This is a very cool store. They have a lot of different types of games here. Lots of D&D stuff. Great variety of dice! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. A great place to visit for all your gaming needs.

Ive never been there, but I messed up on the shipping address not once, but twice. I received a courteous email informing me of this and asking if Id like to try it again or obtain a full refund. Seeing as how theyre the only ones on the internet at the time that had what I was after, I asked them to ship it again. My area code was wrong. They fixed it. I received the product in perfect condition, it was exactly what I ordered, and I received it in a timely fashion.Very pleased. I will buy from them again and check them out if Im ever in the area.

Loved the place! Great selection of boardgames, RPGs, MtG and other card games, and a lot of miniature stuff. Staff is friendly and patient with all my newcomer questions. They also have a lot of room to play games there; looks like a nice place to hang out, try out new games from their board game library, and dust of the old decks. Will definitely come back!

With almost 3 decades of gaming experience on multiple continents, I have yet to find a gaming store that can even stand in armada shadow. Competitive prices, knowledgeable staff, fun environment, and great events. If you are in search of a local flgs accept no substitute. If you are looking for a online retailer their web site and dedication to customer service and timely delivery is second to none.

Definitely the best place to play a magic commander game every Thursday. Besides the great people that come to play games, the staff are super helpful with any kind of question you might have and are pretty nice too.

Im not sure if Mike still works here but he really made this place special. Amazing selection, mostly friendly staff and tons of people around playing all the best meta games for the most part. Cheap compared to a lot of places and they will even let you trade in/sell cards if they need them for a decent value! MtG is my game of choice and they are phenomenal with holding tournaments for it etc. Will always return here when looking to buy or play!!!!!!!!

Absolutely enjoyed my experience at this place. We went in to casually browse some board and card games, thinking we could just look around and then buy online.Upon entering, we noticed that the place is clean and has a variety of amazing board and card games, some of which are also hard to find. Their prices are competitive and in some cases cheaper than what you would find on Amazon.We had quite a few questions and the owner (Michael, I think) seemed to be the only one around so he asked for our patience until he finished up with another customer and then came to help us. He was patient in answering our questions on various board games, taking the time to explain some concepts and also provided his experiences on those that he had played. He also helped us pick out a few games for friends, and he did so by asking us their preferences, play style and more to give a more tailored set of options rather than recommend the hottest game on the market.I was quite impressed with his overall service. I usually buy board games from Amazon, but his quality of service and patience has earned a loyal customer.

Armada is still my go to Games Workshop, Citadel, and Army Painter supplier in Tampa Bay. They also have a great selection of board and card games.

I have been going to Armada for about 14-16 years now and always have an amazing experience. The pandemic hasnt put a damper on their spirit and they still hold true to the phrase Where everyone knows your game. Michael (owner) is awesome. I bring my Girl Scouts in to play games. He takes the time to explain and review. He is great about making sure the the place is family friendly. My girls love it and they always want to go back.

The wife and I went for the first time today, and it was a great experience. They were help, especially Chad. He answered all our questions while providing great advice in our new tabletop experience with Warhammer 40k. Defiantly will make that my go to place.

Awesome collection of 40k warhammer models and paints.Some rare ones and unlike a lot of stores you can get most things for around the same price as on Amazon.They could have been more engaging with what we were looking at but they did ask up several times if we needed help over the 45 min we were browsing.Overall a great experience. Ill be back for certain.

We always love going here. The people working are very nice and informative. They also have a nice selection of games, dice, cards, and minis.

Massive stock of Warhammer products and accessories as well as a huge variety of paint and paint accessories. The staff is generally friendly, however we had one issue with a male employee who made a sexist remark directly to my fiance while we were purchasing some product. I dont think it was of malicious intent, however it was insensitive and unprofessional. Im giving them 4 stars because I dont think this one issue represents the store, and Ive had mostly positive interactions with all the other employees.

Always such an incredible experience going in to this shop. Everyone is friendly and will literally walk away from what theyre doing in order to help you with even the most basic questions. The shop also cultivates a friendly environment where even the regulars are willing to help and to give their insights. I have been going to Armada for years for all my hobby and gaming needs, and I certainly dont ever see that changing.

When i first got into MTG i did a booster draft here and it was so fun! Slowly over the years ive lost touch with people to play with, over these past 2 months ive been meeting others who play and ive sent my deck list too 3 different shop and then finally sent it to Armada games and they have everything i wanted. Armada games is a shop i send all of my MTG friends without hesitation. Great shop cant wait for tournaments to come back!!!!

