After taking my Jeep to Craig at Brake Masters, I’ll never go anywhere else. I’ve had my Wrangler for 3 years and I’ve never had it run so well. With the previous Brake Masters I visited on the west side, I’ve had to go back again and again bc it just kept squeezing. They kept explaining that it was dust and it would subside. Brake Masters was pretty good. I went in and told them what I have been having problems with my brakes and they fixed it in a timely matter. Dudes there were friendly and professional. I will come back when i need too.

They wanted to charge me $2,000When i refused, they offered to buy my car, at an offensively low price. Lug nuts were left loose enought for my tire to wobble.Choice Auto Repair asked $700 and gave me an honest evaluation.Nuff said

Website says FREE INSPECTIONS. In the past this most definitely was honored. However, recently went in for an inspection and was told I was looking at $90 dollars. $90 for a FREE INSPECTION???? Sorry, Ill go elsewhere from now on. Never in my life have I been asked to pay to have something looked at before even knowing that something is wrong. Ive spent close to $2000 at this location over the course of 12 months, never again.

They took my car in about 30 mins after my appointment. Gave me an honest assessment of my brakes and other problems with my vehicle. The brakes took about an hour. The cost was average.

Didn’t do what I asked, call them over the phone and asked them to flush my ac, came in for my appointment the exvacd it and when I asked them if they flushed it they said they wouldn’t. All after I had already paid. I was con’d out of $100

I had to go for a sudden out-of-state visit by car and wanted to get it checked (i.e.; biennial maintenance check) before I left. With the iimited time on my hand, Alex bent over backwards to get me accomodated the same day in between two office meetings. He was so cooperative and reassuring that I made an appointment for my car oil change and A/C filter change after I returned to AZ.And when I arrived, Juan at the counter was so polite and got me processed fast. And then, as icing on the cake, no charge for my regular maintenance!!! I was expecting to pay the usual amount (very reasonable) - but no charge. Of course, I cant expect every time :) but its so nice to get an unexpected freebie (which also induced me to make the appointment for the oil change).Thank you Brakemaster # 155. Honest shop! I had a squeek in my breaks and from looking i could see that the roters were a little groved. I assumed that my breaks were pretty bad. After inspection at break masters, they informed me that my breaks were fine. A lot of places I have been would have wanted to replace some things anyway. Refreshing to go to an honest shop these days!! Great place!! I was writing this in the waiting room, I agreed to the $75 inspection fee upon arrival and the guy knocked it down to $38!! 5 stars 🤩 from me.

$32.95 + $22.00 + $3.00 = $57.95 but wait, minus $20 so its $37.95 plus fees and taxes.Mind you, thats more than the advertised price for the oil change WITHOUT the coupon. Can you imagine paying SIXTY DOLLARS for an oil change? When you can go almost anywhere else and get it for half that, or even a third of that?Its not even luxurious service or fantastic oil. There nothing special, they just charge an arm and a leg, and if you have a coupon, they find a way to track up charges to basically negate the value of the coupon.Extremely dishonest. And no, I wont be calling you to discuss it like all of your canned responses invite me to do. You call me. The invoice # is 84250. Find me if you care make things right, and Ill take down this review. In the meantime, I will do my best to make people aware of what you do and how you get away with it.

If you would like to get ripped off, this is the place for you! They will do work that doesnt need to be done and not what you ask them to do. You can pay double because they will do the back tires when the front needs attention. Then you have to go back 2 weeks later because the problem isnt solved. Now they realize the problem! But it isnt their fault. You must have driven so much (grand total of about 10 miles) in the last 2 weeks that now it is a problem. $500 later your car may or may not be fixed. Maybe bring it in again next week to see if they can squeeze another $200 out of you. They will certainly find something! Great deal all the way around!

My brakes had been squeaky for some time so I took them in to get checked. They determined that the back brakes and rotors needed to be replaces. The day after going to the shop I realized the squeak never went away. two week and maybe 15 miles later I went in to have them look at it again. They proceeded to tell me that my front brakes now need to be replaced, when they had been fine two weeks ago. I am not pleased with their service and dont trust their opinion on what my car needs.

