What an amazing store. You could easily lose hours in here. They have all sorts of table games. Simple fun card games to the very detailed ones like Warhammer. They have all accessories you need, too. I would highly recommend this place for people of all ages. They even have a little kids game sections where some of the adult table top games have been recreated for our little role players. Go check it out.

Place was nice. Really wanted to buy a new table top game for the family, but I am new to scene. I tried to talk to the person that was working there but he just kept talking to what Im guessing are regulars. I ended up just leaving after waiting around for about 20 min.

I remember when this was near ASU. Its been around forever.Interesting mix of minis/wargames, CCGs, CFGs, RPGs, card and board games, and everything else.

If youre a retro gamer, this is a place youll want to come back too. They hold a large collection of games from previous consoles for purchase. Youll also find collectables, and a large bin of Legos youll be able to pick and choose from.

Great place to visit and support your local gaming store. TTRPG, miniatures, board games, collectible card games. Family owned, knowledgeable place. 1 star knocked off not because of the store, but limited distribution has made some products hard to get, and had led to some empty shelves and limited pre-orders.

I visited with a friend on a slow day after having not been here since before Covid. Didnt buy anything because was waiting on a paycheck, unfortunately. The place has weathered the pandemic well. Sure, the tables are off limits for now but the rest of the place is great looking still, and still has a pretty good selection. Im also liking that they sell Citadel paints for cheaper than most places Ive shopped. Will definitely be a customer in the future.

There are some great gaming stores in Phoenix, but to my mind, Game Depot is the cream of the crop. Not just role playing games, but board games and collectible cards games, gaming supplies (that you cant find at other gaming stores) and a friendly and knowledgeable staff. 5 stars every time I go there.

While you can get these games for less online, that isnt why you go to a game store! Love this place!!!

This was a nice surprise and a very cool place to visit. It has a little bit of something for everyone, from paintable figures, to a wide boardgame variety, to deck builders, collector items, etc.. the list goes on. The people there are super helpful as well pointing out sales and clearance, informing about promos and upcoming events plus new releases. I would highly recommend this place for newcomers and veterans.

We had a great time shopping here, the folks there were super knowledgeable about dungeons & dragons lore and figurines. They also had good recommendations as far as paints and handling miniatures. The staff was friendly and accommodating as they could be given the covid-19 social guidelines. They also had a really cool competition of who could paint a red dragon figurine the best. Some of the local entries were amazing, I liked R23. Kicking myself because I forgot to take pictures!!! Doh!

Best customer service youll ever find. My daughter left her cowgirl boot behind and an employee searched the parking lot and found it when I called. When we went back they had put a package of cookies in the boot for her. Oh, and they sell excellent games too.

Ive been going to Game Depot for the past 15 years. Dave and Patty are some of the friendliest and nicest people Ive ever met. From the moment I walked in at 12 years old Patty was busy welcoming me in and actually talking to me. She then went out of her way to introduce me to people playing Warhammer, the game that brought me into the store. This has been my experience throughout the years at Game Depot. Game Depot has been a store where Ive made alot of very good friends that are dear to me and it has also helped me reconnect with friends from when I was younger!The store has an extensive inventory from hobby stuff to board games to card games. On any normal day, youll have players playing on the tables and there are always events and leagues going on.Whether youre looking to make new friends, find the next competition, or have a place where you can meet up with your friends to play some games and have some great fun, Game Depot is the place to be!

Been going to Game Depot the past 4 years, there is not a better tabletop/hobby shop in all of the valley! Ive driven all around the valley to check them all out and Game Depot always has them beat. Great selection of miniatures, paints, tabletop games, MTG, dice etc. Best part of the store is their back table that has some gem board games on sale, and the owners are absolutely wonderful and caring people. They will go above and beyond to make sure your experience is great. They once even took my name down to reserve a miniature for me they knew they were getting in, every other shop I have been to has a first come first serve but they really care about their customers. Been going to the Depot for decades. I mostly make Dave order what I want. Some of the stuff he ends up selling and some he just looks at me and shakes his head. But he is always nice about ordering it.He also has good recommendations if you ask him.

The few times I have been here the staff have been extremely friendly and helpful. It is obvious they are passionate about games and helping others find something they will enjoy. There is an awesome selection of games and accessories here. They also host lots of events, though I have yet to attend any. While some things might be a bit cheaper on amazon, you cant beat the quality of care and investment from the people who work here. It is worth it to support your local shop!

Watch your wording with the staff and be clear about what you need. I was trying to get ideas for wifes gifts; asking to see different products and it was a challenge speaking with one of the younger guys. I didnt know what was new in stock or what was new. A lady saw and came around to take over helping me. Found a great card box and dice bag.

