I rented 24 plastic totes. Those things are huge and for a 2BR/1BA home I only ended up needing 14 of them. I reserved and paid for them online, however there is a deposit you pay once you pick them up (will be refunded when you return all of the boxes on time). They also ask for 3 other contacts, which is annoying. My recommendation is to avoid the website and pay for everything when you get on site, it’s less of a hassle for everyone.

TLDR: Id stay away from the liars.I went to get propane one day, they said no one was qualified and manager would be back within a couple of hours. The next day I swing by and the exact same person says it has been down for a few days and they are waiting on a technician that it may be a few day. Whichever one is true I dont care, they just shouldnt be so easy about lying through their teeth. Looking through the reviews it looks like it is a common trait for this location.

They will harassed the hell out of you. Even if you late or not and not just you but your family and friends

The truck was good, however hidden policies not mentioned in person, along with stuffed mileage doesnt do them justice a bit. Estimated total charges including the estimate entered by the representative at the counter were $77. The actual total charges were over $100 by a bit. We had the truck just over three hours, mind you. Also, an unmentioned after hours return fee of$20. We agreed with the representative to have it back by 7:45pm with zero mention of this fee. When the truck was returned at the actual time of 5:45pm, since of course there was no one there, the key was placed in the safe box outside. Before the end result of this encounter, we were pleased to do business again with UHaul. As of late, wed rather push our items along. We find them deceptive in business operatives, particularly with new customers.

On the phone they are great! They were unable to install a hitch on the day I needed, so they scheduled me somewhere else, even got the confirmation text... So I called the install location to say were on the way, and not only did they make the appointment with a full schedule, they DIDNT have the parts! (Only in town for a couple days, so no time to reschedule or be flexible) Currently waiting on what they can do to fix this!

Convenient location. Used a 10x15 locker for almost three years while moving. When getting everything out, we realized everything is covered in mold. Priceless pictures, keepsakes, etc ruined. This place is supposed to be climate controlled but apparently not. Beware what you store here.

My son made a mobile reservation the code did not work, we were both on separate phones for more than two hours and no one ever answered. So how is this considered a 24 hour business? Big inconvenience for us and the person we had drive us to the business from another city.

Great service! Every time I go in here even with a minute problem they are always eager to help! Sarah especially, she has answered my consistent questions, even though they are persistent and annoying! I love this place! I’ve traveled and lived all over and this place by far has been one of my favorite storage unit facilities to work with!

Was very helpful with our truck rental & setting up a proper size storage unit. They showed us exceptional service.

All was good until I returned the U-haul. I rent u-hauls ALL the time for my work. I’ve never had an issue until this one. I KNOW how much fuel was in the truck when I rented and I refilled my obligation upon returning the truck. However, Thomasville NC U-haul is saying that I was wrong and in fact charged me an additional$32.00 for fuel. They are wrong and wouldn’t even try to negotiate it with me when I called them to dispute the charges.RENTER BEWARE!!!!!

Happy with our service. Rented a 5x5 unit for a month and also rented a 4x8 pull behind trailer for our move. Helpful quality service!

Terrible service. Will never go there again. They disconnected the trailer without chocking wheels. Trailer rolled into my truck and busted a light. The guy wasnt even going to acknowledge it until I called him out on it. He got the manager whom did nothing. Terrible manager, complained about Thomasville being such a bumpkin town as he was from Cleveland.

Rude, unprofessional, unorganized, lady at the front desk is very friendly and kind. The one star is for her. Scheduled a hitch installation online for Sat 7/7/18, I called 30 or 45 min after scheduling to confirm, Larry said they didn’t have it the earliest they could get it was Tuesday 7/10/18, told him I was going to call customer service to see if they could refund the money and get it somewhere else, the lady at customer service said they didn’t have anything available in a 50 miles radius, I told her to leave everything for Tuesday then. I never get a call for confirmation, I call today 7/10/18, and boom I was not scheduled and they were booked. Not to mention Larry got cocky when I told him I told customer service to leave the appointment for Tuesday. I had to pick up the hitch and will install myself, which is no big deal I can definitely do it, is just the fact that they offer a service that will not provide not to mention that they will claim that they called you to let you know and will never, also if it wasn’t because I called they would’ve made me drive to their location twice for nothing (To whom it may concern, I have pictures of the receipt to when it was scheduled, photos of the phone calls and their duration to the location and to customer service).

I had great service on January 12th 2019!!I had an issue and the 2 gentleman fixed the problem so I could get going.I left the lot in a quart of a tank and the hand barely moved and I went 25 miles round trip.I will always recommend the facility and U-Haul.

I would’ve given no stars if I could, we got charged an extra 225 dollars on top of the already 150 for the one day rental of a pickup and trailer because there was some asphalt on the fenders from construction!! If you don’t want to get ripped off go somewhere else so you don’t deal with a rude incompetent manager. Never again will I use U-Haul!!!

Horrible service, stored furniture and stuff In their unit for several months. Went to clear it out and my items were wet and molded. Everytime I call they give me the run around. Dont store your things here, they will destroy them and not pay for them. Claims is a joke.

Thomasville Uhaul is very disappointing. We rented our truck last Thursday from Theresa who was extremely nice and awesome. We told Theresa we needed the truck until Friday. As we discussed everything and I made my $100 deposit for the truck I asked her what I was looking at total maybe when I returned the truck and told her about how far we would be driving in Thomasville and she estimated around $53 out of my $100. She asked if we would have the truck back by 6:30 Friday when we rented it at 6:30 Thursday and we told her probably not that it would be around when they closed or maybe after. She told us that was fine if we returned the truck after they closed Friday to put the truck under the tent and the key in the drop box and we said okay as she stated make sure you put the exact same amount of gas back in the truck because they charge extra for the gas they have to put in it and we said ok. I called Saturday to find out what the total was and how much we would get back from our $100 deposit and the gentleman stated we actually owed $10.00. I later called back to ask WHY they took the whole $100 and Theresa had actually answered the phone at this time (I didn’t piece together that she was the one who rented us the truck at this moment) and explained to her what we were told to do after she told me they charged us a extra day for returning the truck past 6:30pm Friday. I explained to her that was NOT what we were told would happen at the time we rented the truck and that we were told it was okay to just put the key in the box and truck under the tent and nothing was said about additional charges. She didn’t even say, no I did not say that because I’m sure she realized it was HER who rented us the truck, all she said was I will look into it and give you guys a call back. It’s now Thursday and we heard nothing. I called Uhaul again to ask WHAT was going on and Kim said she would speak to her manager and told me Theresa was now on maternity leave. The manager of thomasville Uhaul basically told me their rules are any returns after the 24 hour exact time frame would be charged as a extra day. That DOES NOT MATTER when YOUR employee told us different. We should not have to suffer and our money being taken because the employees are not on the same page on the rules and regulations. If you tell me something I hold you accountable for what you told me. It’s not right and I was basically told “Oh well.” Will never use this store again. It’s called customer satisfaction and a customer shouldn’t suffer because your employees aren’t making the rules clear and told us it would be fine and spoke of no extra charges.

Took a whole 30 minutes to find an employee,who didnt have any knowledge about anti rattle pins. And then 10 to get me at the register and out the door. Also their Samsung/apple pay doesnt work.