I love this place. Parking is sometimes an issue but it is what it is. Armada cannot control that. I love the selection of gaming miniatures and dice. It has in the past been hard to get help there from employees but that has greatly improved. I understand they have lots of other customers and events so its not really a complaint. They are always willing to order anything they do not have in stock and are very good about keeping me up to date on such orders. Like I said, I love this place and I highly recommend Armada Games.

This was the first time Ive ever had an issue here . The guy that helped me is ussually very helpful but today he was very rude I had a list of cards that I wanted to purchase on my phone and the first thing he says is we dont do that you need to write them down but since we are slow Ill do it, which is nuts because Im a paying customer and any other store would gladly assist me as oblivion games did it without any list of any kind. Then I read them to him and he doesnt even listen to what Im saying or review it with me then grabs the wrong cards so he has to redo the pricing. Then when he goes to check me out he doesnt remove one of the 20$ cards that they didnt have so I had to go back in and get a refund. All in all this could have been avoided by him taking his time with me instead of being rude and rushing me out the door. I usually really enjoy this place, but he seriously needed assistance with how to handle customers or he needed to take a break for awhile as I was spending a good deal of money and there was no reason for him to treat me like that.

This place is great. They sell all their products and games and low prices. They know the product they are selling. This place allows you to game for free. No pressure. Never ran into a rude employee or fellow customer. Come here to game, buy and have fun.

As a dice junkie, I have traveled to game and comic shops all over central Florida. Armada is really my favorite shop around for their dice selection. They have way more than what is actually on display at that. They will also special order minis for you, and not charge you a ton for doing it. The main guy that works there is nice and pleasant to deal with.

The best gaming store in Tampa.The staff knows their stuff when it comes to games and can recommend the perfect game for your situation. (For example my wife and I went in to find games for couples and were given over a dozen of suggestions that have all been great)They have a ton of games for you to demo and try before you buy.Also have regular game nights and events to meet new people and geek out together.If you are ANYWHERE in the Tampa Bay area its worth the trip to check out.

Armada Games is a fantastic local game store! They have numerous tables for playing any board or card games in which youre interested, as well as a whole bookcase of demo games you can play for free! My friends and I have wasted many an hour here and would recommend Armada to anyone who enjoys board games or card games (Magic: The Gathering in particular).

The atmosphere is definitely the biggest appeal of this place. Some of the nicest folks this side of hobbies. To compound this, the collective knowledge of the staff (and patrons) is legendary and most accessible. A quick call (even at 2am! [sometimes]) and you can find a subject matter expert on most subjects that it would make sense for them to know about. Ferociously recommended.

I went in there to poke around and ran into several other gamers I knew from other now-closed shops. The owners were very friendly!!! I asked them several questions about their gaming leagues and got excellent answers. They didnt seem to have a problem with me being there even though I didnt buy anything yet. I will probably start playing 40K on Friday nights soon. It is cool that their entire monthly tournament/play schedule is online and easily accessible...

Good: everything except the male employee (owner?)Bad: I came in from out of state and was looking for casual commander. I was in a game and a small tourney was happening nearby.A judge was called and the male employee/judge walked over. Several moments pass and the employee became very loud and argued with the patron. His insistence on being correct was important enough to belittle and argue with a paying customer. He made statements such as Ive been a level 2 judge for 10 years and everyone knows me etc.Meanwhile the patron never once raised his voice. I dont know what happened to begin the argument but from what I heard it seemed very likely the employee was as at fault for arguing because the patron didnt at any point raise his voice and was patient with the employee.I have been a customer service manager for 13 years. You never have the right to raise your voice to a customer even if you disagree with them. And honestly, noone cares who you are, the patron said he was from out of town so he obviously doesnt know you and you need to be respectful of that.I will never be back. Which sucks because the only problem I had was the employee.

Definitely one of the best game shops in the whole Tampa area. It can get a bit crowded in there, but thats not a bad thing! You will never ceases to find a game going on in this store and the friendly staff are happy to help you where step of the way.

I have loved this store for years, Since I started college nearly as long as they opened. Ive bought and played card and board games and had a good time... in the past. This place has gone down hill from the respect of some of its employees. I came in with a box of mostly new cards but full of random cards. I am all but expelled because my bulk box had fakes in it. Thats why its in the bulk box, I wasnt sure. I dont play in the competitions. Thank you for telling me; but just tell and dont buy anything other than the new rares with the foils. That would have been fair and respectful. Whats your name again... Why did you want to sell them?I will be taking my value cards, more importantly than this bulk box, and to respectful and _plentiful_ competition; whom wouldnt have wasted a non-trivial amount of my life.Goodbye, after so many strikes against all of your non-male customers.