Honest work let you know upfront prices

Scheduled an appointment online and got the car dropped off pretty smoothly. Reading reviews here prior, I was prepared for them to try to upsell me after their inspection, but attempting to upsell me $1000+ was hysterical. I declined and got only what I went in for. I got my front brake pads replaced, rotors resurfaced, and back brakes adjusted for about $220 after a $35 coupon. Took about 2 1/2 hours from drop off for them to inspect and complete service.The thing that probably irked me the most is whoever serviced my vehicle got grease all over both my front seats and failed to put some plastic covers back in place. I got my seats cleaned not even a week ago. The reviews here are pretty accurate. Go in if you need a relatively quick service and know your needs and can put up with the lack of professionalism. Do not go if you are uncertain of the repairs needed because they will upsell you for days.

Dont trust this place these guys seem very nice people but theyll rip you off specially if youre a female and will do a horrible job on you car, dont let them do any mechanical work on your car other than breaks.The mechanic is there looks like Philippino he is a liar and dont do a good job I dont think he knows what he is doing, they all lie they put aftermarket parts when you paid for the originals, horrible place.Save yourself some stress and money find an honest mechanic because this is not the place.

This is the only place I take my car!!!! I recently went in to get the alternator replaced and compared to other companies I paid less! The service is great, and I do not trust any other business to work on my car. They have never told me I needed extra work done and if they do find something they don’t push me to get it done!

Great service/work/honesty! They were totally straight forward about possibly not being able to align my wheels because of being lowered on aftermarket coilovers. They suggested going to a specialist. But I said give it a shot. They got it as close as they could with the toe/camber. Which is 100% better than it was! The car tracks clean and straight now. Thanks guys!!!

I went to brake Masters for a transmission service. After we left the next day my husband drove the car and it was running rough and making a griding noise.Took it back to brake masters and it was fixed. Very satisfied with service and also with the Technicians.

These people are great! I was traveling across country from Dallas to LA when my transmission started to slip (low fluid due to heat). I brought my Honda Odyssey van here due to a recommendation from O’Reilly Auto Parts store down the street. The guy at O’Reilly was right...the people at this Brake Masters are kind, professional, and honest. They filled my van up in less than an hour and I was back on the road with my family. Great customer service very professional

Took car in to get a engine diagonsis on the phone they said they would do a smoke test and read trim lvls. When I picked up vehicle they said it had an oil leak and to replace a part that had already been repaired... I took it in for a p0171 lean code and they never actually did a in-depth diagonsis. I spent 100 for actually nothing. If you want your car looked at go somewhere else.

This is the only place I go for my auto needs. They are respectful and priced reasonably. They check your car and tell u what you need with a reasonable price. I will always go here and I hope they dont change honestly. Thank you brake Masters for your professional attitude and good work everytime.

And there are some very good and polite employees at this location but the one that really stood out was an employee by the name of josh. He was absolutely polite and very knowledgeable and he was just the cherry on top of that sundae. He went that extra mile to help someone out and I did appreciate. Honestly one of THE nicest brake masters i have ever been to. i drive 30 min from where i live just to go to this specific location, nicer than any of the ones closer to me, all of the workers are so patient and have answered all my questions and are really trying to help me get my car back to it’s former glory

This is my first experience with the new management. A very positive change! The manager? Was very clear and very professional with me. He explained the situation with clarity and repaired my truck just as he explained with no added issues. My past experience with this shop was iffy at best and I didn’t plan to use them anymore. I went there thinking I needed brakes (they were squeaky) and knowing I needed an oil change. They very honestly told me I did not need brakes. Im from out of town, so I especially appreciated their honesty considering I didnt really know where was a good place to take my car. It was a bit of a wait for the oil change, but I didnt have an appointment and they were also performing the brake inspection, so that was understandable. All in all I was very pleased to find someone honest to look at my brakes. The price for an oil change was on par with other places I have gone.

