We bought laminate countertops from Lowe’s through Sage Surfaces and they are beautiful in our new kitchen. They were quick to arrive and the pricing was great. The seams were done so great that you can hardly even tell there are seams! We would highly recommend Sage Surfaces to anyone in the market for new countertops.
*Updated: Sage lied in their response when they said they prioritized this issue. They did not prioritize or resolve anything. They refuse to honor and obvious warranty issue. Thankfully the installers, Easy Fit Inc, in Delaware Ohio paid for the replacement out of their own pocket (I highly recommend Easy Fit). When you go to Home Depot, Lowes or wherever you shop for countertops I would make sure you stay away from anything that is made by Sage Surfaces.*I would stay away from this company. They currently offer countertops through Lowes and the Alen + Roth brand. We ordered countertops 2 months apart and they sent us different countertops. They are refusing to honor a legitimate warranty claim.
Absolutely do not recommend. I ordered a 2” thick mitered edge countertop during the ordering process with the kitchen designer at Lowe’s, and Sage Surfaces sent out not one, but two different counter measurers at different times, and NEITHER one asked or confirmed anything with me, so I naively assumed that when the installers showed up, I’d receive the lovely 2” edge counters I’d ordered. Nope! They showed up and installed 1.5” counters, and when I noticed and asked one of the installers to measure the counter, he confirmed it was only 1.5”. I said - hold up, I was supposed to get 2” edges. He says - “no, because of your cabinets, we can’t install 2” edges”. I later found out that was a total lie, and that they had never received instructions from the Lowes designer on the edge thickness, and in turn never decided to bother asking or confirming the edge, they simply picked the edge thickness they wanted to.But it doesn’t end there...as they were installing the second piece of a two-piece large counter section, I noticed that the edges weren’t lining up and expressed concern. “Oh don’t worry about that” said the installer. “We will sand it down to match”. Well guess what? They sanded it down all right, but it certainly doesn’t match, and now I have an awkward curve/dip/uneven edge in the counter right in the middle of the sink where the seam is. Awful craftsmanship. Additionally, the opposite edge of the counter wasn’t sanded symmetrically at all. In some areas the edge is small, others it widens, and is even slightly gouged where the seam is.Verdict: don’t hire this company, and don’t go through Lowe’s. They both get zero stars for communication, and zero stars for craftsmanship.
I have had several counters installed by Sage. Quality and customer service was first class. Would use them for all tops. Thank you Sage!
This company manufacturers quartz counter tops for Lowes where we purchased a counter top 2 years ago. We were assured that we would have a limited lifetime warranty that would cover the product as long as we followed the care information provided. We are an older couple with no children in our home and as a retired designer I know how important it is to follow guidelines for care of products. After two years of loving care (no harsh chemicals, only hot water and Dawn, never dropped heavy objects of any type), etc., our counters are chipping away. A large chuck came off in my hand when I was wiping the top off. A large chuck fell off the bottom of the counter top and there are several pock marks. We tried to get the warranty to repair them through Lowes. They helped us file a claim through this company and both Lowes and we are told we cant do anything. So, after we are now being forced to file complaints with both the state of Texas where this was manufactured and with the state of Tennessee where it was sold. I would have NO faith in anything this company says. The person we spoke with was Mario Madrigal and he just didnt care even to investigate the issue.
I purchased the Allen & Roth quartz countertops through Lowe’s only a year ago it already has chips all over it and it is caving in behind my stove it is horrendous material it can’t possibly be real quartz I guess that’s why no one will stand by what they are selling not Lowe’s or Allen & Roth you get the run around and then they basically tell you it’s your fault as though you are throwing rocks and bricks in your kitchen to cause these chips and once again it’s only been a year can’t imagine what it will look like in 5 years..we are now out $5000 and can’t be proud of our new kitchen..I would advise everyone to not bother. I would give no stars at all if I could.
I have ordered allen + roth countertops from Sage Surfaces twice and both times have been completely satisfied. From fabrication to installation the process was seamless, and I am completely happy with the outcome. Their customer service is phenomenal, and I would highly recommend allen + roth countertops by Sage Surfaces.
So impressed with the helpful staff! Thank you Sage Services.
