Awesome local surf shop!! Ive been going here since I was a kid! Great selection of surf and skate gear. Cool clothes selection as well. The kids who work here are usually all pretty chill and helpful. They sell swimwear, hats, and shoes! They also have a great selection of surf/skate stickers too!!

Just rented equipment from here. Prices were very affordable- $35 for the whole package, and then $20 for each day after. Also they didnt charge for an extra day as long as I bring it back before 1pm. Very nice of them to do that (basically got a free day) all of the staff was very nice and helpful. The gentleman that helped us get fitted was quick and efficient. Will definitely be renting from here again.

For all the kooks complaining about poor service - Go back to Tommy Bahama’s or the Apple store, because you don’t understand the culture. Val Surf is hands down the best surf shop in the LA area, and I’m comparing that to my hometown shops of Encinitas, CA.

This place has always had a wide selection of great quality products. I can’t believe it’s only got 22 reviews and not a 5 star rating. News Flash retail shops have a suggested MSRP. I have always had a great experience there

This place is chill, they have some pretty great deals on used boards or new ones of you want. Clothing is the price you would expect at retail though. Employees are great though, they helped me out getting a board and threw in some wax on the house. Thanks again!

Their prices are a little marked up, but the people there really do surf and skate and know their stuff. I also walked out with a hugely discounted skateboard, so Im super happy with my purchase.

Its better not treat to treat loyal customers as if they are committing fraud when they try to exchange an unworn garment for a smaller size of the same garment. Wont be shopping here again.

Good surf boards and skateboards. Great quality but a little expensive, but last for a long time.

Over priced, unfriendly, they treat you like they are the only game in town so deal with it.

Worst shop ever. Go here If you want to be talked down to. The employees are rude and they are no help. They did not smile back when I walked in. Im never going in this boardshop ever again. Its just not like it used to be.