My first time going to this brake masters was pleasant the evening staff at the time helped to the best of their abilities.My second time going for service was the opposite experience. The previous day I scheduled an appointment. arrived on time, the guy at the desk wasnt pleasant at all .It took over an hour before my car was looked at, about 30mins into that process I look out the window and see a tech take off down Mill avenue in my car.....after they lifted my car for inspection, possible service, etc. I hear hammering I looked out the window to see the same tech hammering at a Lug wrench to get a my lug nuts off(totally unacceptable especially because I wasnt at the very least consulted first). Initially requested a quote for a headlight, brakes& possibly an alignment. When I made the appointment I described my vehicle (to avoided not having parts ready etc.)….They did not even have a headlight for my car. Absolutely none of my vehicle needs were met. The casing around my lugnut was completely damaged .The tech and the man at the front desk claimed thats how my vehicle was brought in for service, completely untrue. I wont be recommending or going back.

Months ago when I had a number of repairs to be done, I took my car into pep boys. They told me a number of things that had to be fixed or replaced for almost $1,000. I took it to Brake Masters for a second opinion and they gave me a much smaller quote. They did good work and they were honest, most importantly. Ive come to them a few times since and have never been disappointed.Update: My car shut down due to a bad battery and alternator. Once again, they were professional and helpful, helping me to reduce the cost. When I still didnt have the full amount they helped me get back on the road for a minimal amount with a plan to pay the rest. Theres a reason I come here for all my repairs.

The staff at all Brake Masters are nice and the technicians do a great job as well. Plus they have coupons and price match other places as well.

Came with 1 problem... left with 2 problems and even gave them 230$ for giving me the additional problem. I came in for soft brakes. They told me to redo brake fluid change and said that my car shakes when braking at high speed. I never felt the shaking but went for what they suggested. For the shaking they recommended the machining of rotors and drums. After they completed the machining my steering seems that it is like a vibrator. My car shakes as if I am driving on stones. I came back for the this and they redid the machining. Not to mentioned every time they test drove it and never admitted that the car is shaking. They started to tell me that the car is old and this happens in all the Toyota corollas. Not acceptable. At least give me my car back in the same condition, if not better. I seriously doubt if all the employees are ASE certified.... Plus lots of fake reviews.... I came to their store... Met their manager... Spend another 40$ on balancing... But that didnt help... DONT EVER CONE HERE

I have always had a good experience here. They are nice and professional. They have a shuttle service for people who live close by and they have dropped me off at my home in the past. From what I have seen the prices are very reasonable.

Love the convenience of scheduling online. When I went in they were very busy but did their best to get me out asap. I dont like upselling at all so they lost me a little on that, the other location I usually went to never did that. Otherwise was satisfied.

The guys that work here were great. It was just a small issue of a turn signal brake light bulb but never the less, they fixed it very quickly for me and happy holidays to me because nice jesters dont happen very often anymore, but these guys replaced my bulb at no charge.

Dishonest as hell. I went for a scheduled oil change with a mailer coupon. It was supposed to be about 16 bucks. To my surprise, my car is just so special that it needs a different more expensive oil, and the coupon is only for the plain stuff. But they say theyll give me a discount anyway. So Im thinking Im gonna spend 20-30 bucks instead of 16. Nope! 42 bucks. Mind you, the advertised price on their counter (without my coupon) for the oil they said I need is about 36 bucks. And they said they gave me a discount. And they said they had to charge more for my special oil cartridge, too. So let me get this straight. WITHOUT a coupon, I would have paid about 65 bucks for an oil change that is advertised for 35 bucks? There was no logical acrobatics that could get me to understand or agree that 42 bucks is fair for an oil change, yet alone with a coupon. I get it done regularly at other places for less than that, without a coupon. I gave them a chance and their dishonesty failed me. They will charge you whatever they want and find ways to justify it. Dont do business with them.

From the moment we walked in the door, we felt like we should be there. Have always taken our BMW to BMW dealer for repairs but we wanted to see what they could do. Daniel was responsive and explained what they could do and gave price options. He encouraged us to let them do an inspection and give an estimate which we arranged the next day. He called me when the parts came in and I took me car there and he took it in. Communicated with me on what they found and did what he said they would do. Workers seemed very happy there and I enjoyed watching the intetactions led by Daniel. Repair took a couple hours but worth it.

