First of all, the people are great, warm welcoming and the place is super litt.Coming to the real deal - food .Vast menu, they have lots to chose from the indian cuisine.I tried pav bhaji, masala dosa and there combo which had two veggies, pickles, rice, samosa and some raita.Pav bhaji was great, seemed fresh and was flavorful, probably justifies the most of the positive side of review.Coming to dosa, it was a big no, it was hard, not evenly cooked, sambhar was thick and didnt quite had the authentic taste . Not at all recommended. The combo, the vegetables werent that hot that it should be when served, the rajma was like thick and had lost the charm it has with the rice, i loved paneer lababdar though, the other disappointment was the garlic naan, so basically i was expecting a fresh tandoori garlic naan but it was just a trader joes kinda plain naan with garlic sticked to it ( not impressed) . Samosa on the other hand felt like homemade, not so oily and tasted really good. They have a nice patio kinda seating with nice desi vibes and nice lights.
Wow, what a fund. GF & vegan dishes as well as vegetarian Indian meals from their freshly prepared cafeteria style (& made to order) selections. An outdoor patio w ample seating, and throw in a store of East Asian spices & market items right along TO Blvd. The meal was fabulous and plentiful at a reasonable price. If you like Indian food in a simple setting, this is the place for you.
I love Indian cuisine, ever since I was introduced to it in London England in 1958.I saw a ten minute YouTube video on how to cook chicken BIRIYANI and decided to follow the recipe, using 2.5 lbs of chicken. Every room in my home after three days is still filled with mouth watering aroma.I needed to supplement my spice collection and lucky me, I found this Namaste Spiceland near me. Its a great indian shop/restaurant. The shop is medium sized and easy to navigate. They have everything except for dried plums.
Love the food all fresh and very tasty
My wife and I were in the mood for something vegetarian and different. Namaste Spiceland just happens to be on the way home from where we were so we gave it a try. We were both pleasantly surprised at how good and fresh the food was. The place also happens to be a full fledged super market specializing in all types of Indian foods and vegetables. I would recommend you go there if you ever need authentic spices and other key ingredients for cooking.
Lovely little market! The scent of delicious food and spices fill your nostrils upon first step inside. The person manning the sweets let us taste a few things, which made it a wonderful experience. We did get a few sweets to take home! There was a wait for the food so that is a good sign. Ill be back!
Very clean facility with lots food options. Everything is vegetarian. Small selection of Indian desserts but good quality. Grocery section is just large enough for a good selection of items. Make sure to add samosas to your order for only a dollar each! Staff is very friendly and helpful so feel free to ask questions
Great indian food at very reasonable price. Love their combo varieties.
Food was fantastic. Everyone from employees to customers were so friendly. We will definitely be going back again
Picked up food from the restaurant side. Food is amazing, vegan and vegetarian, you wont miss the meat its so good.Warning if youre sensitive to spicy, I would not recommend, they dont have a mild, medium, hot. Some dishes are mild but others can get pretty spicy. I dont know if you can order mild, we just go for whatever they have out because its easy and we like easy. The staff is very friendly and patient. Made me and my husband feel very welcome.
Great clean spot! Excellent samosas... Wish they carried our favorite Chili Sauce by GaiGan...
The best Indian food market and restaurant in Thousand Oaks! Super friendly employees and great customer service. They have outdoor dining and a spacious parking lot. If you are in the T.O. area make it a point to stop in here.
Probably only Indian store near by. Good place. Good food and good people. The only issue would be the store is vegetarian and you won’t find anything non veg but again great place and great taste at affordable prices.
The food is good. They have some nice variety to have. The quality is good, you get what you pay for.
This place surprised me in every way, I must say. We traveled from San Diego to visit our relatives living in Thousand Oaks and they brought us to this place. Initially, I was a bit skeptic with trying Indian food in an Indian grocery place. But I must say that the food here is better than many other neighborhood Indian restaurants. Along with the taste, portion of the food was huge and price was very reasonable too. And cherry on the top was the pleasant behavior of the staff. Wish we had this restaurant in San Diego. 😊Recommended items:- Chana Bhatura- Pav Bhaji- Samosa
One of my most favorite places for lunch! Everything is so delicious and freshly made. I love trying the different dishes, but my favorites are the chana masala, spiced potatoes, and dahl makhani. Also, get the vada and fried potato cake with chutney.
Very nice people and awesome food.
We chose two of the three vegan specials, which also included lentil rice. Food was neatly packaged in individual containers. Since it had been a while, a dosa was also ordered to satisfy our craving, Everything was delish with the spice levels just as described. We will be back soon...it was as though we were once again reacquainted with an old friend.
This place has always been a hidden gem for good groceries and great food. But their new location is really central and nice! They have North Indian, South Indian, and Indian street foods all in one place. The chaat is a highlight - crunchy, smooth, and filled with yumminess. The perfect appetizer to share before your meal.
Dhaba style eating on the side... Nice collection and reasonable prices
The guys that work here are amazing! Very friendly and helpful. Their prepared food is delicious and reasonably priced.
Very friendly staff and owner. Good variety of Indian groceries.

