It sad when an established company that I have done business with for 10 years without any issues customer service changes for the worst. I rented a towable boom lift that was unsafe and immediately had issues at the job site I called u rent it and informed them of the issues. They requested I bring it back. I told them I was not comfortable driving the machine back because it would not safely secure and lower down.They assured it was safe to pull back. I was unable to complete the job.I returned it the following day as quickly as I could.The staff was great they fixed the problem with the equipment.I talked with the owner and informed I wasn’t able to use the equipment to finish my job do to the equipment breaking. Me and the owner disagreed about how resolve this issue. That’s business I understand that. Where my issue is his blatant disrespect towards me. The owner started talking badly about my father and there past business issues. Which has nothing to do with me. I don’t have the greatest relationship with my father and I am very offended. I will never rent from them again unless the owner a gives verbal apology.I have never been this disrespected and disgusted with a business owner.

I rented their 38hp JD compact tractor along with a 16’ trailer to move seven yards of garden dirt into beds. Ron’s Organics that mixed and delivered my soil recommended U-Rent It and it was a good choice. Everyone I dealt with from their phone contact to the counter staff and yard workers was professional and personable. The equipment worked well. I will never again move a load of dirt by hand! This was too easy and reasonable in price not to rent again if needed and would go to them for other rental needs. The yard mgr, a Mr. Baker met me at my truck window before I even got through backing the trailer in a parking spot. As he stated he would he had me disconnected from their trailer and verified to the counter staff all was in good order by the time I got inside. I noticed they are a well stocked Sthil dealer for new lawn equipment. Counter staff stated they also have a trained repair person who is one of the best around for Sthil equipment.

Not a place I’ll ever rent equipment from. I’ve only experienced problems that a friend of mine had. My friend rented a backhoe and had severe problems through his experience and the manager was not helpful to him at all. When my friend called the store with problems, hydraulic oil leaks, oil cap came off and splattered oil all over the motor and front of tractor, my friend was told by the manager to fix it himself. They rented out the backhoe with the oil cap not properly tightened and it was lost, my friend was charged for a new oil cap $23 which was their fault and charged to clean the oil $80 all because they themselves didn’t do something right. This is not the way to do business. In my opinion, if I owned the company, the manager would be fired and replaced ASAP. Customer service is very important to me if I’m doing business with any company but apparently this manager doesn’t care about the customers and tries to cover their maintenance mistakes at the customer’s expense, and that’s just wrong.

These people charged me for a tiller that did not work. No money back and followed me out the door with the owner’s son saying he didn’t care that they had my money. WOW never rent here! This is not a one off rental experience trust me and my advice. If the owner follows this up with mention of the contract it proves doing the right thing is not what’s important to them. Laughable customer service.

After my experience last weekend I will NEVER do business with the GBC Store again. Several weeks ago I inquired about a man lift and received the info. Once the timeline was established I recruited help. Then called to make sure I could get what I needed. Unfortunately is was late Fri afternoon. I asked about reserving one, cant do it over phone, how about with a credit card, dont take them over the phone. Was promised to see what could be done and call back. Crickets. Next morning (Sat) I was there at 8AM to rent a unit with my trailer in tow. Prepared to pay an extra day if needed to confirm a rental. We have one but you will have to pick it up at 2PM, not before. AND you will have to rent our trailer (another $75) The lady refused to rent one without using their trailer. GRRRR OK Ill be back at 2 to pick it up. At 2PM it wasnt ready, had to get their trailer then get them to load it. I got out of there at 3PM. Used it Sat eve, next morning DEAD. Had to charge battery, would not run on AC. Finished up. At 8AM on Monday I was there to drop it off. Pulled in the gate and was told to go to other side and they would unload and check it in. At 830 several vehicles had come in and left and Im still waiting. I noticed a truck with an excavator coming in. He pulled up behind me and they started unloading. At that point I blocked the drive. A few more minutes and I was asked if I needed help. Finally got unloaded and unhooked. Was told to pull to front and go inside. I explained I had very limited mobolity (breating issues and on oxygen) and asked if they could bring the paperwork out front. He agreed and I pulled out front. 15 minutes later Im still sitting there. Finally gave up and slowly went inside. A very cherry May I help you? No paperwork ready, had to find it. Finally got the deposit check back and left.And you want repeat business???

Friendly and helpful staff. Had what I needed and pick up and drop off was quick and easy.

Am getting married around this area, and all family lives out of town. Was calling to try to work out an arrangement to rent their margarita machine and return on Saturday night or Sunday instead of Monday as we will not be in town after Sunday. The lady I spoke with was very rude. Glad this didn’t work out - would not want to rent from a place like this.

