Quality work! They know what they are doing and get it done right the first time. He wont let you waste money on bad engine or wasteful upgrades. Fair price and clean shop and his dog comes to work with him! If you want your boat to get top performance this is the place! Because life is better on the lake!

This review is a bit late, but still wanted to share. I took my boat in for repair at the end of March. I talked to Brett over the phone, made an appointment and got right in. Within a week or so, Brett had my boat repaired and it runs like a champ! Brett stayed true to his original quote he gave me and I greatly appreciate that. You dont find a lot of honest people these days unfortunately, but Brett and his crew at CP did a great job. Ive been to a couple different shops over the last 15 years and will definitely visit Brett again when needed. Thanks again, Brett! Weve been to Lake Pleasant 3 times since the repair and the boat runs great!

Ive taken our Fourwinns to Brett for 3 years now. Annual service mostly. He is honest and trustworthy, doesnt do unnecessary repairs and is fair priced. Work is always top notch. I live in Flagstaff and tow to CP Marine for service even though there are other good shops much closer to home. Good people who do excellent work is worth the drive.

Timely repair with call and text updates -- the way it should be. I solicit confidence in anyone I do business with and Brett definitely has confidence in his work and problem solving. He took in my 2 Stroke Mercury EFI on a Friday, I test drove the following Wednesday, and sold on Thursday the next day. The engine ran better than ever before. CP Marine is my go to moving forward.

I took my recently purchased 1994 Craft-masters bass boat in to be serviced/tuned up, amongst a Variety of other issues. The quality of communication and results were great. He even went out of his way to provide a copy of the owners manual for my trolling motor.

Great first impression. We are new boaters, and found CP marine online. Took my boat in to fix an aft chair, mount a trailer wheel, and fix a ladder. The service was great, the price was reasonable, and it was done super fast. They even double checked my engine fluids for me. Brett rocks. I will be using CP for my annual maintenance and all of my boating repairs. Highly recommend.

Great place. Dave was awesome and was very straight forward and honest. He could have easily done work that I didnt need to do to earn a buck. Instead he took the time to explain what was needed to get my problems resolved. I will most definitely be coming back for any repairs in the future big or small. I own a 1997 Odyssey 25 foot pontoon boat with a Volvo Penta drive system. It is extremely difficult to work in the engine compartment due to space limitations. Brett has always been very patient and has done great work on my boat at a very reasonable price. He was always on time and did the work for Usually less than what he quoted. He recently replace the starter and the shifter and now my boat runs like it’s new! I will not be using another mechanic!Rob Anderson.

Having been screwed over by another repair shop in the valley, this place wanted to make sure that I had a good experience. they took care of me right away and made sure that the problem(made by other shop) was resolved. they even went so far as to vouch for me and to help me get a refund for the botched job that the previous shop had done on my boat. We have had so many bad experiences over the years with boat maintenance/repair people! It is nearly impossible to find someone that is honest, capable, experienced and trustworthy when it comes to working on boats! How blessed we are to have found Brett! There is no one better, more knowledgeable or more trustworthy than him! Storing our boat in the Marina, there are closer, more convenient places that can work on boats but there is no one we trust with the exception of Brett! Our past experiences with other companies have been nothing short of a nightmare! If you want your boat taken care of and repairs and maintenance done right with someone you can actually trust, knows what theyre doing and will do right by you, do whatever it takes, drive however far and dont make the same mistakes we did and take it somewhere else. This is the only place you can count on!

I called these guys for some help with a starting issue on my boat. I was surprised that they were more into helping me solve the problem, than taking my money. He could have easily said I would have to look at it. Instead, he helped me solve the problem. I will definitely use them when I have something serious.

Poor WorkmanshipThis is in response to the owners comment: I have given your company multiple opportunities and $3000 to resolve the overheating issue with my boat. I have also incurred an additional $1250 in tow fees, after having my boat serviced at your company. After you replaced the sea-pump and impeller, you never flushed the system to remove old debris and broken impeller pieces - you had confirmed you did. This caused a blockage at the power steering cooler. Other items from your repairs: a bushing missing on installation of trim gauge sender, which it then failed the second time, and you charged me for this. You installed 2 new batteries with stripped terminals and negative cables where loose; I had to purchase new hardware and fix this myself. No care was taken on engine hatch, shock mounts, latch, and straps, which were damaged every time I had my boat serviced at your company.

Brought my 30 year old boat to CP Marine, Brett was very upfront and honest with me on the parts that I needed for my boat to run and drive good. He got all the parts that I needed and installed in a timely matter, I was back on the lake in no time and my boat ran phenomenal. CP Marine is the place to take your boat! Brett will take good care of you and your boat! A very honest owner. Quote was accurate and work was done quick and got us back out on the lake. Boat has worked great since work has been done. They went above and beyond for me. Brett has extensive boat knowledge and was even able to work on a Berkeley Jet Drive. Most shops seem afraid of boats like this but Brett was more than comfortable with my Kachina boat! When I picked the Boat up we even had a conversation about some small things I could do and where I could pick up the parts to do on my own if I wanted. Or just to order the part and he would also install for me. Just a real down to earth guy that knows what good business is. Not taking advantage of the customer and making them feel appreciated! Will be using them for as long as I have a boat. Finally found a good and honest boat mechanic!

