Relatively complete hardware and home goods store. Usually well stocked. Most of the staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Prices tend to be on the higher side or at list, but sometimes their specials are impossible to beat. Also a good source for some things when you strike out at Home Depot and Lowes

This hardware store is absolutely amazing. Shopped here for many years and will continue to. Big enough to have everything and great prices but small enough that you can find all the help you need. Everyone is super polite and willing to help out in anyway possible. Thanks to whole staff for keeping this place a great place to shop.

Unless you are building a home from the ground up, DIY is the best store for all your home improvement and gardening needs. Stores like Home Depot are so crowded and overwhelming with never anyone around to help. In my most recent of visits, a very kind and helpful employee, Tyler E. helped me to find some amazing plants and a fountain. It is people like Tyler with such outstanding customer service that enables DIY to retain me as a customer for life. A+ store and A+ service!

I went to this store to return few extra items that I bought from Agoura store. The girl at the customer counter was very rude, and seemed very annoyed by the fact I was there to return some items. She was scanning each items and literarily throwing them on to the counter. I was wondering if she doesn’t like to deal with customers property, why is she at the counter? A good customer service training may be useful for this young woman.

The DIY center is well stocked and plenty of variety to choose from. As far as customer service goes it hard to give if your busy avoiding customers. Not to say there isnt some outstanding employees because there are a couple but the rest are either to young to shallow or just dont care. And with the priced being that of say the Nordstroms of DIY home improvement. One would assume the service would be and its not.

I’ll say it again, the kids that run this store are examples of their generation. Very limited manners, almost no customer awareness, transactional skills are suspect too. Every time I go!The guys in the aisles are excellent though. as they retire or move on, there will be a definite void at our only local hardware store.On the bright side they usually have what I’m after.

Real good place to go. They have everything u want. I had to return an item and it was hassel free. Customer service is great and better than other similar places.

This place needs a make-over - Having a Home Depot nearby would either force this store to improve or perish. People are not really helpful. Prices are higher, its just convenient for people... but a Lowes or Home Depot would be way better.

They carry things other big box stores dont. Easy shopping with helpful cashiers. Wasnt too happy with the floor staff though. Attitudes...maybe caught them on a bad day. Overall, I like shopping here.

Great selection of Christmas lights and accessories. The garden center has a great inventory of organic and conventional fertilizers, insecticides and soil amendments.

I was at the Westlake Village store at about noon on 9/15, I had made my selection and waited in the line (covid 19) for my turn for the sole cashier stand. I was called over to the main stand where another female, apparently in charge, stands. As I was going to the stand, a man rushed over to the spot . The female who had called me over looked at me and just shrugged. I complained but was just stared at me. Another female was at the stand and IU complained to her. She also just shrugged and said she wasnt there. I will not be treated that way. I put down my items and left the store. The original clerk made a very rude comment to me. I will not be treated that way and will not be back.

Stopped here in Westlake Village to pick up some packing tape. Parking at the time was ok, (1:15 pm) however its a busy location due to the chick fil a next door in this shopping center.The store was well stocked and I was able to find a great variety of packing tape options. Cashier was friendly and helpful with discount options offered for the day. Definitely will visit again.

They seem to have a selection of items and were very well stocked... the nursery was beautiful and well organized.

In my opinion, its not usually a good idea to hire teenagers for the early shift. I stopped in recently (on the way to work, mind you), for some keys and had to wait ten minutes for someone to get it together. Then I thought Id go outside to the restroom while waiting, only to find that the main door was locked. The young lady said she would call someone to unlock it but didnt return. I like the tall, elderly gentleman who has been there the times Ive gone in during lunch. Very nice and helpful.

Good selection of hardware, i came for a fly trap and rat control products. Items were in stock prices were fair,cheaper than ace and a little more than home depot. They give a 5 percent discount for seniors, thanks!

Long lines and overpriced items. Still convenient when you are in a hurry. I like to shop local over online if convenient and the cost difference is not too much, but the difference here vs Amazon was too much. Staff could be friendlier.

This place is the worst service you can get, especially the cashiers. Its clear the morale is very low and they do not like their jobs, nor the people who come into the store. If you can purchase what you need elsewhere or online, Id recommend you do so. This place is the only place around without having to drive to then next city over, so the prices here are on the high end, the selection on the low end, and the service is at the bottom end.

Never any staff to help find something and the line is blocked by merchandise .. should clear it away so we as customers can see the checkout employees.

Always the best. Everybody is very helpful and I always find everything I need. The best of all is to see Garfield the cat🐈. He has been around for 15 years and he is loved by everyone who comes to DIY Homecenter in Thousand Oaks.

Its not bad. Local hardware-store-plus, but there’s not much plus. Paint center here is OK. Small inventory. Prices not bad not great. Biggest plus is that they give decent discounts to veterans so I like I come here for that reason ... got to honor the vets. Biggest problem is it opens too late (730am), so have to drive to Orchard or somewhere else a lot.

It was a very busy day when I visited here and I was still provided excellent customer service by four different employees. Thank you!

Always super helpful and friendly, and theres such a variety of stuff its fun to just go browse. The super friendly cat Garfield is a great bonus as well.

What a wonderful store so diversely packed with a great variety of different items for every category that you can think of or not know about for the diyer.... you may want to make a list so you stick to it, otherwise, you might put a noticeable dent on your wallet

Went to pick up a gutter piece before tain arrived tonight. Found it without a problem and a couple Christmas goodies. Good trip.

I asked a friendly employee at the counter a questions about lumber, and was pointed to a employee named Ben. I walked up to him and asked for help, and he looked me up and down, sighed, and replied What?. Horrible customer service, the whole time I was talking with him he was blatantly annoyed and made it clear hed rather not be helping me. Im taking my business somewhere else, and if you appreciate friendly service I would strongly recommend you do the same!

It is a convenient DIY hardware store. However dont expect to get in and out fast. The checkout system is stock on the 70s! Ledgers, picture id, return forms filled in triplicates!....

Always love shopping at this store. When it was the Do It Center to the name change DIY it is easy to get in and out seem to have good and plenty staff to help find things. I like this better than the bigger guys. ( Home Depot and Lowes) DYI is better all around

Just a short trip for making keys. However, they had hand sanitizer!

Not very friendly but they had what I was after. Hard to say much more. They weren’t under pressure but didn’t look me in the eye and were more focused on getting the next sale at the counter.

I have been a customer for over 5 years. Ive spent thousands of dollars there for plants in my yard. Went to return a tree and some perennials and was treated horribly. Manager told me absolutely nothing in this store can be returned after 60 days. Left. Called GM. While on hold, ad states all landscaping plants are guaranteed for a year. Like I told the manager. Went back in today, was treated very rudely, w the nursery manager even stating that the palm I purchased there was not one of theirs. I keep all pots. It was theres. Then a very young girl that started in the nursery this year comes up to verify the annuals that I was returning d/t them being covered in Aphids. She had argued with me the previous time I was in there that a perennial was an annual (Ive only been gardening for 30 years) Finally another manager came to the front and okd the returns.. the cashier was rude. I attempted to speak to her only for her to ignore me. Five years of taking my money. Five years a loyal customer who shopped there every Wed and Friday. This is how I was treated. I will not return with my business.
