They knew what they were talking about! I came in to get some flies and they were quick to help me. I am also a beginner and they dont make you feel like one. They were very helpful, I would recommend to anyone wanting supplies for fly-fishing!

Thoroughly enjoyed. My fly rod shopping experience. There is another shop in Houston that I love to go to but it’s a 70 mile trip one way. Thought I’d go to Orvis to set myself up with some nice salt gear. My sales rep was Chuck and not only was he knowledgeable but friendly and did not rush me. We went outside to do some casting do I could get a good feel for the rod. If you’re going to spend a thousand bucks on a rod, you better spend time with it. After 90 minutes of Chucks time, I walked out with my new rod, reel and some flies and supplies ready for saltwater extravaganzas. Chuck made the experience everything I was hoping for and more.

I had to pick up a fly rod that had been repaired. I was going to buy another two fly rods and reels. Had to use the restroom but was told that I (78 years old) had to walk about a half block in the rain to a public restroom. Ive used the Orvis restroom in the past, but their restroom is off limits to COVID-19. Yet, they dont have a bit of problem to send their customers to a public restroom where the probability of catching or spreading COVID-19 is much, much greater. We can go to restaurants, shopping malls, but to use a restroom in the back of the Orvis store is treated like it is the epic center for the virus. Thought I was in California or New York. Even here in Texas there are spots like this Orvis store that use the virus as a means of controlling your behavior. To say the least I wont be using Orvis for my fly fishing needs. On another note; even though I have had the two vaccinations, I still wear a mask in public.

The staff are very friendly and helpful and extremely knowledgeable about all things fishing. The store lay out makes it really comfortable to browse and shop. Our first shopping experience in here was a real pleasure. We will be visiting a lot, I’m sure. Thanks, Angel, for so willingly sharing your expertise and passion with us.

Im sure this store is awesome for the high end fly fisherman. I am a low end fisherman. I tie my own flies. Fish with an old 3-4 wt combo. Its simple & fun.

Received great service from the staff. They even cleaned, repaired and ensured that my gear was in working order. I bought new line and flies (old ones was worn out) and went home and drowned a few flies coming up with a gorgeous 3# bass. Thanks for helping a veteran get back on the water. Love your brand and the service was incredible. Thanks again!

The staff was wonderful. You will not get knowledge and high-end gear you can find here at the big box stores. Daniel got me fully rigged up for redfish. I can see this store getting my time and attention in the future. Great job guys..

Not sure if I came here on a bad day, but my questions about fly fishing in the area were completely ignored and I was shrugged off. The store was not crowded at all so there’s no excuse for that. However, I have been helped here by a younger gentleman in the past and they have a decent selection of fishing gear. I will take my business elsewhere next time

Angel and Noble are the best! They know their stuff and will set you up right. If youre new to fly fishing or a seasoned pro, Orvis is the best resource in the Houston area.

Over priced for the most part. Stick to your local, privately owned fly shops if youre looking for fly fishing gear and supplies. I would have given less stars, but I love this company and what they do for the sport, unfortunately the store was a let down. I was excited to check it out because there are no Orvis store where I live.

Older ladies behind counter not too much help. They are not polite as you walk in there and know nothing about fishing. They come across very rude and not customer service friendly and experienced. Waste of time and money to go there.