Great place to do business. Brett is very helpful. I needed trim cylinder parts and he had them. When I went to pick them up he asked how I was going to remove the end caps as it needed a special wrench. He offered to do that for me. When I tried to pay him for his service he refused say that is part of customer service. Not many places like that left in this world. I highly recommend him. Any future boat work will be given to Brett.

My husband and I bought a used bought from a couple who owned it for over a decade and kept good maintenance records with annual tune ups/repairs. We are getting ready for our first big trip to the lake with all the kids and took it to CP Marine. The service rep had our boat ready as promised in time for the weekend and running great. The price estimate matched the price we paid when we picked it up. We will be taking our boat back to CP Marine and will recommend them to anyone else in need of boat maintenance.

During the week of May 13th I called CP Marine on two different days, two days apart, and left a message on voicemail requesting a call back to schedule service. I never received a call back. On May 23rd I completed an online service request through their website. The site says ...you will be contacted within 48-hours by a service advisor. With the holiday I assumed I would be contacted by May 28th. Its May 31st and I have not received a call back.

I take my 21’ Blue Water Mirage with the Alpha One Gen 2 outboard and Vortec 4.3 V6 to CP Marine for service because I trust the owner, his service price is right and I know he’s a highly skilled master boat mechanic. One look at his service garage tells you that people trust him with some pretty expensive boats. Even race boats. I always get an honest evaluation of what’s needed and what is going to be needed but can wait until the next season. On one occasion just arriving at the lake, I was going down my check list and I thought I broke the throttle lever on my carb, so I took some pics and texted them to him. He responded right away and told me it was the choke and where the hole in the spring is to put it back. Instead of calling it a day, my family was boating and having fun.

Received great service on my 96 Nordic at CP Marine. Brett is a stand up guy and provided me with an explanation and pictures of any additional items that needed attention besides the annual service I brought it in for. He understands that not all boat owners are swimming in money. He works to find the most cost effective solution to keeping your boat running well.

I am very pleased with the service I received from Brett at CP Marine in Tempe. I was lucky enough to get same day service but you shouldnt expect that to always be the case. Brett communicated with me well and the estimate he gave was exactly what I ended up paying after service was completed. A lot of places lure you in with unbeatable prices but then they just take shortcuts and still sock you with several hundred dollars of additional required work before you get your boat back. **Update after another service experience** Dropped my boat for service on July 3rd, 2018 @ 7:30am in the morning to diagnose and fix a bad gear oil leak in the lower unit. Brett called me at 11:30am same day. He says to me...Boats ready. Seriously...he turned my repair around in 4 hours of dropping the boat with him. Amazing service. Oh, and his dog is cool too.Brett is the most straight forward and up front business man that Ive encountered in the marine repair industry. He communicates everything that is going on while diagnosing a problem, patient in his troubleshooting (believe me, I had a challenging boat for him this summer) - and in the end, delivers consistently above and beyond the call of service duty.The other thing youll find with CP Marine - is that he gets on your boat right away...none of this drop it off and the work starts 3 weeks later like at many big boat dealers.Brett is The Man. Have decided to sell my pontoon boat and wanted to have someone check out the out drive. .Saw the ratings on CP Marine and arranged with owner Brett to take it to his shop yesterday. Brett and his Assistant used the forklift to repositiion the boat to hook up water, had me run the engine and test the gears and his conclusion was very thing was good. So when I asked how much I owed him for his labor and analysis, he refused any money. How many boat repair shops would do that??? Many Thxs Brett and I hope my comments will convince others to have you handle their boating needs.

I want to share my experience. I have been working on restoring a boat for about 6 months now and Im to the final steps. I was having issues finding a set of controls that would work for my engine/outdrive setup. I was referred to cp marine by a friend of mine in the boat business. It was my lucky day. I stopped in and talked to brett. Explained my setup to him, and he walked me out to the shop. Pulled a throttle/shift setup out of an old parts bin and said here you go. No charge.cp marine made my day and a customer for life. When its time for fine tuning, Ill be bringing my boat to them forsure.

We have used Brett @ CP Marine for the last 4 years, I will not take my boat anywhere else. Its not always convenient for me living in Casa Grande (48 miles one way) to get it to him, but always well worth it. I lost the motor in my 1999 Mariah, he went out of his way to meet me at his shop after hours and helped me decide if it was worth fixing or not. Once he showed us that it was worth fixing, went over pricing which was reasonable and what he told us when finished, we scheduled the repairs. He not only fixed it ahead of time, with great communication (pictures & videos) of what was going on, he stayed late so I could drop off & pick it up. We were back on the lake this weekend, the boat ran perfect, no issues what so ever. I highly recommend Brett and would not trust our boat with anyone else.