This is an amazing Indian grocery store in Thousand Oaks. The food really keeps me coming back though. They have a buffet style menu with a variety of selections that seem to change based on the day. Every time Ive ordered food here it has been amazing. I would definitely recommend coming here for groceries and for food!
Loved the food, they are very flexible and customize the food to your taste.
Ordered Masala Dosa with onion filling - Filling was quite salty
This place has a good selection of indian groceries and food, but the service is just too slow. If you crave some Indian food you can get some here, but plan on waiting.
It has one of the best indian food in the county. Loved the way employees treat you. Very friends people around and great place to sit and have food.

Best food, great staff, affordable prices
Great quality food, large portions for the price, highly recommend! The staff is incredibly friendly and give excellent service. One of the few Indian restaurants that serve South Indian food. My favorite place for Indian food in the area.
Well I should have known when a restaurant has spice as a name. Couldnt finish the meal, it was hot as hell. Taste was mediocre. I will pass next time
The food, the culture. 10/10 rec!
Good food for take out.. not too much spicy or oily
Really good food, awesome service and hospitality. This is my go-to place for Indian food and snacks. Being able to do groceries is an added benefit.
Delicious and such reasonable prices! Plus, you can pick up a few South Asian goodies to bring home!
Nice, friendly, helpful people and a wide selection of Indian ingredients and prepared food. The cafe also has fresh, hot, and tasty options.

Amazing Indian food
Nice specialty grocery store, with many options from India.
Love the food and customer service. Such a nice and accomdating staff.
I love there to go food. Its a little on the spicy side even when you ask for mild. The people are genuinely kind and helpful. I like my food very mild. But I eat here quite often.
They have a great selection of all different kinds of food products including spices, rice, beans, and delicious cooked food as well. Not only that but the service is great and their prices are very reasonable. Definitely one of my favorite places to shop 👍💝

Authentic Indian cuisine at incredible prices... always fresh made. The Dosa is Delicious!
We had an awesome time at this restaurant. We liked the first-rate atmosphere and the menu. The staff members were super amiable. I am content we ultimately managed to visit here.
Very nice choice for this type of cuisine. One of the best in the area. New location is great for lunch. Nice grocery selections as well. Very good tea!
Clean place and delightful food and service. The supermarket also has a wide selection of teas, flours, and spices in an easy to see layout. I ate there for lunch and was pleased with the quality, service, and price. The atmosphere is nice to eat inside as well as outside. Nice to have a good vegetarian/vegan option in the area thats not so pricey.
My wife and I come here several times a month now! Great authentic Indian food. Pretty much anything off the menu is great and the combo deals are a good deal. The mango drink are quite fantastic (mango milk shake and mango lassi).Spices are at a particularly good price in the grocery area.
I truly believe that sometimes we have to mix up your food intake shock the system. But in this case vegetarian is a good thing. A must try very good. Two yums.
Best food and helpful staff.
Fresh vegetables & good collection of groceries
I love eating in Namaste Spiceland. their food is tasty and always fresh. I come often for the spicy Windaloo dish, i just love it. And the service here is polite and welcoming. 5 stars/

Best place in town to get all your Indian food needs with the best kind and friendly service. Spicy goodness!
Best Indian food in the surrounding area. Price is very reasonable. Noticed some dip in authentic Indian taste recently hope its temporary.
I love Namaste Spiceland! My child is addicted to mango lassi:s and samosas. I buy samosas in bulk for an easy snack. The food is delicious and the grocery items fresh and fairly priced. Kind staff.
Food is just okay, service is good. They have a lot of groceries and are always very helpful. The taste of food is just okay though and it is bit pricey considering the taste is so so.
I love the deli style options here!!!! I know its healthy and good for you because i dont feel like passing out after eating here! I have no idea what I normally order...because they know what i order 😂 so there is great service here too! My daughter loves pistachio icecream bars here too.
Hands down, best Indian food Ive ever eaten. The market has lots of choices and the staff are super helpful. I drive from Ojai to eat here!
I Like to come here often to shop for items, and I chose to write this review had already promised the staff to provide them with one a while ago. I can find very tasty stuff here.
Have Sri Lankan and Indian groceries, vegetables and spices.
A great place to buy tea and other Indian goods. The food sold in their cafe is outstanding.
Awesome and yummy food, I loved the ambience this spot has, and the employees were very welcoming. Will definitely visit here when I’m around.
Nice little vegetarian Indian market. I love their prepared food, and they also have supplies for home cooking as well as some fresh vegetables that might be hard to find in the local grocery store. People there are also always helpful and courteous.