WOW! Never been more welcomed to something new in my life. I have been playing Magic for a few weeks now and decided to finally stop by a local store. I wish I got his name but the man at the register who assisted me was amazing. Very welcoming to questions and very knowledgable about his trade. Store itself is relatively clean and spacious with plenty of room to play. Excellent prices as well! I cant recommend this shop enough! They also have singles for when you really get involved in deck building! Oh and it isnt just MTG, they have other games too of course!

Armada is the trifecta of you friendly local game store. They have amazingly friendly and knowledgeable staff, a huge variety of games and miniatures and an amazing space for playing games and tabletop RPGs. I have many other stores closer but I always make the trek here over anywhere else.

Im a frequent player at armada, and if you like Magic, Warhammer, or almost anything table top games youre sure to find someone there willing to play with you. A great spot for pretty much anyone.

I was visiting Tampa from Orlando and I came across this store. FANTASTIC people there. They were extremely helpful in my search for custom miniature bases.The store had that club feel that most game stores lack today. Everyone seemed to know each other and they were all very welcoming.There was, however, one thing about the store that was very disappointing... Its not in Orlando. ;)

Great place to stop and buy games and then play them. They also have a deal with the local pizza place so you can continue to play your games while your pizza is being delivered.

Stopped by today and the staff was very friendly, and very patient with my indecisive lady friend who had to roll every dice behind the counter twice before deciding on a set to buy. 😂May have to roll up an AL legal character and check out this store on D&D nights.

Theyre alright. Good place to play warhammer and board games. Where they fall flat is their card games. They barely have mtg stuff.

War games, tabletop miniatures, and hobby tools are expensive products, and Armada finds a way to sell these without totally breaking your wallet. There are discounts all over the place, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and they will order pretty much anything you need that you cant find in-store that day. Been to many hobby shops over the years, this is among the better ones for sure.

The best tabletop gaming spot in the area! They run several tournaments a week, so be sure to check in if you play Magic, DnD, or any other tabletop game. The store is divided into two sections: the shop, which has all their rule books, miniatures, paints, card games, and dice, and the gaming room which is a bunch of long tables for guest to set up their own games at or attend tournaments at.They sell food and drinks, but dont mind if you bring your own snacks and its pretty common for people to order pizzas to split among their party. You can actually get a discount if you order pizza at the little joint in the same plaza and tell them youre at Armada.The bathroom is also super clean, and the gamers are super friendly. The staff are all super laid back and welcoming, too, and very kind people. They even let people check out store-owned gaming sets to play in the gaming hall.Its an amazing place that I super recommend checking out if youre into any sort of tabletop game!

Great selection of tabletop games, minis, and fun. The folks are knowledgeable and the atmosphere is inviting. As a woman, I have always felt welcomed and safe, which can be rare in some game shops. Everyone was friendly and willing to teach any games that you werent familiar with. I see me spending WAY too much money there!!

I used to pop in this place whenever I was in Tampa. Unique inventory, great selection. Stuff I could usually only find online. However, I quit going because the service is TERRIBLE If youre not at a table playing a game. I hope those guys get better service. I stood at the counter, waiting to ask for a certain pack of card sleeves they had behind the counter, while the person in front of me got cashed out, the person BEHIND me got asked if they needed help, and then the guy behind the counter WALKED OUT FROM BEHIND THE COUNTER to go talk to someone else. Im not invisible, last I checked. Someone standing in front of your counter, arms crossed, obviously not in the same group with the people around me. Nope, no service. Not even a greeting. So I walked out, saying thanks for the sh*tty service. So Ill be shopping anywhere else.

Stranger things seemed to hint at a rise in D&D games and when i walked in to this shop i felt like i went back in time. In the best way possible. Every awesome board game and figurines were available and there was a room full of people actually playin stuff like magic the gathering and pokemon and stuff like that. It was cool to see so many people there.

Had a rough experience my first time coming here.I didnt come back for about a year because of that first experience and I was able to find what I needed elsewhere during that period. Trying to fit in drafts to a tight schedule, I found myself back at Armada hoping my experience wouldnt be the same.It wasnt! Staff has been very friendly and attentive since returning as a customer.I dont feel ignored anymore while I have my pockets lined with money that has Armadas name on it.

Great local store! Been going here about 2 years and never had a real complaint. Only downside is the size of the location, things can get a little cramped when its busy. But they have a large play space, great stock (and you can special order just about anything - ask for Tony!), very friendly staff and a very active community with multiple events every day of the week.
