So far, so good! Their parts have been top notch, and shipping has been extremely fast. Havent experienced any kind of delays with my orders, and theyve been quick to respond to any questions about their products.Update 10/4/2021: Two instances of parts being made incorrectly, with promises to send new ones, but neither ever arrived. People skills not always the best either. Tend to be talked down to, regardless of my own knowledge/expertise. Parts are definitely still high quality; just a little hit and miss on the details.
On February 9th, I placed an order with WestCoast for a bunch of parts for my Fiero 3800 swap, and for some headers and exhaust for the same build. They told me the first batch of parts would ship in about 2 weeks, the exhaust, in about 6. Okay, fine, completely reasonable. A few weeks goes by, and I get the first batch of parts, no complaints yet. Fast-forward to March 26th, I email asking for an update on the exhaust, explained my car was in a professional mechanics shop waiting on nothing but the exhaust. The owner of WestCoast, Chris, told me You are in the works with your exhaust. Check middle of next week. I send an email the next week, no reply. another the week after, no reply. Another, no reply. Weeks go by, and multiple emails with no response, I call up, takes about 5 tries to get through. Chris answers, when I mention how its around 10-12 weeks from the order, instead of the expected 6, he starts going off about dont you know theres a pandemic?... Well yes Chris, I do, and were over a year into it. I thought the pandemic was considered when I was given a 6 week estimate on the exhaust. He rudely says if you dont want to wait, we can give you a refund, which I decline, as I need the parts ASAP and I placed the order weeks ago, and my mechanics are waiting on the exhaust. I call back 2-3 weeks later, ask for an update, they tell me I’m up next, after the exhaust theyre currently working on, and to call back in a week. I call back in another week, they tell me theres one more person ahead of me, then they can start mine... They told me the delay was the headers, as they only have one guy (acting like its my fault), but they could ship the downpipe and exhaust separate from the headers. I said no, since the rest of the exhaust is useless without the headers. So, I end up waiting another 4 weeks, so were at the around 18~ week point since I placed this 6 week order. I call up again, and by now, I am trying to only deal with a specific worker they have Brett (Honestly, Brett is a great employee, his boss is just horrible at running the business and dealing with customers). I keep hearing at this point now “it’s a work in progress” for about 3 weeks. I paid $600USD to have my headers and exhaust ceramic coated, but they now tell me that their ceramic coating supplier went out of business, and they can either wait a few more months to find a new supplier, or ship my exhaust as is and refund me for the ceramic coating / use some of the ceramic coating to pay for shipping (Despite the order being 20~ weeks late at this point, they still want me to pay full for shipping). I tell them ship it ASAP, so they take the $300 in ceramic coating for the headers, and use that for shipping…. 3 more weeks go by, they send me a UPS tracking number for the rest of the exhaust… I guess the $300 in ceramic coating for that half of the exhaust isn’t getting refunded either. The products in the end are good quality, don’t get me wrong, but the absolutely disgusting business practices, constant lies and leading on customers, rudeness of Chris the owner, I cannot warn people enough to stay away from WestCoastFiero / WestCoastFabrication. This was a $4,500.00 USD order, and they didn’t care about me at all. If I complained at all before I got all the stuff, and didn’t remain as patient as I was, there’s no way in hell I would have got what I paid for. In my opinion, they owe me at least $600 for the ceramic coating they didn’t do. I didn’t get what I paid for fully in the end, and am very unhappy with this company. BUYER BEWARE! They have cost me hundreds more than I originally expected in needing to pay for additional ceramic coating now at my local shop, and having to tie up a spot at my mechanics shop. It’s unreliable if you’ll even get a response from them through email, and they’ll give you the runaround on the phone. Chris had the audacity to tell me to be patient around 18 weeks into the order, when he said it would take 6. Limited by character limit, could write more, BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!
This shop its run by absolute crooks. They will ignore refund requests, ignore emails, hold your money hostage for months. He will lie about the status of your order. He is currently holding 1700 dollars hostage and he hasnt even shipped my parts yet. 36 days ago my order was placed. Currently relying on a charge back to get my money back. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP. Actual criminals.
Love west coast fiero little slow but worth the wait
Because of plans I made with Chris West at West Coast Fiero, I acquired a low mileage, clean 1988 Fiero GT with T-Tops for an engine swap, along with other, extensive customization. I had planned to invest $20K+ with him, over several types of upgrades. For the engine / trans (phase 1) We agreed that I would acquire a low mileage LS4 engine and transmission, ship them to his shop and hire him to perform the swap and supercharge the LS4 engine. I spent thousands of dollars in acquiring the engine / trans, rebuilding the trans, upgrading and shipping them to Chris, etc. I also sent Chris the $8K+ he requested from me, to perform the labor and acquire the supercharger kit. Once he had the parts and the money, the excuses began. For one reason or another, he either did not have the time or the resources to begin my project. Fast forward 18 months of this... I decided to cancel the project and request a refund. To my dismay, he then informed me that he had spent all my money on other things and that he had NO IDEA if/when he will be able to pay me back! I was blown away and very worried, I shared this with Chris, he did not care and hung up the phone. I am now having to sue him to try and recover my money... so disappointed.

West Coast Fieros solved many perplexing issues for me, After wracking my brain trying to diagnose several issues myself, and with little luck, Chris Steve and Rick came to the rescue and fixed them. That includes a couple serious issues I didnt notice. Its definitely worth the four hour trip from San Diego. Plus they are fun to be with. I am so thankful to have their expert support and wise guidance.
I have ordered 2 separate items from this supplier & the first one took around 3 weeks to show up, it was a stainless steel pipe for a 3800SC swap, it came with 2 pieces of short rubber coolant hose for install & you could obviously tell they had been cut from a longer piece, the cuts werent even straight & it looked liked the used the corner of a cinder block to cut them, the 2nd thing was a top dog bone mount for a 3800SC swap, I put the order in @ 10pm August 3rd, so that would mean that first thing on the morning of the 4th it would be getting processed, I called to touch base on August 15th & a gentle man said it was getting shipped out the next day and that he was very sorry because they are very understaffed, on August 23 I still havent received my mount, I live in Northern Colorado so I figured it cant take more than a week for shipping from California to me so I called again only to find out that the mount is still being machined and should be ready to ship out tomorrow, the person I spoke with didnt even care that I was given wrong information about when the part was supposed to be shipped out, in fact he didnt even say a word to me after I told him my part was supposed to be in route to me more than a week ago. Terrible customer service, terrible shipping times and so far the parts I have purchased from them are barely satisfactory, I will update this as soon as I receive the mount and leave a review on it. Dog bone motor mount finally on August 29th, one side of the mount did not fit in the bracket, so I called WCF, I explained how it did not fit & he explained to me that all I needed to do is grind some material off both sides of the polyurethane mount till it fits, I dont know about anyone else but I dont pay $140.00 for a direct bolt on part to have to machine it to fit, & besides that this problem could have been avoided if they would have taken the 5min it took me in my kitchen to find out the parts didnt fit together, overall ladies and gentlemen you are WAY better off using Rodney Dickmans parts than these people.
These guys are awesome fabricators.
