Dave is the best. I have always found him to be very friendly, fair and extremely knowledgeable. You will not find a better fellow to deal with when buying a guitar or bringing one in to be worked on in the Triad. I liked the guitars I had before, but loved them after Dave set them up. Ive had pick-ups installed, and have purchased guitars and amps from Duncan, always satisfied and always walk away feeling like he has been more than fair in pricing. Thanks!

Wonderful customer service! I walked in 10 min. Before closing time and the guy took his time, explained guitar differences to Me and hooked me up with a discount on a guitar case (cuz I bought my first guitar). I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

Called to get quote to repair flute. Inquired the cost to replace the springs, pads, and cork; for dent to be removed; and to be cleaned. Was quoted approximately $100 for everything requested. At the time dropped off, again told them what I wanted done and they were to call if the cost would exceed $100.Received call that flute was done but was advised the only thing completed was corks replaced; dents removed; and cleaned. The bill was still $100 plus tax.Went to pick up, found flute to be just as dirty as it was when dropped off. Flute still has finger prints galore all over it. But was told that it had been polished. (really???) It only looks like the corks were replaced and the dents removed. Where the dent was on the mouth-piece now has a very ripply look to it. It is not smooth. Springs and pads were not replaced because supposedly they did not need. When asked why the bill was still $100, when 2 of the things I requested to be done were not done, I was told Well, our repair man charges us and we have to charge you. Finally agreed to pay what the repair man charged them which was $85.$85 for removal of 2 dents and replacement of corks in my book seems to be way over priced for the work that was actually performed.I will never return to nor will I ever recommend anyone to this store.Suggestion to store: when a customer requests that certain parts be replaced, REPLACE THOSE PARTS. If it is found that those parts do not need replacing, CALL THE CUSTOMER TO DISCUSS, as the customer may want it done anyway because of the age of the instrument. The customer is paying you to do a job and expects that job to be done as requested.

My first guitar store experience was in NYC, some 28 years ago. Since then, I have been to guitar/instrument stores in Utah, Oregon, Nevada, California, and now North Carolina. Going to this store ended up becoming the best music store experience I have had in the past 28 years. Literally. Sam is a nice guy with no intentions on pushing products or services you are not interested in. The guitar selection is of quality instruments for everyone from beginner to master. The business has a legitimate Fender vending license which is not the easiest thing to have being a smaller store. Their used guitars are just as good as anything new from larger establishments, and you will have the guitar you want, set up the way you want, without severe hassle or expense. My Epiphone SG went in for a set up, service, and minor upgrades. When my guitar was returned to me, I never expected it to play as good as it does now. I would put it up against any Gibson SG. Excellent work! Whether you are a novice looking to discover the excitement of playing music, or an experienced musician out to rediscover that feeling you had when you first found your guitar groove, Duncan Music will help you get there!