I cannot say enough good things about this store. They are friendly and extremely helpful, they were willing to work with me and explained what was needed. I will be returning!

Dont take your classic car here and expect the job done right. I went here to get my brakes bled and get an alignment, grease / replace all my grease fittings and check all my lines for leaks .Needless to say.. I had to go over everything.. brake lines leaking everywhere, and grease fittings missing and ball joints and tie rod ends was not greased. I paid 67.00 to stand there and watch them put the youngest mechanic on an old classic . He didnt know what he was doing. Id suggest you find else where to go if you have a classic that needs some tender love n care. Dont go here!

I took my infiniti in to Brake Masters in Tempe on May 3rd, 2018 to drop it off, overnight. I had the brakes replaced (rotors & pads) Josh was a huge help, which is a huge turn around from the last time I had my brakes replaced in August of 2017.He was upfront & professional while displaying constant courtesy. Shocked so with great pride I can say this place is a 110% the best auto repair or brake shop in the area. I had my oil changed there for a very reasonable charge and rotated my tires for free!!! Thats good business and thats why I will return.

Went into brake masters to get my alignment checked and fixed because my car was pulling to one side- waited an hour just to be told that my control arms were worn and needed to be replaced and that they wouldnt align my tires until this was fixed. since a $60 repair skyrocketed to $700, i went elsewhere to get a second opinion. my car is 8 years old with only 46k miles on it, no way my control arms should be a problem. found out that NOTHING was wrong with my control arms whatsoever and a caster was out of line. thankfully i have a dad who used to be a mechanic and knows that i was about to get screwed out of money for no reason. instead of screwing college girls or women in general out of money, be more honest and y’all would get more customers.

Find somewhere else...find anywhere else. One store in Scottsdale failed to identify contaminated brake fluid (was black and had consistency of honey) on my mothers vehicle and she could have gotten seriously hurt but thankfully only got a ticket when her brakes failed going through a red light. The service advisor that put my mother in serious harms way is now located in the Tempe location, Al. So that was a wonderful surprise seeing him there again.When I went to take advantage of their basic brake service for $90 per axle I expected the typical up-selling and incompetence...and low and behold folks I was not disappointed. They tried to up-sell me a brake flush as well as replacing the grease seals. The service advisor recommend just going ahead and buying new ones for the latter in case they broke them while removing the rotors...they wanted me to pay in advance for parts they said were likely going to break on my car when they did repairs. Apparently they too are aware of the quality of their work.I declined both and thankfully the seals didnt have to be replaced (from spite or incompetence) during the service so that was nice. Upon checking out they still had the cost of the approximately $50 brake flush on the order and I had to ask them to remove it which they promptly did. Whether that was done with bad intentions thinking I may miss it or again incompetence I dont know.While leaving after a 3 hr experience drop off to pick up I found my vehicle unlocked in the parking lot. Fortunately I had nothing in value of the vehicle but still another note of poor service again from Brake Masters.So in conclusion, I went in with low expectations and Brake Masters obliged to disappoint. I should know better from my previous experiences but it appears the poor service can be expected at more than just one location.

Id give it a zero if I could.I made an appointment, because like everyone else in life Im busy. Since they are not the ones who told me I need brakes he said they would do a free inspection first. I mentioned I needed to leave by a certain time to make my next appointment, he then said it was a few hours wait. I asked why I even made an appointment. He then tried to use a dentist reference which doesnt work for me, I use to work in a dentist office. I explained how thats not true, took my key and left. I dont have hours to sit around. And I doubt anyone else does too.

I dropped my Jetta off for a check engine light code and James called me to recommend some additional services that at 115,000 miles, my car needed. We have had a few issues with our van since we arrived in Arizona, and this Brake Masters has helped us out on multiple occasions. Sometimes fixing my vehicle takes longer than I would hope, which seems to be because they are often very busy. Yet the service is always friendly at a minimum.

Absolute bait and switch crooks. A $24.95 air conditioning special cost me over $200! I got into an argument with the manager over their over inflated price per pound of refrigerant. Its a wonder they stay in business.
