The techs were personable, but their actual skills were not great. The wax seems ineffective with thick hair. I think it’s called European for a reason haha. Will not return.

Today was my first time at this location. I requested Amber as my waxer based on many good reviews that she has, and my services were for an underarm, Brazilian, and upper legs. Amber was very friendly and good conversation. If you want a speed waxer Amber will give you SPEED! She told me shes been a waxer at this location for 7 years, and she did my 3 services in a half hour. The wax was the perfect temperature not too hot, and most of the service was completely painless too, aside from a couple pulls during the Brazilian.However, for the price I am paying (over $100) efficiency is very important, and thats why I am only giving 3 stars. At the end of my leg wax Amber poured a ton of powder on my thighs and then asked me to check for any stray hairs. She didnt ask for my feedback on my underarms or Brazilian, but I didnt think much of it at the time. It was hard to see my fine hairs with so much powder on my legs, but I pointed to a couple patches of hair I noticed and she did do some cleanup on those. I could tell she was rushing to get to her next guest, but I didnt mind as I am an Esthetician myself so I totally understood the need to keep on schedule, plus with her having worked at this location for so long I assumed there wouldnt really be many stray hairs. The post-wax serum was not applied to my underarms or my bikini area at all, and one pump of serum was briefly spread over just the tops of my thighs.When I got off the bed there was a cloud of powder that fell to the ground, and I tried to dust off the rest before getting dressed. Usually when I come to EWC they apply the pre-wax oil before starting the wax - its part of their 4 step process - but she never used the oil she just used powder, and I can understand applying a bit of powder to combat moist skin, but I wasnt super sweaty or anything and the thermostat read 66°. When I went to the front to checkout a guest waiting politely let me know I had white powder on the back of my clothes, I was so embarrassed.Honestly I could have gotten past the whole powder situation just fine if I had gotten a clean wax, but when I got home and took a look at things I realized there were a ton of stray hairs on my underarms and bikini area, and whole strips of hair missed on the tops of my thighs. I realized that must have been why she covered my thighs in powder; she didnt have time to complete my upper legs before her next guest so she tried to cover them in powder to hide the horribly patchy job she did. And look, I understand that these waxers get scheduled back-to-back and nearly always have another guest up front already waiting... but is it unreasonable to go 5 minutes over to make sure you are providing a quality service? It seems that to some waxers quantity is more important, which is really disappointing.I spent a half hour tweezing the stray hairs on my underarms and bikini, but Im going to have to wax the patches of hair on the tops of my thighs myself. I cant see or reach the backs of my thighs very well which is why I prefer to get them waxed professionally, so I sure hope there arent noticeable patches on the backs of them that I cant see. Going in I was really optimistic with Amber because of her friendliness and her years of experience, but if I go back to this location I am going to see a different waxer.

I’ve had my eye brows waxed many times but Tanya at the Rio Salado European Wax always does it perfect every time! I’m picky on the shape and it always comes out just the way I want it. Highly recommend her if you want your brows to be on point!

My waxer was very nice and made me feel very comfortable during my first Brazilian. I will say i was told i was getting a free waxing with my service and i ended up getting charged for it having to pay with 3 different cards and the front desk asked me if i was giving a tip 4 times before i asked why i was being charged for something i thought was free and she was like well u could of gotten a free waxing so next time u come u can i dont want to go back i was swindled out 89 bucks!!

I had my first Brazilian wax today with Madison C. after seeing what fantastic reviews she has had and let me tell you- the rumors are true!! Madison was extremely pleasant and helpful throughout the entire duration of the visit. She talked me through the wax and was also very professional and kind. She made my first experience a great one and I will be going back to her. If you are thinking about getting a Brazilian I definitely recommend her. The ladies at the front desk were also very nice, although I did not catch their names. Overall, very nice place and great experience.

I always have a great experience here. The front desk ladies are personable. All the esties are nice as well although they never offer to wax my toes when I do a lower leg even though thats part of the service. Figured that out at a different location.

After reading the reviews about Front Desk Nancy, I was hesitant. She was super friendly and amiable as soon as I walked in, so Im not sure why other experienced a seemingly different person. Belle was also very sweet at the front desk. Lyssa gave me an eyebrow wax and gave me some information about the way my hair grows (or doesnt). Ill definitely be back.

I just really have not had good experiences here. Im only giving them an extra star because I think there was the one time I had a lady do a pretty good and clean job with my upper lip wax. She even tweezed away the stray hairs. I had her for a session or two, but then I could not find her again there.Besides that, its been pretty subpar. The wax people all look grumpy and they give off the vibe that they dont care. I had one lady wax me in places that dont even have hair. In another session, my hair was waxed in the wrong direction... (?) In yet another session, the person took over 20 minutes going over my upper lip again and again in different directions- seems shady... like what could be taking so long?I finally gave up on this place.