These guys have some good items for sale which includes some unique board/card games. They have a space dedicated to playing as well. The shop is clean and organized. The owners are what gives this review 4 stars as an interaction is short and borderline rude.

Probably the best mom and pop shop I have ever been to. Not only are they very knowledgeable but they are also very nice and it feels genuine and like you are a part of the family. Game Depot is sincerely one of the best places to go shopping. Between the wonderful store owners and the fantastic selection of games, one is never more than a moment away from a meaningful addition to their board game collection, but can also spend hours deciding on which one they want the most.

The owners Patty & Dave are extreamly sweet and helpful. They always made me feel very welcome and went out of their way to help connect me with other local gamers. I buy all my games and accessories here.

The owners are always fair, responsive on Facebook, and helpful. Recently I picked up a box of the much demanded Jump Start, they could have pulled my reservation and resold it for literally double what they sold it to me, but they didnt. I preordered two and they asked me if I could live with one so they could make sure other customers got their share of product as well. Totally fair, given the demand, and again they sold it at MSRP. Game Depot has been a responsible member of the community during the COVID crisis as well.

Great place for board games

Game Depot is the heart and soul of Phoenix area gaming and has been for decades. Ive been going there since I was a kid. Ive made friends there that have lasted a lifetime. Im middle aged now and as long as the door is open Ill be going.

Usually Im there with our family gamer, but even when Im not they are super helpful and friendly and dont make me feel like an out-of-the loop outsider. Highly recommended!

This game store is the best one Ive been to yet. If Im ever in the market for a new game I know I can come here and get recommendations and know whats currently the hottest game! Great store, very large selection of awesome and bizarre games. I ended up getting a small, what was I am sure a less popular card type game about pit crews. To my amazement, the store owner was behind the counter and recognized the game a told me all about it. It really reassured my purchase was perfect for a family game, just what I was looking for. The owner clearly loves games and can help direct you to the perfect one. There was a whole room setup with a tournament going on, so looks like a great hangout place to play new games. I will be returning for sure.

Great selection of board and table top games of all kinds. Very nice staff who were helpful and nice to kids. A lot of interesting and obscure titles as well as more mainstream ones. They have tables to play games at with plenty of space.

Do not pay with card. I was double charged and my bank was unable to resolve the dispute then the owner said he isnt responsible if the bank cant resolve the dispute. DO NOT pay with card. The employee even said they are always having trouble with their system on the day I purchased. I shouldve known better.

Great selection of newer games mixed with classics and very friendly staff

This place has an amazing selection of board/tabletop games. I cant rate based on anything MtG related besides that their playing area was large and looked very clean and tidy. Only complaint is the the staff wasnt the friendliest and seemed way more interested in conversing with the regulars than with us. But other than that I think we will definitely be back just for the great selection of games if nothing else.

I’ve had a couple months to test my theory and have found, without a shadow of a doubt, the store owner (male specifically) is racist. When you stand at the counter for almost 30 minutes and don’t get helped it just a seems like poor customer service. However, if you are white (or have a pale complexion) you get helped INSTANTLY.

Go there every Thursday for mtg drafts. People are nice. Staff (mostly Dave and Patty) make the store feel like home and have given me and my dad so many good deals and offers. The always help us when needed and are nice and funny all the time. I highly suggest checking them out. They are the coolest. If your in the area and you are in to mtg net runners or just want to pick up a board game for the family and kids. This is your place no other like it five stars for my favorite shop

I havent found a game yet that they couldnt talk about in detail and answer questions about. Often theyll pull out something and play with you for a few minutes if they have time. Tons of board games and RPG stuff. They also have events and space for groups. They always have special edition D&D books, which is the main reason I go in. The few people I always see working here are super friendly.

VERY friendly staff! Had demo games set up and ready to go, and even had a kid teaching kids games, which was fantastic - first time my daughter stayed busy enough to let us shop and try games. Selection is fairly good - what they dont have they were more than willing to check on, and even took notes if people were asking. So much better of a shopping experience than the outpost on the west side.

Fairly standard in terms of board games, prices are certainly higher than average, selection is decent but not significant. Staff acknowledges you upon entrance but you dont hear from them afterwards, which is either good or bad depending on your perspective.

Do not expect help from the employees though, we had a few questions about a popular game being suitable for gateway gamers and all we got was, I dont know. This is about the best FLAGS (Friendly Local Area Gaming Store) Ive been in as far as role playing games go. The store is well stocked with the latest stuff. The couple who runs the store are really nice. I moved up to North and buy most of my stuff from Game On in Prescott now but when in Tempe I always make it a point to stop by.