Not to go into a long boring story, but I can not say how they went the extra mile to help me. Kyle and his team are fantastic. If you are in the Terrell area and they have something you need to rent. My advice is that your shopping is done. If there were 6 stars, they would get it.

What a fantastic experience. I went to the location in Terrell. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They have all the tools and equipment that I need and a whole lot more!!! When I returned the tool that I rented, my deposit was returned as guaranteed and they EVEN gave me a FREE high quality tape measure!!! Wow!! What service.

Had a bad experience with them on this particular visit. Was very disappointed when their equipment failed on me and was obviously poorly maintained. They offered to exchange it out for another but from the look of the others they have been treated the same. I didnt want to chance it, asked for my money back they wouldnt refund me, still charged me for a job I couldnt finish. Manager wouldnt even come out and tell me in person. Very disappointed, will not be returning nor will I recommend.

I love this placed! They have everything that I need !! Ive ordered party items and equipment. The ladies on the counter are very helpful and polite. If ever I have a problem they are real quick to help either over the phone or they send a mechanic out.Their party staff for loading and setting tent up are very respectful and set up the prettiest tents! When ive gone up there to get equipment, the loading staff goes over everything thoroughly and are patient when i ask a million questions to make sure i get the most out of my rental. U Rent It it the place to go for all the rental needs !!

I called to rent an excavator and spoke with a friendly lady who advised I needed a 26 mini excavator for what I wanted to do. So I paid the $500 deposit and reserved that machine. Picked it up on a Friday morning at 8:30 am and upon inspection noticed a hose that looked questionable. I was assured that it was not an issue and that we didn’t need to do an inspection because all damage was noted “on a piece of paper around here”. So I took a video just in case. Got the machine home. Realized within 10 minutes it was not going to be powerful enough for the job. I called back up there and was told they didn’t have anything else available but they wouldn’t refund my money even if I brought it back immediately. So basically I’m stuck with it for a week. The Thursday before it was due back around noon that concerning hose finally blew. Go figure. We were told we had 2 options. Fix it ourselves because apparently we are excavator mechanics. Or bring it back. We still had over 12 hours left of use and were hoping to get about 8 hours in that day. First they told my fiancé they didn’t have a tech available to come repair the hose. When I called back 5 min later, magically one was available. So I asked then if we could have additional time since we were obviously not able to use the machine. Jessica (the worlds most friendly employee🙄) said she wasn’t sure but she’d get back to me.A tech finally showed up. Fixed a hose. Another hose blew. Took him 4 hours total. Of course they were closed when he finished. I got a voicemail from the “manager” saying he’d give me an extra hour. What I had tried to explain to at least 3 different people was no one was going to be able to drop it off in the middle of the day Friday so I needed to know to plan accordingly. They really just wanted to charge me either to come get it or to not be able to return it at 9:00 am. On the way to deliver it I had some water pump issues. I called and they said they were going to charge me anyways. When I returned it on time with 10 minutes to spare I’m sure they were super disappointed they couldn’t scam more money off me. I should have listened when several people warned me not to rent here. I definitely won’t again.

Great customer service! We had to reschedule picking up a piece of equipment 3 times due to unforeseen circumstances, but each time they were willing to work with us without any problem. Our deposit was refunded to us within that same week of returning the equipment.

I wished I would have checked Yelp before renting from this place but I didnt think twice about since it was a national chain. I have to admit the delivery and equipment was great. I rented a scissor and reach fork lift for a month and unfortunately 1.5 week into the rental my crane went out on me and had to hold my construction. I visited U-Rental and asked if I could return the rentals now and get a store credit in the future. The rep told me and stated that is not a problem. Two days later I received a call from U-Rental recanting there statement and stated they will not offer a store credit. It conversation went back and forth and the rep was very rude and basically stated that renting two weeks is the same price is renting as month, that statement does not make any sense . SMH. Anyway before renting from this place think about it twice who you want to spend your money with

I wish I would of went anywhere but here. They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They gave us a tractor that the 4 wheel drive was suppose to be working. It wasnt. When we called them they told us what to do to try to fix it. (To work on it ourselves) when we did what they said we tried it again and it got stuck in dirt. NOT MUD. It tore our yard up so bad trying to get it out and we didnt even get to use it all it did was make huge track pits and my horses cant even be over there anymore because she will break a leg. When we called they scream at us and told us that we are going to pay for it and that the 4 wheel drive works now and they have video. They called my mother in law crazy and hung up the phone on us multiple times. We didnt even want a refund we just wanted to get a different tractor so we can do the job that we were trying to do and to fix the road that the other tractor messed up. Do not rent from them they are so unprofessional, rude, and do not care about any one or anything except how they can screw you over. Gerald swinford is the name it was under. We plan to report them to the bbb.

