The haircut and color turned out exactly as I envisioned.Beyond creativity and great talent this place also has a super warm and friendly staff! and they have cruelty free products!!!Im definitely coming back!

Only been here a couple of times, but its already my favorite salon. The owner was wonderful - attentive, understanding, and skillful. She listened to my hair concerns and recommended a number of options. She was very patient with my indecisiveness. And she did her best to recreate the look I had in my head. After my haircuts, I always get numerous compliments from coworkers and friends. Cant wait for the next visit!

Favorite salon! Trendy, fun, and inviting place. Owner is truly a gem, really cares to create a comfortable enviroment for her clients and endlessly listens to what you want. I have trusted Gen with my hair from prom all the way to my wedding day. She is super talented and takes her time until you are truly satisfied with the look you are trying to achieve. Gen is not only talented, and incredible at what she does, but she is also an amazing human being. I went in for my first keratin treatment about a year ago, dreading having to sit there in awkward silence while waiting for the treatment to work it’s magic. I was pleasantly surprised and elated about how comfortable I felt, it was as if we were old friends just catching up. It has been that way ever since!

My new favourite place with friendy and professional staff! After recently moving to a nearby neighbouring town, I did not have much luck in finding a new hair salon. It took some time and I was determined to find something local. After reading some great reviews late one night, I contacted Nela Salon by email to schedule an appointment and received a quick response from the Owner. I called to set up an appointment the following day and Kirsten was patient and professional listening to my story over the phone. She was able to schedule my appointment for the following day on short notice and even opened the salon earlier than planned to accommodate my schedule! Kirsten is a super friendly and patient individual who was able to execute my vision into a near perfect reality. She offered suggestions to correct my current color & highlights with a toner and a much needed deep conditioning treatment. I was extremely happy with the results and even more so when my family and friends commented on how “great” my hair looked. I am so happy to have found this little gem and will look forward to my next appointment, knowing that I will be well taken care of by Kirsten & Team :)

Gen is great. I have short hair, she made the style I want perfect. And she’s very nice to give suggestions about caring hair daily. The environment is cozy, I had great experience there.

Im so happy to discover this little local gem. Professional hair and makeup for a decent price. Everyone there is so friendly, helpful and very talented. It is a steal! Prices are reasonable, just compare them to the other salons. Definitely my new favorite place and will be going back.

Gen is an amazing top of the line hair stylist. My entire family goes to Nelas Hair Salon where the owner herself caters to our different needs in a very professional and relaxed manner. Love the enriching conversations that we share which completely depart from the typical gossip atmosphere present in most hair salons. Gen is a true Gem to have in the area !!!

Excellent Job! I have dry chemically damaged hair, when I was given a blow out my hair was silky and full of volume. She also advice me how to treat my damaged hair. Great team of people, definitely will recommend this hair salon.

Nela is an amazing new hair salon inTenafly that has changed my life. I have long curly hair and I used to do regular maintenance treatments like keratin and highlights cuts blow outs etc as a very high-end salon in the city costing me a lot. I was very reluctant to change salons but after a couple of visits I am now getting all of the above at Nelas hair. They do beautiful work, meticulous with attention to detail and actually they do care about your hairs well being in addition to looking great!