Went today for a birthday present to myself. And the process went great. Receptionist were amazing and gave me really helpful advice and information. I love that you can get points too! Made me feel less scared and awkward. Definitely would go back again ❤

First time going in for a Brazilian wax with McKenzie and she was great for the most part. There were still many hairs that were left over and a good amount around my butt that were not removed. But since it was my first time, I wasnt too concerned if some stragglers were left behind.My main issue for the 3 stars was that one of the front desk girls, specifically Layla, was so off putting and rude that it made me want to just go somewhere else.Maybe she was having a bad day, but when you are literally the first thing a prospective customer sees/has to deal with; it doesnt leave a good impression, and might make people search for services elsewhere.

Honestly I love this place and Madison is AMAZING! She’s super sweet and funny but does a kick ass job at eyebrows and Brazilian. In fact I used to not care which waxer I saw (because they’re usually pretty good anyways) but now I only see Madison! I’ve been going to European Wax Center since I was in high school and have been to multiple locations and they’re all good. Very clean facilities with only female waxers! They offer student discounts on wax passes and if you’re out of town and need a quick wax you can use the passes at any location! If you’ve never been waxed before go to Madison, she’s gentle and walks you through everything but she also does a fantastic job!

My first time was today and I had the unfortunate chance of having Morgan. I informed her that it was my first time. As Im preparing to lay on the table and she is like okay expect to bleed and blah blah blah. Im like okay. She preps me and lays the wax from the bottom by my butt up towards my hip. Attempt to take that long strip off, and she was not successful and is continuously yanking away. So at this point Im jumping and Im pain. After she does my stomach she says you going to have to be still if I am going to continue. I informed her like can she be little more delicate and not do it so much at once. Her reply was no I have appointments after you and that will take to long, at the point Im like ok thats fine you can stop and she says well you still have to pay even though I didnt finish because I performed the service. Which I am not stupid and wasnt trying to get out paying. At this point I was internally livid and will never do that again. Morgan was to insensitive around my private areas!

The rest of the girls do a fine job,..stay away from Amber if youre getting a Brazilian. She rushes and leaves big patches behind. Go to her if you dont mind spending $50 on a job you could have done better at home on your first try.

I made my first appointment for this place a week ago, but had to cancel and reschedule an appointment. I called and was answered by a receptionist named Madison. She sounded annoyed with my request and like she hated her job. I just figured she had a long day and began giving her my information to cancel my appointment. She abruptly hung up on me before I could ask her questions about rescheduling. Working as a waiter in the service industry myself I was infuriated. That is awful customer service. I called back to ask for the manager to complain, and a different receptionist answered telling me the manager would not be back until the next day... Im not even sure what kind of business is allowed to operate without a manager in the building at any given time. Although this receptionist was less snappy, she also hung up on me without any Thanks or Good bye. Thanks for saving me the trouble of coming in person ladies. I will not be attempting any other appointments with such a rude front desk.

Ive been coming here for my Brazilian Wax for a while now with Madison. She listens to all my problems & sometimes fun stories as I try to distract myself from the little pain. It shows that she knows what she is doing thats why shes my girl.

I have been going to European Wax Center for over a year. I enjoy the quick wax services provided by the company. However, I am very disappointed with the level of customer service from the receptionists. After being placed on hold for a few minutes I finally get a chance to speak with a receptionist. Once I get a chance to talk to receptionist, Courtney, I explain to her I wish to book an appointment and then she hangs up on me. That was completely rude and when I called back the second receptionist put me on hold a second time and was just as stoic as Courtney. Overall I like the service offered by the company, but I highly recommend management improve their level of customer service.

The girl that does my waxes is amazing! Her name is Morgan. She is very thorough, makes me feel comfortable and she is very attentive. I will continue to go as long as Morgan is there

I am concerned at the lack of service at this Tempe Market Place Location. First I cannot believe they have no manger; MANAGING this location as it is evident they need one.My wife call 4 time’s today and was hung up on 2 xs and disconnected 2xs. When she did get a hold of a person she put her on hold for an additional 5.24 minutes....THIS IS UNACCERPTABLE !!!!!My wife & daughter both have been customers for well over 5 years in another state . We relocated to AZ and the difference is day & night. The saddest part they dont have regard for their clients and dont have a clue.It cost a lot of money to maintain yourself as a women and I for one LOVE to see my wife feeling sexy and beautiful form the inside out...however this place gave her anxiety and I caution you before you make an appointment here .

I got my eyebrows waxed and the girl never consulted with me once, she just started waxing. She rushed and now i am left with the worst brows on earth. She waxed the end off of my brow on the right. They are so thin and gross and not how i wanted them at all. She obviously wasn’t a professional. This was my first time here and I will never be going back. They look like the eyebrows on the wii characters. i’m literally so upset and cried in my car after. Thank you european wax center for making me want to cry everytime i look in the mirror.