I rented a tractor and the machine was not working I called to let them know and the man expected me to work on the tractor to get it going then I told him I was not equipped to work on the tractors and he put me on hold then hung up. Then they closed l and left us in a bind when I got a hold of him the next day after they got the tractor back they called 4 hrs. Later saying the 4 wheel drive works I said it didnt when I had it the lady I spoke to said yes it does we fixed it. I was appalled they fixed the tractor after they rented it to me. they were screaming and cursing at me because I explained to him that the tractor was not working and that I would not pay the expert I hired to drain the water out of fuel. I didnt even use the tractor and was charged for full rental of the tractor and a cleaning fee. I would not recommend renting anything from this company.im and Im a elderly woman and a Christian I would never use curse words . I was raised better that that. I was asked to drain water out of the gas. I had a kidney transplant and and the pro I hired to drive the tractor said he would call back and ask for another tractor that this had major problems hes has had 37 years experances on all different types of tractors he could not believe they sent an tractor in that condition . We rented the tractor for septic and couldnt get it done there was water in the desil and 4 wheel drive was out. The expert I hired said he could fix it but he would have to charge me and I already paid for a tractor that worked not paying a tractor mechanic to work on a tractor I rented that was supposed to be in Tip-Top shape.The ground was dry I got several videos that the tracker wouldnt move and the ground was dry in the video . Im the one that return the tractor not husband he was at work and I never signed anything when dropped it off. Yes my husband did ask how much a dozer was to rent we have 23 acres in commerce to place our horses but it was explained to them that would be on the future. They are twisting different inquiries about different tractors in the future. Im sorry you guys are trying to take peoples money I will pray for you God bless you all and I hope you find God one day thanks for your time and I put you on our prayer list at church on Sunday.

We rented from here for our wedding this weekend. Everytime i called, any person i talked to was helpful. Ms Arnold was especially patient with me and that very appreciated as i was stressed planning our wedding. The guys who delivered our equipment were friendly and flexible. All the rentals were in good condition. We had a very pleasant experience with this company.

I rented white folding chairs on Saturday for my sons eagle court of honor. The chairs were horrible - - not white, rusty, flimsy, and really hard to refold. We ended up not even getting them out of the truck and got some from another place. I have rented tools from this place in the past and been happy with the tools but I would stay far away from their party side

Lot of rental equipment, reasonable pricing.

Rented a backhoe two years ago. Driver dropped it off and worked for less than an hour. Hydraulic leak, flat tire and dead battery. I was given my deposit back and a rain check that I was told to use whenever I needed it. Well now I need it and they told me today because it’s been two years they cannot honor. Very unfair and dishonest practice. Try red hat in Athens before this place. Wish I would have read these reviews two years ago

One star is too much for this company, upon returning the rented item we notified them that there is a safety hazard with the equipment, instead of noting the issue to get it resolved so it doesnt result in a accident that could be fatal for the operator he decides to yell at a woman and make her cry blaming her, Mark is the owner and he is the one that yells at women. just so yall know, there is many other places to rent from so I strongly suggest you find somewhere else.

I’m not going to get into the details about my terrible experience with U Rent It but hands down, one of the most incompetent group of individuals I’ve ever seen attempt run a business. I had to find pity jobs for a day laborer to do around my ranch while the women at U Rent It continually lied throughout the day over the telephone on where a piece of equipment that I reserved a week ago was located. The machine was suppose to be picked up at 7:30AM but upon calling, the machine was not there. Was told we have a driver headed to Rockwall immediately to get it. 5 hours later, nothing. Upon calling later that afternoon was actually told the tires fell of their truck in Gun Barrel City. Finally one hour before close, I called and was informed that the machine was there but the 12” bit I had requested was not, which does me zero good.You women should stop lying to customers and have your owner consider putting your entire staff through a customer service class or two.

Customer service and equipment was excellent. I would recommend them to any body. once again I rented from these people and they are excellent super fine staff equipment work great if you have a problem is usually you not them.

No point in purchasing the Loss Protection because they are going to charge you for any damages anyway. At least the guys out back were nice, that cant be said for all of the women up front though.

Rented a ride on trencher from these people and used it for about 5 hrs and it quit running. Had to call them to come get it and they charged me pick up fees, cleaning fees, fuel fees and tried to tell me it was only because the battery switch was off. The battery switch could not have been the issue because the machine was turning over but not cranking. Careful as they will try to squeeze every penny out of you. Will NEVER use them again and do not recommend anyone else do either.

Staff is a joke... they lie and go out of their way to keep as much of your deposite as possible... only marginally (not saying much at all) better than the Rockwall location... never going back... must have payed to boost their rating over 2 stars ( no option for ZERO stars) buyer beware!
