady was racially profiling us .. while we were walking around the store she would follow and stare non stop . Fix your workers before I give them something to stare at, period .
Very nice staff
Clean. Quick service and nice workers!
Awesome Thrift Store! I’ve been going for years. I’m always in search for the best thrift store and I have yet to come across a better one. Best deals and best finds every time.
I love Value World. Always have great prices. My favorite one is located in Ypsilanti. Another great one is the Westland store too. This one is in my top 3 favorites. Go there!
Half-off Memorial Day weekend
I love value world!!!
Employees and customers need to wear masks correctly. That is, over the nose.
Shameful how over priced your items are. This is resale, not retail. I only really go when they have 50% off coupons, and that is going to give when you have to spend so much to get that discount! And, too, a lot of the items are damaged, and still sell them at high prices. I just bought a pair of boots and they had a hole in them from loose stitching... You need to check for defects rather than, so much, wanting to get retail prices!!! 😤Oh, and to add, Ive read your replies on how youre going to discuss pricing to management. Seems that never happened!!!
This is the closest value world to me, if it wasn’t, I wouldn’t go there. I only go on coupon days because the prices are crazy. Like Walmart products that are priced over retail value new. I can go on and on about the prices I’ve seen that make no sense. And why isn’t there a dressing room here?!?! I gave this a 2 because of how nice the lady is at the checkout.
Found a great new winter coat 🙂
A little pricey, even with %50 off..
Service was great but the prices are getting too high for a thrift store. One pair of shoes was $50 and a pair of boots was $20! I go to get a good deal but I couldnt afford the boots😢.
I love this place clean organized friendly staff
This place use to be good on prices, not anymore, You could go to city trends n get the shirts at same price new. Value world thinks its a Burlington store i rather go to this other stores. Who ever is pricing the clothe at value world needs to wake up !!! Is a thrift store !!!!.. sweaters here are ridiculously price for been very use. I gave it one star because the cashiers are very friendly n I did found a pair of shoes for a great price.
They used to have great prices.$40 for a used dress? $45 for used shoes? $15 for used jeans? This used to be my go to place. Now Ill never return. Unless they remember that they are a resale store and should charge accordingly
An excellent thrift shop! Bargain hunting by pure definition.Be ready to thumb through racks of clothes, trying to find your size and/or whatever styles youre looking for. As always, when it comes to the stock, your guess is as good as mine?Sometimes youll get lucky with an amazing find, but everything is affordable.
Why shop retail? I appreciate those that donate their full price, quality items. Then we buy them for sooo much less. This store has nice items and they are kept very well organized.
I love looking for a deal when the mood strikes. This place has a lot of good merchandise as well as bad. It is a resale place. There are half off coupons in news paper pretty often close to the back.
Good refuge and distraction friendly staff
I love shopping second hand and this is most definitely the place to go. There are one of a kind styles there. And its great for shopping for back to school clothes in bulk.
Prices jacked since covid
Store has been keep Clean. But you have to watch for crowds.
Check the papers for the 50% off coupon, it is super helpful and you get 50% off total purchase. This Value World is great, looks can be deceiving. You must be willing to take part in the hunt, the thrift hunt. I have found burberry and other huge name brands here in great condition. The small stuff is lacking her but clothing sections are huge.
Friendly staff, but its has got expensive and I dont know why. Purses are high, they sell Coach used sometimes dirty for way too much, you can get them cheaper online or at a garage sale and knock-offs for just about the same as real lol . This thirft store Prices are too high. I go to find a good deal ( which I have ) but it would be nice if they didnt price stuff so high like they are Macys. Its a second hand store not a retail store.
1st time at this store. I read the reviews 1st and was apprehensive based on those reviews. They were WRONG or very very picky people. We went on a coupon day, no problem, no frenzied crowds, cashiers and other workers were friendly. Its a thrift store people!! Not Macys.
Finally cleaning up the place starting to look better
I dont really know I didnt go into that store..
Not as messy as other second stores you are able to slide the product to see them this is very important to me. There is also public bathroom and one more thing occasionally they have 1/2 off coupons
It was great
Prices are higher than that of ordering on Amazon. I saw the dress I wanted, that Value World priced at $100; so, I checked for the same dress on Amazon, and that same dress was $24.99. If they keep this up, theyll be closing, or still open, but selling to stupid people, who dont know the value of things.
This store does have some nice stuff... but at very high prices. Shoes on the regular rack, not behind the register, were priced as high as $70. Never returning.
Huge space compared to other Value Worlds, constantly rotated stock worth hunting through. Value Worlds masterstroke is the 50 percent off your total order coupon, never available online, which is either mailed to everyone in your zip code or found in newspapers or other publications. These coupons run periodically and the first day a coupon is valid, parking lots are crowded and shopping carts are scarce as savvy buyers scoop up piles of merchandise. Prices are fair even during non-coupon weeks, but to subtract HALF the cost and walk out with an entire basket of bargains for less than the price of one pair of new basketball shoes is a real treat!
Dig this place good finds for my back and online store
Very large selection, but be prepared to shop by color and style only. Not in size order. Good value when coupons come in the Plum advert
Large variety of second hand items, from clothes to toys. Household items, holiday decorations, dishes, vases and much more. No dressing room, wear leggings and tank top to try items on.
