These guys came in clutch! I had a lake Powell trip in a few days and spur of the moment decided I wanted a new foil. Cory the lift rep linked me up and they had what I wanted in stock. They were able to rush ship it and do the whole deal all over the phone to make sure I had it for me trip. Great place to learn how to get out on the water

Love that this place exists - one stop shopping for exploring kiteboarding and foiling. Twin tips, surfboards, kites, training and safety equipment, repair services, and of course lessons at nearby Texas City dike are all available through this shop. Phil is happy to share his knowledge, and Im happy to support the shop - go visit!

Wow, Rob was great! I called for advice about helmets and quick shipping to Boston. Rob was knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. Looks like Houston Kiteboarding only carries the one helmet that I wanted. They feature it because they believe it is the best one available, it had taken me several hours to research it and come up with the same opinion. Wish I had called them first :-) I would recommend HK to anyone!By the way the NP helmet is supposedly great for sailing/racing as well as kite boarding, and I imagine most other water sports. It is highly protective, low profile, comfortable, lightweight but durable, adjustable, comes in 5 colors, and looks cool so you will wear it and save your head and brains!!

Great location. This isn’t the Columbia, SF, or Maui wind. But it is warm (shorties) and sweet in February/early spring when I was here with more than enough steady wind. 10s and 12’s. Worth a trip, and the coaches and shop are first class.

My wife and I, two sons, and one of their friends had a great three days of beginner lessons last week with Phil and his team of awesome instructors. My wife really liked learning from Hana and her, non-technical technique, whatever that means...I think it is a woman thing.Getting to use good equipment, jet skis, and the perfect location made learning to kite board easier and safer than we thought it was going to be. In the mornings, we enjoyed the stand up paddle boarding while waiting for the wind to come up.By the end of this summer we are all going to be killing it out on the bay! Right Phil?

The team at Houston Kiteboarding is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I was traveling through Houston on a business trip and they set me up for a day of kiting at the Texas City levee. Rob was so helpful, was great with product knowledge and timeliness of response to my inquiries. I was looking for a shorter mast for my foil, they were out of stock but he knew a guy who might have one for sale and inquired for me. When they later got them back in stock he found me the most cost effective solution that would fit onto my Slingshot Alien Air but LF Foil Fuselage. I messed up too and gave him the wrong shipping address and while the package was in route he fixed it with UPS. I got the mast today, it bolted right on perfectly. It is customer service like this that will keep me coming back to Houston Kiteboarding for my gear needs. Been kiting 12 years now and there is always some new piece of gear.

I’ve been taking classes with these guys in and out over a year now and they are the best!

I live in the UK and use Slingshot kites. The kite being a few years old, I could not find a UK stockist for spares. I was desperate for a new bridle for my Key 13m before I travelled to Spain. The only place I could find online that has bridles was Slingshot themselves. Unfortunately, Slingshot do not ship to the UK. Houston Kiteboarding to the rescue. They were more than happy to order the spares from Slingshot, package them up and mail to me in the UK. Payment was handled by Paypal. I received my stuff three weeks later in time for my holiday. Great service, replied to my emails same day, highly recommended.

I bought a SlingShot Rally from Houston Kiteboarding and the equipment came as described and in a timely fashion! When I had a small issue with the kite the people in Houston Kiteboarding were very helpful and resolved the issue immediately! I am definitely buying my next kite from them again!

I like these guys, they gave me a good deal on a slingshot foil. When I stripped the screw (100-percent my fault) they were very accomodating in sending out replacement bolts.Also, gave me some great advice on how to mount a Lift brand deck to a slingshot baseplate, Thx, Ian

Last week-end I booked a lesson with Chris from Houston Kite-boarding- Prior to this I took lessons in San Francisco and Miami Beach- Lets put it this way, I am not going to mention the name of those schools because it was a total disappointment and waste of $$. My experience with you guys was amazing, Chris, my instructor was very knowledgeable and patient. I kept doing the same mistakes over and over, I know it was kind frustrating for him but Chris kept his calm and kept encouraging to take my time and correct my mistakes.. I am not used to write reviews but with what I accomplished last week end and the experience I had with Houston Kite-boarding stuff, I had to say it they are the finest I have seen out there. Check it out yourself, you will not be disappointed for sure.Bobby, I have not met you yet but hopefully on my next trip. Premium experience. Flew into Houston, drove to the levee, unpacked my kite and *bam* its torn! I was so bummed. Took the kite to H.K. and Phil patched it that evening for pickup the next day. Not only that, but by the time I drove back to the levee Chris had pumped up a 19 meter rental for me which was perfect for the light winds that day. I highly recommend this group, they turned what could have been a disaster into a super-positive week. These folks are all fun people and provide excellent customer service. Will definitely be heading back to Texas on a future trip. Thanks so much guys!!!

Good place for lessons near Houston.They are on the expensive side but will do their best to meet other competitors prices since there are other qualified kitesurfing instructors in town. They still don’t use radio helmets for some reason while others do. They rely on jet-skis and yelling at the top of their lungs while giving lessons from their jet-skis. Rob, who runs the shop, definitely looks out for the locals and tries to get them the best deals and matches prices when possible. They’ve been around for a long time and the only shop in town for repairs and off the shelf equipment. Even though they are not an IKO affiliated kitesurfing center, they still put safety of their students first. This sport will change your life!

Have ordered several times from Houston Kiteboarding, and have found that both Phil and Rob have been extremely helpful. They put in that extra effort for me, Im sure they will do the same for you, Gerry.
