Salesperson Ross Mietzel arrived at our house as scheduled to go over our shower and toilet project. The appointment started off good but as we progressed into what Bath Planet had to offer, Ross became overly aggressive, like a desperate used car salesman. At times he was rude, using demeaning sales tactics to get me to commit to their quote. He eventually told me that I should should settle for a cheaper fiberglass option after I told him that I still had a few other contractors bids to consider. His tactics made both myself and my wife uncomfortable and I even told him at one point I was ready to ask him to leave. In fact, my wife left the room while I finished up with him because he made her feel uncomfortable. Then he said he was just joking.... Would definitely not do business with Bath Planet just based on the pushy stressful sales presentation alone.
Sadly, it was supposed to be my dream bathroom remodel, turned into my worst nightmare. First of all, job had to be rescheduled because they sent the wrong shower pan. After checking out other reviews, I realize this is a very common problem with this company. When installation day finally arrived, Gilbert and Jose, although very polite and seemingly professional, missed connecting a pipe in my wall. Two weeks later my dining room ceiling came crashing down because water has been dripping inside the walls. After several months and tens of thousands of dollars worth of repairs to my pipes, walls, floors, ceiling, carpet and the list goes on, my house is finally back to normal. For days we had to listen to massive fans 24 hours a day to dry out our walls and we were filling buckets from my neighbor’s hose just to be able to flush our toilets or take a cold sponge bath. I’m grateful my homeowners insurance company took care of the massive damage. Last I heard, bell planet is not returning their calls and the insurance company will have to take them to court. I’m hoping to eventually get my $500 deductible back once my insurance company is finished suing them. Wish I could sue them for all the mental anguish they caused.
It took quite a bit longer than expected to finish the job but overall Im happy with the work
To expensive for the out come, when you call for repairs takes for weeks to get done and after multiple calls back to the office. they will send Alex to your house and try to bully you by telling us the home owner we are wrong... well that didnt go well for him with me i proved him wrong then you should have heard the back puddling from there its was to die for. all in all for custom showers not the place to get them done from
We contracted Bath Planet under the impression they’d only take 9-11 business days. It has taken over a month to complete and when they finished, they put the steam vent exactly where the manual said not to. However, they came back and fixed the entire wall in one day and it looks fantastic. Even the it’s been almost two months, the final product is remarkable.
Awesome people and nice professional company
We live in Temecula, owner came out and ripped my father off for $30,000 for three bathrooms. After putting a hole in the wall in one of the bedrooms, damaged mirrors, careless Mexican workers. Sadly they put the cheapest quality products and cheap shower doors that literally wiggle and make a uncomfortable noise while using them. Everything is now starting to deteriorate and it’s been about a year or less. This is my first bad review I’ve ever left for a company. after making hundreds of calls to the office no response from the owner. The receptionist keeps telling us they will give us a call back. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they sent me a letter saying this business does not reply to even the Better Business Bureau. Please do yourselves a favor and do not use this company. For the love of God, they rip people off, I will be posting pics of All the cheap products installed in our bathrooms that are deteriorating. Plus I will be posting a letter of the better business bureau letter saying that this company does not reply to even them. Sadly we are filing a lawsuit against this company. $30,000 down the drain and causing nothing but damage and a hard ache. Please people save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.
So we’re having a very bad experience with this company. We gave them a sizable down payment 6 weeks ago and haven’t heard hide nor hare from them. They will not answer phone calls and do not return phone messages. I finally drove down to their office in Temecula and the place is locked up. Website says they are supposed to be open.
We love our new shower and so easy to clean!UPDATE: Almost 2 years later and my shower looks like its still brand new. I will NEVER put tile in a bathroom again and will call Bath Planet when we need to redo our other 2 bathrooms. Worth EVERY dollar we spent!
We went from just a shower to a shower and deep tub in our master bath. We absolutely love it! Joe Rodriguez was our designer and he took care of us from beginning to end and beyond. A minor issue when the wrong tub was delivered, but the owner found the right one within a day and took care of us. The installers were always on time, clean, friendly and answered all of our questions. We had them back to make a couple of minor adjustments and it was not a problem. We need countertops done and will definitely use them again.
Overpriced, tried talking us into doing it their way.. Not the salesman you want.. Rude
Warning...Be very cautious when dealing with this company! We got the hard sell, put down a deposit, and cancelled a few days later. Ive been trying to get my deposit money back ever since, and havent had any luck. Its been 2 months and I cant get past the receptionist to talk to the owner. Im ready to go to court. Do not give them any money!
Bob Miller at Bath Planet Inland Empire is fantastic to work with. Professional, timely and enthusiastic about all things bathroom remodeling. It is a pleasure to work with him and his team!
Quoted a final price which seemed very high. Then as the rep was leaving he kept trying to lower the cost. Be ready for a hard sale. I did not receive a written estimate so I could review the quote. I dont think they wanted me to use it to compare other installations.
That planet is awesome cant wait to get my new shower theyre going to do it in just one day
Has not returned my 5 calls. Told to ask for Robert and then Nothing!!
Hard sell. They wont give you discounts unless to purchase the day they come out. How is that an estimate?
We contracted with BathPlanet of Inland Empire to have one shower stall replaced and one bathtub converted to a shower. We were repeatedly promised to never be without at least one functional shower. This was untrue. Both showers were unfinished for a four-day period. The effort and expense of making one of the unfinished showers usable was left up to us at the last minute on a Friday night. The promised two-day installation ended up taking five days. The bathtub conversion pan flexes and creaks when stepped on by a person weighing less than 150 pounds.BathPlanets website advertises a guarantee of communication. Most of our calls were ignored. The calls that were returned were several days late. When told of our complaints, two BathPlanet employees promised to make things right, as guaranteed on their company website. This never happened. The final cost of $16,300.00 was far too high for all the broken promises, false guarantees, and product concerns we have had to endure.
My estimate was 8800 if I signed that day 12,000 the next day hard sell.went with tile and new fixtures and tile from Arizona tile 5900.00 total price installed and the tile man built a bench and a recessed shampoo shelf.Buyer beware of people taking advantage.
Ive worked with Bath Planet west for over a year now and they are a quality company. For bathroom remodeling in Orange County and all of Southern California, give them a call.
Alex company co owner very unprofessional, he hung up on me while I was explaining my concern with the product and my decision to cancel the installation.
Dont do business with this company. They are dishonest people.
