Came in on a Sunday when it was slow noticed a firearm I wanted to purchase the manager Ronda was very rude and told me she didn’t have time for the transaction I understand that it takes awhile as I work in a gun shop as well. However I scheduled an appointment for another day. I was 6 minutes behind and she told me once again she didn’t have time and it was my fault for scheduling a late in the day appointment. No clue if this his how Big 5 trains their employees but it needs to change. They lost hundreds of dollars just in this transaction alone.

The store was clean and mostly stocked up. Lots of sports items like tennis, badminton, soccer, baseball, volleyball, weights, athletic shoes and clothing. The staff was friendly mostly. There was a bit of attitude in regards to the mask situation but when asked I said I had an exemption and they were still sorta friendly and professional. So bonus points there. The prices were a bit on the higher side. 12.99 plus for one badminton racket. But 39.99 for a 4 pack with 3 shuttle cocks.

They always seem to have what I need. Store is always well organized and they offer good customer service.

Super impressed with the customer service here by Javan, Tyler and Josh. I was shopping for a same day gift for my sister and since I live hours away they helped me hand pick some items. Four calls and they were super patient with me. So rare to find this kind of customer service out there these days.

Went t purchase a 1 day sale item. Couldnt find so asked employee about item,and they had no idea, they wanted to see a picture from my phone. Showed it to them, and they said it was sold out. How when I just walked in store when they opened that day. Poor training and communication with employees.

Staff was very rude. It appears they were bothered to have to actually do their job and check if they had a product in store. I don’t think the owners of this store would appreciate their staff costing them sells due to their lazy and rude behavior.First they said they had 7 indoor bicycles, then they only had one and when we called back after they hung up on us, all of a sudden “Brian” or “Ryan” said they had “0” indoor bicycles. All of this in a matter of 15 minutes.I am calling tomorrow morning to report this rude and unprofessional behavior.

I come here all the time because their sales are awesome. Knifes, camping gear, ammo and so many other things are great to buy here. If you sign up they email more coupons all the time. Dont spent the crazy money at the big places if you dont have to.

They usually have a good selection but the customer service is not good. Every time I go theres all these associates hanging out up front talking away. Then when you try to find them for help they are gone. This is always my last stop because of this. Was there tonight and another customer made the same comment. Go to Dicks, good selection and great customer service!

Big 5 is one of the few stores that hasn’t jacked up their prices on guns and ammo during the panic buying this year. Shows they care about their customers and I will buy here when they have stock.

One of my long time Favorites, Big 5. I always can depend on great service and a helpful team at every Big 5 Ive ever been to. I shop with them first when I can. Theyve been in business as long as I can remember, and Ive been around a long long time. I support Big 5 and I want them to stay in business for many more years to come.

A young man has been rude and dismissive multiple times that I’ve come in. I haven’t made a bad review because the rest of the employees have had good customer service. Patient and nice. I’m writing this today because I’ve found out that young man is a manager. Which is unacceptable.

Brought back a remote control truck we got for a Christmas present for our grandson. It stopped working the third time we used it. They refunded the purchase price and we spent the refund in the store anyway! Very nice employees.

Ive been here a lot through the last couple of years. Ive bought several firearms from this location and the staff has been super helpful and more than willing to let me just look at them while Im window shopping. My biggest beef is that the ammo there is kind of expensive.

Customer Service was poor. Attendent working in the gun area helped out after 15 min. Of us lingering area.

Sales rep in shoe dept. was very helpful. Even though the shoes I wanted were out of stock, he was able to help me with another selection that worked for me.

Great selection of ammo, and hunting gear, they also have a friendly staff, they are not as big as bass pro but it does have allot of sporting good items. If you are a fisherman they have it... If you camp they have it. Lots of choices in all aspects of sporting goods

Big five is great!

Since Big 5 doesnt offer e-gift cards I had to buy an actual gift card. I will not buy gift cards and mail them because of theft. Cashier told me I could take a pic of the gift card front and back and send to my mother-in-law for my nephew in another state. WELL, the Big5 would not take the gift card from my mother in laws cell. I called the Big5 in Temecula where I purchased, spoke to the manager and he wouldnt give me a refund even though the cashier told me they would take the gift card payment with the pic of the gift card! So pissed!

Every time I go into this store I receive the worst customer service. Cashiers are not friendly, workers are busy talking to eachother, and I have to ask for someone to help in the shoe department, then its slow and unfriendly. Very disappointing and this is always my experience in this store. I wish Dicks would have had what I needed today, Id rather give them my money than Big 5!

Tried buying ammo here and couldnt. The store manager talked in length of how he was short handed while the store was emty. Did the same thing to my brother inlaw previously who was buying a shot gun. I would avoid this location for any purchases.

Dont waste your time trying to legally purchase a firearm here. When the salesperson found that my intention was to at some point in the future legally transfer the gun I was looking at to my adult son, he refused to sell it to me.

I went in last week on Thursday. Worst customer service from a young guy in the shoe department. I drove from fallbrook. Kid didnt want to help me. He wouldnt even look to see what sizes he did have. Never going back again.

Ran in late to grab some new shoes for my son and noticed the store was neat and tidy. Huge selection of merchandise for such a small store. Really the only sports store left in the area.We were greated as soon as we walked in by female clerk and went straight back to the back of the store to look at shoes.We spent at least 10 minutes looking at the shoes and deciding on what we needed. During that time, we had been carrying shoes around hoping that someone would come up and help us get what we needed, but that never happened. The guy who was supposed to be working in the shoes section was too busy up front chatting with the female workers to notice we needed help.I finally took the shoes up front to ask for the sizes we needed because no one came back to ask if we needed anything. When I approached the male, he acted as if I was inconveniencing him. I then handed him the shoes and told him what size we needed. He took the shoes and started walking to the back to get them and then forgot the size. Then when he came back to tell us there was nothing in the size we needed I asked him to look for another one. He again acted inconvenienced by my request. Came back out and again said there was nothing back there and scurried off to the front to talk to that same female cashier.A lady walked out of the backroom and asked if we needed help and we were immediately taken care of. Sense we were having trouble finding my sons size she offered to go back and see what they had available in store around the same price we were looking at. Few mins later came out with an awesome pair of shoes my son loved! She totally went the extra mile. Great customer service skills.I removed one star because of the lack of help we recieved and the second because the guy just left us to go talk to the female up front when there was only one other customer in the entire store.

Not a good experience, I was there this Monday to buy an AR-15, because the big 5 in my area dont have any in existence so they told me that the one in Temecula has 3 types of AR-15. As I enter the store I was asked if I need any help, so I said yes I would like to see the AR-15. The lady asked me to wait by the guns department that she was going to ask the manager to show me the guns.. so I wait for a few minutes, the same lady came to that department to show me the AR-15s as she was taking off the locks the manager I think, came out of the office and said do you have the safety permit, I said no. Then she said I cant show you the guns, I was like why, she said because you might damage it, I just want to see it. She replied we are not allowed to show them, I said, I just came from the othe big 5, and they have no problem with that.. she replied I cant show it to you, I said whats the big deal... any gun store will do it... she said No. I said thank you and walked out the store.. My wife and kids 12 and 15, they felt embarrassed because I had this little argument with this lady, but I still feel that I was right.. I when to a gun store in the area, totally different I saw the AR-15, I took the test and brought it...