Wide variety of clothing. It didnt take me to long to get some fall clothing. Cashier was fast and pleasant.
The shoes were all extremely dirty. Overall the prices for clothes were very good. No bathroom or fitting room.
Clean with friendly and helpful staff, surprisingly better than most thrift shops in the area, I dont often look for something at a store such as this but if I need ot cheap and it could be here this is the place to start, cheap clothing in good condition among a million other cool odds and ends one will find at such a place
I love value world. I have been going here since I was a small child. Nothing like a pair of jeans that are already wore in. Sign up for the mailing list and you will receive coupons for 50% off your entire purchase,
Nice, helpful staff. Lots of variety. Some prices seem awfully high. And the store smells bad, which is sad.
The store was very neat and clean. Prices were good and clothes were easily found where they were supposed to be.
Love this store specially when their 50% off coupon comes out.. best prices for quality vintage and current styles clothing..
Prices are so high - I can buy new. Not happy with the increase for donated items - wont be shopping there anymore. 😥
Ive been going there for years,Used to have good prices,,,now its almost same as new,,this is a used, worn, RESALE..store,,They think they have Smithsonian antiques or something..The misc, furniture etc section is always a mess, very dirty, broken stuff over priced!Ex, Plastic, Dirty leaves $12.97......Broken baskets, some $20.00 etc.Clothing I looked at had a wide range,,Purses, dirty and damaged, way out of resale range, over the moon, just because they might have a label. THIS is Not Hollywood and Vine! Its Taylor. Not too many economical prices on nice items anymore..,but I keep,looking...wish theyd rethink so you could find bargains again for people starting out or need replacements..Hope I find something worth carting home .Maybe next time.
I like shopping there but you have to watch the prices. Sometimes they get overpriced on their things. But most the time you get a good deal
Good just wish the tag person was there to price my item because it didnt have a tag so i couldnt get it
Busy place today.pretty good price with 50% off coupon.
This store is very large, and while it does get turned over by customers, the staff does a fantastic job of organizing the place. its gonna be a mess during half off coupon days, but any other time, a very nice store.
Overpriced garage sale. Very dirty and unorganized.
Love going to thrift stores. This one is pretty well kept and the prices are great for the various options available for clothes or other items.
This place is terrible, for several reasons and I have no idea why people choose to pay such prices. When people voice complaints about prices, they simply say they have coupon days and I know that’s true but still even with a coupon over haft the inventory would still be a lot higher than anywhere else. They know they can get away with this “robbery” because people still choose to shop here. It’s ridiculous! The coupons need to be for 75% of their tag prices then the prices would be acceptable.2-Piece Suits For $70 for a poor brand name is unacceptable. They’re books are way over priced compared to other organizations.I bet if they lost a lot of they’re customers, they’d start lowering prices but that starts with the customers. I’m a huge buyer, if prices were good and they had items that interested me I’d have no issue spending $1k a month but until they change things I won’t shop there anymore.
Ken was very helpful with my bestfriend in getting her a bed, with him and Monea they got her an awesome deal!!!
This is a big store & i always find something there. Just wish it was organized a little better.
Best of the VW chain. A bit expensive tho. Ive always wondered why they dont rack the clothing by size instead of color. They go to the trouble of measuring and marking it.
You have a wonderful employee named Billy shes great with customers and very friendly
Always love coming here with my dad, their vintage stuff are always stocked with really cool and different things.
Value World.I love this store. Even if i wasnt on a budget & had loads of cash to pay for brand new/brand names i still wouldnt stop thrifting! Its totally an entertaining treasure hunt. #LoveTheThrill
I find the best VHS tapes, hard to find magazines and books, I also find the best thrift store customer service!!
Racks were very full, good selection, courteous store clerks!
Value World had what I needed and at a good price. My only regret is that I didnt find my coupon until after I made my purchase.
Ppl need tomake clothes for ppl tall and skinny like me i didnt find anything for my skinny body but i liked how there was a place for everything i give this place a 3
The store was great and fairly organized, but the staff and store manager was very rude and obnoxious to me and the rest of my party we had items totalling over 200.00$ we had a half off coupon sent to us for signing up for new members but it was out dated, but just sent to us today. Not our fault it was giving to us. The casheir had said I remember hearing about these coupons. But the manager said well they are expired so we cant take them. So they were asked to hold the items and I would go get a paper for the half off coupon in it. The casheir rudely said I told you that one already expired and the new one dont take effect until March 4th). So I had told them that my order of $170.00 that I didnt want any of it to void the order. The employees werent to happy. But they never called anyone to ask them about the coupon and never checked into it and never tried to offer any kind of a discount but they were just being rude about it. I will not be going back to the value world on ecorse road in Taylor Michigan. They dont value the customers obviously.
Just on random searches
Very clean and well organized. Great items and prices.
Lot of different type of products in very affordable prices....Just love this place
Big store decent prices for a thrift shop. No fitting room
Prices high for thrift store but seems like prices are high at all thrift stores only affordable with half off coupons
Value World is an excellent thrift store chain, and this is one of best stores.
Way overpriced! That’s why I started to throw my old clothes in the trash rather than donate. Garage sales are my new go to ✌️
I love Value World,. And I love my fellow shoppers and I love the employees
