I’m guessing this is a franchise location because this store is vastly under stocked for such a prime location by the lake. I don’t know if the owners just don’t care but there’s not much variety. They have some grocery items (bread, paper plates, canned goods) along with some snacks and one display of chips/candy. There’s maybe like 4 coolers of drinks and 3 coolers of ice cream and a bunch of space which they use to stack cases of drinks to refill the coolers. They can definitely utilize their space with more coolers and have so many more drink options or even alcohol or hot coffee but I think it’s too much work for the owner. The parking lot at night is horrendous. The lamp posts in the parking lot are so dim you can barely even see where you’re parking. Compared to other Beyond Food Marts this location is sub par. I only go here if I’m desperately thirsty or have a craving for ice cream and don’t wanna go far as I live by the lake but otherwise I’d stick to good ole 7-Eleven.
Me and my kids love this place.
Food is good and variety is big the only problem for me are the prices they are a little too much for small things but i guess thats the premium you pay for going to a store on the lake. Pretty clean and employees are a hit or miss depends who is working the counter but they are polite
The store has new parking restrictions. Theyve put up a few no parking signs that are barely noticeable.Today, after purchasing water and snacks at the store, my kids and I went to the lake to enjoy them. After which, had to spend $441 to get our car back after the store had it towed and lied to us about it, blaming a non existent company for calling the tow truck. Thank you for that! Way to show your compassion for your customers during these challenging times. We used to stop at this store every time going to the lake. Shame on you for putting your costumers, especially who have children, in this position.
Cashiers are not welcoming or friendly. in such an area in such a cozy shop it is awful.
They are towing cars who stay there for over 15 minutes. I only saw a single sign. The company they employ are horrible. They scam you out of as much money as possible. They threatened to fine me for over $440 dollars but suddenly when there was someone with me the price magically dropped to over $300. This such a horrible way to treat people who come to get a drink and rest for a bit. I won’t be returning and will be sure to spread this news around so no one else gets robbed blind.
A very inviting and friendly atmosphere. I believe the employees name was bell, very helpful and kind. Patient when my grandmother couldnt figure out what she wanted from the ice cream and made some helpful suggestions. Thanks for the amazing experience. 😊
This place is Beyond AMAZING. From the owner to every employee. I visit here pretty much daily. The owner, Afro, Christina and Ahbram hold a very special place in my heart for helping a family member during difficult times. I will continue to support this business they truly care about the community and their customers. They have very competitive pricing and a great selection. Afro always has a smile a hug and a laugh to offer to the customers. If you need a smile, laugh or some snacks, drinks or coffee stop in and check them out.
Such a pretty location! The store owner is incredibly kind and goes the extra mile to welcome you and provide excellent service. Their handmade sandwiches are delicious. I find them tastier then anything I could find at the winery or Old Town Temecula restaurants.
There are so many wonderful things to say about this store! It is always clean, fresh cookies and baked goods every morning. It is in a convient location with beautiful outdoor seating and views. The owner is so pleasant as are the employees. My kids go into this store often and are always welcomed with a smile
Great place and the owner is super nice! Sandwiches are awesome and made to order so you can have what you want. Butter tart is to DIE for! Very welcoming and having your dog on the patio is fine! Great for when you want to enjoy Harveston Lake.
I came to this store August 9th 2018. I live in the area and had no idea this store existed. I discovered Beyond Food Mart while taking a few laps around the lake playing Pokemon GO. It looked nice from the outside, and even more beautiful on the inside. My feet needed a little rest and being distracted by their nice selection of snacks and goodies while also catching Pokemon led me to stay longer than your average shopper.I noticed I wasnt greeted upon entering the store. I got a few looks by an employee and the store owner, but that didnt ring any bell. Few minutes went by while Im minding my own business catching Pokemon and looking and comparing prices of their items. Everything seemed fine till I was approached by the store owner. Im good at reading peoples body language and I could automatically tell he was angry. He told me to get out of the store and that I was disrespecting him and being suspicious. I told him that this was my first time here and I was simply looking at everything while playing Pokemon GO. By that time, he was in a range and disregarding everything I was saying to try to calm the situation. He then threatened to call the police on me. I told him that he could call and the police will find nothing wrong. Emptied my pockets and small backpack I was carrying to show him I had nothing on my possession except my keys, wallet, phone charger, and phone. The store owner didnt believe me. He kicked me out of the store. I left on my own will. Outside the front door, I took a picture of him for my evidence and safety. Taking pictures in public place is legal. However, this enraged him to the point where he literally cased me into the parking lot. He yelled in my face talking about how Im disrespecting him even though I was minding my whole business from the start. He was chest to chest with me. I was backing up the whole time, but he was on me. He touched me with one finger and yelled more threats to never come back.Ive never had anything like this happen to me before. People take pictures of places all the time for social media, reviews like this, etc. Never knew being on the phone while shopping could lead to such an event. I would never recommend going to this place. Because with that store owner there, something like this could happen to someone else.
Great selection and super convenient if you live in Harveston - go support this shop!
Way overpriced. They charge 3 dollars for 2 scoops of thrifty ice cream. You can get twice the ice cream for the same price at rite aid. The lake has never been more dirty. Their dumpster is constantly overflowing and causing trash to blow all over the place. Do they do anything about it? No. Overall the convenience factor of this place does not outweigh all the problems and cons to its opening. About the only thing theyre good for is a quick icee. Dont go here and support them.
